MAC El Dorado & Paragon Eye Kohls Reviews, Photos, Swatches

MAC El Dorado Eye Kohl
MAC El Dorado Eye Kohl

MAC El Dorado Eye Kohl ($17.50 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “bold gold.” It’s a medium-dark gold with warm, bronzy undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque coverage in one stroke, which was buildable to mostly opaque coverage in two layers. The texture was firm but not stiff, and it didn’t drag or feel uncomfortable to apply. The color lasted for eight hours on my lower lash line. NARS Campo de' Fiori (P, $24.00) is lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Captivating (LE, $5.00) is warmer (95% similar). Make Up For Ever ME42 Metallic Bronze (P, $21.00) is lighter (95% similar). Urban Decay Scorch (DC, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Sephora Girls Night Out (PiP, $10.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC $$$ (P, $17.00) is lighter (90% similar). NARS Altiplano (P, $26.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC Handforged (P, $16.00) is lighter (95% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Oh My Gold (102) (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Smog (P, $22.00) is darker (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Aurora (Illuminate) (LE, ) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

MAC Paragon Eye Kohl ($17.50 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “champagne gold.” It’s a light-medium, peachy gold with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good coverage in one pass, and the texture was firm but not sharp. It didn’t drag or tug on the lash line, but it isn’t a waxy or creamy eyeliner either. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me. Estee Lauder Pink Gold (P, $28.00) is warmer (95% similar). Zoeva Myth (P, $7.50) is lighter (95% similar). Estee Lauder Pearl (P, $28.00) is lighter (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood (Metallic) (PiP, ) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Both shades will be available online May 26th, in-stores June 2nd (select locations).

El Dorado’s really beautiful! I like how it’s a warm bronzy gold, great for day or night, don’t see anything like it in my stash, will grab

Both are really pretty, so I’m probably going to pick them up. Paragon reminds me of a more natural I Get No Kick liner, which come sometimes read too pearly on my lower waterline.

Hello Christine, Can you compare Paragon with MAC I Get No Kick Kohl? I tried to search and compare them but could not find a swatch of I Get No Kick.
