Into the Madness
MAC Into the Madness Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, light-medium chartreuse green with warm, yellow undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage (almost to full coverage) that applied evenly. The consistency was lightly creamy, not too thick or too thin, and was comfortable to wear, though I had some color pull into lip lines over time. This shade wore well for four and a half hours and gave my lips a slightly peachy stain, and the formula was neither drying nor hydrating.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Oh Lordy, No! At least not on me with my coffee stained, not-so-white teeth. Or olive undertones, unless I really wanted to look like THAT green emoji….the one indicating one being very sick to their stomach? LoL! Chartreuse eyeshadow is about the only way I can wear this color, because it always has other shades used with it.
Yeah, I need whiter teeth for this one!
Not to worry, yours are way whiter than mine!
OH that is a deliciously ugly yet beautiful lipstick color. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
It’s very unique!
Just when I thought i saw every lipstick color possible… This color is somehow amazing! You can’t help but to stare at it!
It is a fun color!
This will probably look terrible on me but I really want it anyway bc it’s so unique! Glad it scored decently well, especially since this seems to be MAC’s first OPAQUE lime green! 😉
It’s not a color you see too often!
I love this shade!!! ?
Yayyy!
I think this one would be too yellow for me. I’m kind of relieved when I *don’t* want one of these Rocker Chick lipsticks!
Wow! Not a one? That is some self-control 😉
LOL! This range just has some really fun colors (that are a lot of fun to mix and play with together), and the matte formula is not ultra-matte, not drying, so I like it 🙂
Why MAC, WHY??? No
I wish it was a bit better!
I wouldn’t be able to pull this off if my life depended on it, but it’s a very spring-like green
It is perfect for spring!
This might be a more usable color as a topper over a really deep aubergine or black. Gorgeous color but I would not be able to ever pull this off!
That would look horrifying on me.
I couldn’t pull it off, but oh my what a fun colour. I really like that they have come out with some unique lipstick colours. It brightens this oh so boring winter we have here. (No snow.)
