What’s Swatch Saturday? I can’t always review products with full, in-depth reviews, but sometimes, I can at least give you photos and swatches, and then also provide a link to dupes and comparisons for those interested! This also helps us to build up our Swatch Gallery and add even more entries to The Dupe List, which can be helpful to readers at any point.

Thankyou so much for posting this!! Next month im getting cranberry, deep damson, coppering and im debating on getting Amber lights or expensive pink, cant decide yet!

Do you find that these shades make eye look red and tired? I would love to try coppering or expensive pink, but have been afraid that they would make my eyes look bloodshot. My eyes tend to get that way anyway because they are so dry. Thanks!

I haven’t tried re-pressing yet, but I’m also scraping the pan edges on the Nanogold and Remotely Grey that pair with it, so it’s getting to be about time. The Coppering has only lasted so long because it’s so intense! I’m debating picking up the Devilishly Dark palette as a possible replacement. Thoughts?

I want to try Expensive Pink, too. Christine, do you think I can pair it with Soba or would a less warm brown look better?

I bought Mythology at the recommendation of a SA when I was looking for a replacement for my discontinued Kenyan Copper by Estee Lauder. Its darker and more shimmery than Kenyan Copper which was more of a satiny peach, but I love it! I was afraid it would be too dark, but its perfect to make my lids pop in any eye shadow design I do. Its also very close to the coppery shade in Naked 3, which I loved, but it had no staying power compared to MAC’s! It goes well with soft brown, saddle, and any warm or reddish brown. I like expensive pink also, but they may be too similar.

Have Amber Lights and Expensive pink and I adore them both. All the others have been on my wishlist for ages. Coppering isnt available in Korea so I’ll have to make a plan to get it but I believe every blue eyed girl needs it.

I think I cornered the market on copper shadows, but I don’t own Coppering or Mythology. I have everything else and dupes to spare! Antiqued is my favorite of the copper shadows. It’s such a no brainer for my NC50 complexion. Love the coppers all year round.

Antiqued is one of the shades in my 15 pan custom palette I made on Maccosmetics.com! Which I have been just waiting to pull the trigger on… other shades are Brule, Shroom, Naked Lunch, Ricepaper, Patina, Vex, Bamboo, Soba, Mulch, All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Arena, Sable and Satin Taupe… been thinking if I should swap out of the the beige-y shadows for something like Soft Brown… except i’d like something more neutral toned… hmmm!

I have green eyes, so these shadows are what I reach for if I want them to pop. Expensive Pink is my favourite (with Brown Script in the crease). Coppering looks interesting!

Norma Avatar

I have all 5 of them. I am a MAC NC 44 with a strong gold/orange undertone and they are all core staples of my neutrals palette with the exception of coppering. Coppering is too red on my lid so I use it as a blush!

Amber Lights, Antiqued, Coppering and Expensive Pink are all in my everyday palette. Love! Mythology is a pretty color, but the fall-out it crazy. Don’t care for the Lustres…apart from Tempting.
