Will you be reviewing these, Christine? I might wait for your reviews as I fear the dreaded “fallout” issue but there are a few very appealing colours in this collection. Also, are the pots “screw top” or have the regular MAC snap-lids been removed for the photos? Do you know? I can happily do without screw top lids!

Lisa Avatar

Christine reviewed some of the shades when they previously released. So if the shades you’re interested in are repromotes, chances are there’s a review for it. IIRC, they were screw on lids. Hope that helps!

As somebody with hooded eyes, I do notice a decent amount of fallout over the course of the day, but it’s not awful like some of the more glittery shades they’ve released in other lines. I will warn that if you live in an area that’s very humid with variable seasons, you may want to keep it stored in a temperature controlled area because it can start to crumble after awhile.

I find it hard to get excited over the formula, I’d rather get 4 Color Pop shadows for the price of one of these (though I do admit I’d like to see Color Pop pick up some of the bolder shades!)

Whoa, $22 each?? That’s $1 more than MUFE Artist and the new Kat Von D ones, and MAC never has sales or discounts. These better outperform both. If they do, I’m eyeing the purple, blue, and chartreuse

I. LOVE. THESE. I have Coil and Superwatt. Superwatt is one of my favorite shadows of life and I am almost done with the first one I bought. I have 2 more stashed away. I’d love for these to become permanent. The formula is so pretty and so easy to work with and zero fallout. I need to use them with a primer (MAC’s Painterly, in my case) to make them last all day and avoid creasing, but I use Painterly daily anyway. I like these better than ColourPop, better than Chanel’s Illusion D’Ombre…they’re awesome.

Wow! $22 each..Mac is getting a little high in the price range. They need to out-perform MUFE for that, Also, Idk if I can handle another LE Mac collection. My first reaction was “Barf, another Mac LE collection”. I’m sorry. I love me some Mac. But, I also love that I can get quality at a reasonable prices.

All I can say is that I LOVE the pot of Superwatt I bought last year, so yes, I am really happy about this! Superwatt gives me NO fallout, is buildable without clumping up on itself (*ahem* ColourPop), lasts till I take it off, PERFECTION. So now to get a backup and also Highly Charged. But, why did MAC have to go and raise the price on these?!?

Jenn Avatar

The jewel tones look amazing, but MAC is really starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth. They keep increasing the prices of their LE products w/ little innovation or improvement w/ their forumlas while other companies have kept their prices steady while improving on their formulas and quality.

Infra-Violet, Highly Charged and Emerald Power have my attention. If the green pearl showed up really well, I’d be interested in Black Sands.

It’s so nice to see some brights coming out! First KVD, now these. I didn’t get the repromotes the first time around, so I don’t mind the repeats.

Aren’t these the same electric cool Shadows that came out about 2 springs or summers ago??? Thy came in a thicker yeah down pit and the consistency/texture resembled colourpop??? I still have the pink and teal shares.. Hit pan ok both but never finished them

I went a little nuts and bought a bunch of these over the weekend and I love them! I got:
Electric Illumination, Love Power, In Orbit, Superwatt, Electroplate, Coil, Infra-Violet
I love them all so far. I shy away from anything with glitter in it, because it ends up all over my face, clothes, hands, etc. and I have had no problem with these, they stay put.
I heard about Colour Pop (from here) after I bought them, so I will try some of those out next, since the price is much lower.
Just wondering what brushes are good for these? I like them because I can do my eye shadow with my fingers in seconds, for every day use it’s much easier for me in the morning… but wondering when I am applying them, for instance to the inner lid for a pop of shimmer, what will work? I tried using an eyebrow brush to use as under the eye shadow/liner and product didn’t stick to it very well.
