What’s Swatch Saturday? I can’t always review products with full, in-depth reviews, but sometimes, I can at least give you photos and swatches, and then also provide a link to dupes and comparisons for those interested! This also helps us to build up our Swatch Gallery and add even more entries to The Dupe List, which can be helpful to readers at any point.

I have Expensive Pink and I like it! I really want Coppering.
What do you pair it with, Rikki?
I have coppering and I love it! 🙂
Ooooooooh, Expensive Pink looks so good!
It’s a great shade!
Love & have all except Coppering, which I think is better on the blue & green eyed girls. Pretty colors for sure
So glad you have most of these, Liz!
My mum has Amber Lights and she loves it! 🙂 I have wanted Coppering for so long and Expensive Pink looks like a gorgeous colour to!
Amber Lights has such an awesome texture!
Thankyou so much for posting this!! Next month im getting cranberry, deep damson, coppering and im debating on getting Amber lights or expensive pink, cant decide yet!
Ooh, tough! Maybe Expensive Pink? I feel like that might go along with Cranberry and Deep Damson a bit better (but still works with Coppering).
Do you find that these shades make eye look red and tired? I would love to try coppering or expensive pink, but have been afraid that they would make my eyes look bloodshot. My eyes tend to get that way anyway because they are so dry. Thanks!
For me, more pinky-reds tend to do that, and I find the best way to combat that is to pair it with a more brightening shade (like gold). Expensive Pink doesn’t do it to me, since it is lighter and warmer!
I have all of these, do of course I love them! Lovely MAC Copper round, Christine!
Not at all surprised you have ’em!
Haha! I <3 Copper! XO!
Coppering is still on my need-to-get list!
It’s a great shade!
Expensive Pink and Amber lights are both straight up orange on my warm skin. Makes me so sad 🙁
Awwww 🙁 Have you found shades that work on your skin tone that look like them at least?
Love Coppering! It’s the lid color for my stage makeup. Need to replace it since I’m currently storing the broken remains in a screw-top jar.
Have you ever tried re-pressing, Amanda? Might save ya a couple of bucks!
I haven’t tried re-pressing yet, but I’m also scraping the pan edges on the Nanogold and Remotely Grey that pair with it, so it’s getting to be about time. The Coppering has only lasted so long because it’s so intense! I’m debating picking up the Devilishly Dark palette as a possible replacement. Thoughts?
I haven’t tried the actual quad, so it could be better/worse than the shades that I’ve seen previously, though I’m not a big fan of Honey Lust!
May I ask what the concern with Honey Lust is?
Fall out!
I’m happy to say I have all of these except Mythology 🙂 Love them all!
Nice!! I’m not at all a fan of Mythology!
These are my favorite kinds of shades for summer. So pretty!
Me too! I love a good sunset-hued eye look.
I want to try Expensive Pink, too. Christine, do you think I can pair it with Soba or would a less warm brown look better?
I think it could work with Soba! 🙂
I have all of these except for Amber Lights. I adore them and the way they make my blue eyes POP!
Nice! Glad you like ’em!
I bought Mythology at the recommendation of a SA when I was looking for a replacement for my discontinued Kenyan Copper by Estee Lauder. Its darker and more shimmery than Kenyan Copper which was more of a satiny peach, but I love it! I was afraid it would be too dark, but its perfect to make my lids pop in any eye shadow design I do. Its also very close to the coppery shade in Naked 3, which I loved, but it had no staying power compared to MAC’s! It goes well with soft brown, saddle, and any warm or reddish brown. I like expensive pink also, but they may be too similar.
Happy to hear that Mythology worked so well for you!
Love love love Amber Lights and Antiqued, I have a lot of similar shades. Expensive Pink looks so pretty here! Colors like that on my lids tend to make me look a little sickly though
The texture of MAC’s more coppery shades is really nice (like Amber Lights and Antiqued)!
Expensive Pink and Coppering are beautiful! 🙂 I really love just staring at eyeshadows in the pan sometimes…am I strange? LOL 😀
Not at all 😀
Have Amber Lights and Expensive pink and I adore them both. All the others have been on my wishlist for ages. Coppering isnt available in Korea so I’ll have to make a plan to get it but I believe every blue eyed girl needs it.
I can’t believe Coppering isn’t available in Korea!
I think I cornered the market on copper shadows, but I don’t own Coppering or Mythology. I have everything else and dupes to spare! Antiqued is my favorite of the copper shadows. It’s such a no brainer for my NC50 complexion. Love the coppers all year round.
So glad to hear that Antiqued is a winner on your skin tone, Erica! *files that away*
Antiqued is one of the shades in my 15 pan custom palette I made on Maccosmetics.com! Which I have been just waiting to pull the trigger on… other shades are Brule, Shroom, Naked Lunch, Ricepaper, Patina, Vex, Bamboo, Soba, Mulch, All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Arena, Sable and Satin Taupe… been thinking if I should swap out of the the beige-y shadows for something like Soft Brown… except i’d like something more neutral toned… hmmm!
Swap out ONE of the beige-y shadows… 😛 proof read much?!
You could probably get away with one less beige – between Brule, Shroom, Naked Lunch, Ricepaper, and All That Glitters, you are way, way covered!
I have green eyes, so these shadows are what I reach for if I want them to pop. Expensive Pink is my favourite (with Brown Script in the crease). Coppering looks interesting!
Thank you for sharing that pairing, Raven!
I have all 5 of them. I am a MAC NC 44 with a strong gold/orange undertone and they are all core staples of my neutrals palette with the exception of coppering. Coppering is too red on my lid so I use it as a blush!
Ooh, nice! Didn’t think to use Coppering as a blush!
I put expensive pink on top of coppering sometimes, to add more pop..
Sounds so pretty!
Amber Lights, Antiqued, Coppering and Expensive Pink are all in my everyday palette. Love! Mythology is a pretty color, but the fall-out it crazy. Don’t care for the Lustres…apart from Tempting.
Lustres aren’t my fave either!
That pan of Antiqued has seen some stuff!
LOL!
All of these are actually some of my all-time favorite MAC eye shadows. I even keep Amber Lights in my everyday, neutral palette.
Amber Lights is such a great shade!
Expensive Pink is absolutely gorgeous.. I have seen a dupe in INGLOT.. will belaying my hands on that ..
While rest of the shades are too pretty to be ignored.. I liked all 5 here.. 🙂
They’re really lovely!
