MAC Florabundi, Moxie, & Tanarama Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

MAC Florabundi Lipstick

Florabundi

MAC Florabundi Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a brighter, medium lavender with strong, warm pink undertones and a frosted sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had a touch of slip without being slippery. It wore well for four hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.

Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.

The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

MAC Moxie Lipstick

Moxie

MAC Moxie Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a deep fuchsia with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, while the texture was dense but not too firm, so I was able to apply it in a single, fluid stroke without the lipstick dragging on my lips during application. The texture was lightweight and wore down to a matte finish within an hour of wear. It stayed on well for over six hours, left a fuchsia stain behind, and was a touch drying after four hours of wear.

MAC Tanarama Lipstick

Tanarama

MAC Tanarama Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a light gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied decently, but it could have been more even overall. There was a touch of product that gathered in my lip lines, which became more noticeable as the lipstick wore on. The consistency was lightweight, thin with enough slip not to tug but didn’t slide around while it was on. This shade lasted for four hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

I checked these out in the store today. This year, MAC handled it well. They handed out wristbands and kept the line calm and civil. But I still didn’t feel like waiting in the long line, so I just went and looked at the shades. Moxie was by far my favorite. It swatched gorgeously. If I didn’t already have similar shades, like MUFE M301, I might consider getting it in the fall.

I hit Macy’s when they opened (was first in line ?) and got Florabundi and then hopped the Portland MAX train and hit Nordstrom downtown and scored Moxie. Macy’s was swamped and Nordstrom downtown wasn’t busy at all. These will make an awesome addition to my kit for school ☺️?

Moxie for the win! If I didn’t already have 2 tubes of UD Catfight and 1 of MAC Mittai Pink, I’d have scored this one today!
As it was, I did get Delish at Nordies this a.m., also did a Back -To-MAC and got Paramount, bought a b/u of Li Li’s Motor City Lipglass, too. And then….I went to MAC and got on line for Mixed Media. Nowhere near as many people as last year! This year it was handled extremely well by MAC, which also made a major difference.

I got Moxie, which is one of the three available shades bere in Italy, and I’m enjoying it quite a lot! I hope they’ll release Florabundi here!
