I hope these last longer on the lips than the previous Lustre formula. I wonder how close they might be to the Huggable lippies (I loved those so much so, of course, they were discontinued). Some of these colours look really lovely and some of the names are really clever (Pigment of Your Imagination and Beam There, Done That) or just plain cute! (Thanks, It’s MAC for example)
The “Thanks, It’s Mac” shade look a little like the discontinued Nars Belize lip gloss shade. Been trying to find a dupe forever. Let’s hope!
FYI, Belize is still available on the Nars website, at least in Canada
Yeesh, I was hoping the coconut oil trend was ending. Yet another MAC lip product I can’t use lol. I’ll cry if they reformulate the satin or powder kiss at all :/
Yeah, it’s everywhere. IDK that I’m allergic, but coconut stuff closed my throat when I was little, so not going there. soap, shampoo, deo, serum foundations, bath products, absolutely everywhere. And really don’t understand coconut water, at all.
These look glorious but I’ll wait to hear some feedback on them.
When I saw this, I got all excited thinking that they’d bring back their 2 Lustre Viva Glam lipsticks, too. But, nope, I’m not seeing those.
Other than that, it does sound like a promising reformulation.
I was hoping the same! Those 2 were my go-tos.
Ooh, love this type of formula and I see a lot of shades I’m interested in!
I’ll be curious to see reviews of the formula but so many of the shades seem very dupe-able that I don’t feel the need to grab any of them right away. I was hoping that they’d carry over more shades and/ or include a few unique colours.
Some of the shades look lovely, but i think i will wait for your reviews. Love sheer lipsticks.
These look pretty and a good color variety. Even though I’m fully vaccinated I still mostly wear masks when out in public scared of the virus variances. Lip stick fiend that I am I never stopped wearing my lip sticks but I stick to the ones that don’t or the ones that barely transfer. Chanel liquid, Pat McGraft and Lisa Eldridge lip sticks stay neat under masks. These look like the slippery formula lip stick that leaves a mess on masks.
Yep, still in the mask zone, too. And I hate that I leave lipstick on the inside of my masks.
It looks like MAC dropped both Lovelorn and Plumful, which I loved. Booo.
I am pretty excited about the new formula but I am sorry for those who are not able to enjoy due to the coconut inclusion. I have always loved the look of the MAC lustre formula but hated how easily they melt and the drying factor. If they don’t last, it is okay by me because I am happy to reapply if they are actually conditioning my lips (and no lipstick lasts on me anyway b/c I eat, drink caffeinated beverages to get me through the day, probably lick my lips unconsciously, and talk too much evidently). I am interested to try the formula so I am going with colors that are stand by work horses for me, namely the Sell Out (pinky nude with silver pearl–been looking for a dupe of Bare Venus forever, Spice it Up (loved that LE color and hope this is the same), and Beam There Done That (can’t go wrong with mauvy plum). I really hope these actually condition and not just shine! And, if this is anything like the Love Me formula, it will be great for me.
