Hmm… I used to wear a very similiar lipstick color all the time. I may have to grab one of these for nostalgia’s sake.
I’d love to see the lipstick swatched, perhaps it looks less intimidating that way.
I actually bought a black lipstick this summer. It didn’t look too bad on my fair, cool toned skin, so nothing really scares me anymore 😀
This is more interesting than the cremesheen black. Still won’t be purchasing though.

I had heard that this was going to be a re-release of an old favourite l/s of mine called Jet. It sounds very similar and the description sounds the same, but now I’m wondering if there’s a reason for its having a new name…
You’re right, this actually is Jet. I’d like to see more swatches of this than the one I’ve seen. The “frost” part of the description kind of scares me.
If this is Jet( I had that before) then the description doesn’t sound right. Jet was kind of frosty if I remember right-but really black. this is supposed to be grey frost-hence lighter. Should be interesting to see!

I can tell you that it is really black, Cait. Black Knight (if you’re familiar with it) is a creme. Jet is slightly frosty. These aren’t sheer at all! Anyway as always MAC is sooo cool! Can’t wait for this gunmetal shade-should be fun to experiment.
I must have this lipstick. I have learned to hate MAC nail polish, though, especially at its inflated prices.
Can’t wait! I’ve been wanting a good gunmetal lipstick. They’re so badass.

It’s only available online and the Times Square store.
So we can only order this on the 23rd? Have to get it. I have Black Knight and it’s great as a lip liner. I’m really anxious to get this-different!

I would rock this color no matter what. However, if you’re scared of it, just layer with another lipstick to change the color! It’s probably more opaque than the Estée Lauder gunmetal luminizer, but you can google that to get an idea.
I was thinking the same thing. I’d love to try to layer this over a deep purple lipstick

I’d probably end up looking like an extra on The Walking Dead if I wore this with my super pale skin, but I’m still mesmerized by it anyway, lol.

I’d love the nailpolish, but have tons already just like it. The lipstick looks fun, but how has the time to run out for yet another LE Mac collection.
On the fence about this lippie. It could be really fun and good for layering. I’m not afraid of the color but I am concerned about the finish. MAC is really inconsistent when it comes to evenness and things like that. We’ll see.

I got my Grey Friday lipstick and I love it! This is not just a “grey” lipstick. It’s multi facet. You can make it darker or lighter or mute it. You can wear it alone or layer it with other lipsticks. For a more dramatic look I make it a dark grey and it still looks very nice. I wore it outside yesterday and today and got tons of compliments on it. I am going to wear it to work tomorrow and mute it down to just a stain since I work at a Law Firm. Wish I had gotten a backup of this lipstick. It’s amazing.
