Leopard Luxe Eyeshadow Quad ($36.00 U.S. / $43.00 CDN)
- Wild By Nature is a medium-dark nude brown with a matte finish, though it seems like it has just a bit of satin to it. Reminded me of a lighter Soft Brown.
- Notoriety is a slightly sheer dirty brown with cool undertones and flecks of gold shimmer with a velvet finish. I really hate the pay off of Notoriety, even though it’s an interesting color. This is a repromote from Makeup Art Cosmetics.
- Style Predator is a gold-shimmered medium orange base with a veluxe pearl finish. It reminds me of a darker version of Straw Harvest (Spring Colour Forecast) and more of a gold sheen than Off the Page (Makeup Art Cosmetics).
- Furiously Fabulous is a deep, dark brown-gray with a veluxe pearl finish. This is the best textured eyeshadow of the three quads–it’s smooth and pigmented. I thought it was going to look like Knight Divine from an initial glance, but it’s very different. It’s like Brun and Satin Taupe had a baby.
Superslick Liquid Eye Liner ($17.50 U.S. / $21.00 CDN)
- Pure Show is a true gold, and it seems a little less pigmented than the average Superslick liner — it’s more shimmery with a sheerer color base. It can be layered for a more intense, opaque line, though.
- Marked for Glamour is a darkened gray that almost looks taupe when used lightly.
- On the Hunt is a very deep, dark black. It has a very semi-glossy look even when dried, but it’s not wet looking (but not 100% matte/flat).
Pigment ($19.50 U.S. / $23.50 CDN)
- Lithe is a lightly shimmered peach-nude. It reminded me of Dazzleray and Jardin Aires pigments (both limited edition)–the texture is much smoother and finer than either of those pigments, and Lithe isn’t as frosty.
- Old Gold is a green-based gold with touches of reddish brown. It flashes a green-gold overall. It’s a very interesting and complex shade; definitely worth a look if you haven’t acquired this previously. This is a permanent shade.

So the shadow that Style Predator resembles is actually called Straw Harveset, but I LOVE that you called it Straw Hat. That is so cute! Don’t correct it! 🙂 (I also love how you describe certain colors as “like X color and Y color had a baby.”)
I need to get me some Old Gold pigment! I have a jillion pigment samples but that’s one of the few colors I want that I don’t have in sample form. I don’t have any full-size jars but I actually think the new jars are really cute so maybe I will pick up a full-size Old Gold.
I had to fix it! You’re probably the only one who think it’s cute, LOL!
I like the new jars myself. They’re cute, though they’re a little fussier to use or else the insert is! Well, I have big fingers – I think that’s the issue!
Furiously Fabulous and Marked for Glamour both look great- having said that, I refuse to buy a whole quad just for one color! Does Marked for Glamour have a blue/green sheen to it, or is that just the photo? As great as it looks, I have to imagine I could get the same effect w/ pigment and mixing medium. Trying to be budget-conscious, ya know?
It’s there, but it’s not really strong unless you’re in strong light.

The quad is disappointing. It looks like a heavier and darker version of the lighter shades. But those pigments are gorgeous!

I wish you could purchase individual shades from these quads. I like 1-2 from each one, but not the orange-y and gold shades that are in some of them. Too bad you can’t mix and match…

Let me just say…the Old Gold pigment is the ABSOLUTE best. Ladies really need to get on that one…the way the light hits it is gorgeous. Pictures do it NO justice…realtalk.

How do i use the pigment? By itself?
You can use it by itself, as a base, or as an eyeshadow. Or in lipgloss, nail polish, hair spray, etc.

I so want Furiously Fabulous e/s but I’m not very fond of the rest of the quad. If I wasn’t in love with BB Quad, then I would have taken the plunge.

Neither flimsy nor stiff – it’s just enough give so you can go around the eye and not feel like you’re stabbing yourself.
I love the eyeliner and old gold but orange eyeshadow is pretty hard to wear me thinks!
I am LOVING style predator! Too bad I can’t justify buying a quad for one shadow. 🙁

It’s lot more beige/golden, less glittery.
Those are dried swatches of the eyeliner? Whoa, they actually came through with the wet look if so!!
It does have a bit of a wet look when dried down 🙂

Hey Christine, thanks for the pictures. I was able to get the Nocturnal Superslick and the Leopard Luxe eyeshadow quad. I completely agree with what you said about the Notoriety sucky color pay-off. But I still feel the quad was a good one and would be useful for travel. I haven’t played with the Superslick yet, but am interested to see how I’ll use it without looking crazy (I got the silver). Hope you get a chance to do some looks with these products… 🙂

Satin Taupe would be the closest permanent MAC shade probably, though it’s a great deal browner.
Very pretty but I can see this is not going to suit me.

I have pink undertones in my skin, and am matched with NW15. (although this means neutral warm, are pink undertones generally warm or cool? I can never grasp the concept!) To my question, do you think this quad will suit my skintone…or do you think it would look sickly on me?

Think of NW15 is cool or for those with pink undertones, so yes you’re cool! 😀
I’d be careful with it – I think anyone can rock anything, but you may have to work at it a little more (rather than the shades naturally complementing you) with this one.
WOW! I would totally buy Furiously Fabulous on it’s own. But the others just dont draw me in enough to purchase the quad. 🙁

Wish they just sold Style Predator from that quad! I have the quad that notoriety came in some months ago and that is the biggest waste of money ever from mac. It seriously doesnt show up on my NC45 skin. 🙁 Im not paying for that color again!
The superslick liners are all going to become part of the permanent collection once Fab. Felines releases?? Is that right? Ay, I’m frothing at the mouth for those liners, but if they’re going to become permanent colors maybe I’ll get the limited stuff first. But I just want to be sure so I don’t miss out. Wild By Nature = Soft Brown, Notoriety = Mystery (but it doesn’t have the shimmer), Rule (but it’s darker, no shimmer), Satin Taupe/Brun
How does Lithe compare to Blonde’s Gold pigment?
It’s peachier, not quite as gold, less metallic.

I had to get buy Desires&Devices eyeliner, the color was just so “me” 😀 I might get also Wildly refined lipglass, and Lithe pigment was lovely too… I usually don’t buy pigments that expensive but if the color is perfect, i still might have to get it 😉
