MAC Cham-Pale: Complete Comfort Cream & Fix+ Lavender
MAC Complete Comfort Cream
MAC Cham-Pale: Skincare
There were two skincare products launched with Cham-Pale: MAC Complete Comfort Cream ($32.00 for 1.7 fl. oz.), which is permanent (except Asian locations), and MAC Fix+ Lavender ($18.00 for 3.4 fl. oz.), which is limited edition. This post is more of a photo post than a review, as I haven’t had the opportunity to trial either of these products as I would normal skincare products. I am not currently planning to review either in-depth, as my skincare review calendar has several other products already in line. (I also do not want to lead you on thinking you may see one in the near future!)
The Complete Comfort Cream is a thicker cream that absorbs quickly (about three to five minutes on the face), and it has MAC’s signature skincare fragrance, which seems to be a blend of subtle citrus and some kind of herbal hint–it’s pleasant and not overwhelming nor “perfume-y.” It is the same Comfort Cream originally part of Prescriptives’ line (and still technically available online at Prescriptives). Given the thickness of the cream, I imagine this is most suited for those with dry to normal-to-dry skin.
Fix+ Lavender is a colorless spray that has a strong scent of sweetened vanilla and lavender when sprayed, but the scent dissipates quickly (we’re talking seconds). I found the scent too strong; too much when spraying on my face, but when I sprayed it in my boyfriend’s face, he thought it was “nice.”
MAC Cham-Pale Collection is a limited edition launch (official information and photos here) that is set to launch in-stores on December 26th in North American, January 2011 for international MAC locations. The approximate launch date for online is December 24th. It features color products as well as a few skincare items.

“…but when I sprayed it in my boyfriend’s face..”
He’s a keeper, but I’m sure you already knew that 😉
Thank you so much for your hard work! Great review, as always 😀
Thank you especially for photographing the ingredient lists! Unfortunately, it is not understandable to me why online stores do not put up these lists with their products, it would make things so much more easier. It would also make things easier for_them, since probably fewer products would be returned due to a sensitivity to one or more ingredients (of course one could write and ask but that is quite unrealistic for Limited Edition products; and MAC has always taken over a week to reply to such questions by e-mail).
For me the cream has already wayyy too many ingredients.. 🙁
is that comfort cream a moisturiser?
Yes.
“when i sprayed it in my boyfriends face he said it was ‘nice.'”
i dont know why but this just cracked me up. men are so descriptive its just scary sometimes 😉
Your boyfriend is awesome for taking some Fix+ to the face! I asked my boyfriend to smell my lipsticks as I was reviewing them because I had a cold and couldn’t tell for myself. haha
I am interested in checking that cream out. I get some dry spots in the winter, even though I have oily skin. I am definitely getting the fix+ lavender. I love lavender
Christine can you tell me please if the Complete Comfort Cream’s big enough to use on the body? Do you think it’s suitable enough to use on the body?
I wouldn’t use it, if only because it would be cost prohibitive. As noted in the post, you get 1.7 fl. oz. for the price!
Hi! Thanks for all the great reviews! Do you think that the fix + lavander is prone to break out? I question this cause i have heard that fix+ rose did.
No idea, really just depends on your skin.
Christine, do you have a review of the regular Fix + ? I can’t find it! If not, do you think it’s a must-have for a makeup collection?
No, I don’t, but it’s like expensive water to me, personally. Doesn’t do anything that water doesn’t do for my foundation, so I don’t think it’s a must-have.
Hi!
I bought a MAC kit and it came with Studio Fix+ but i really didnt understand how and when to use this, also i didnt understand what is this for…. can you help me?
PS – i am your fan (hugs from Brazil)
It’s supposed to help set your makeup – spray it on once or twice at the end of your makeup!
I tried both and it’s great, the fix+ really helps set your make up, I use foundation powder on my face and helps not to look too cakey. Normally I have combination oily skin, but don’t know why, the condition of my skin change, maybe because of the environnemeny or the products I use on my face, anyway I tried the comfort cream and it was super efficient brings moisture and comfort plus it is not oily, like the ingredients listed also. I also use their lightful skincare, the comfort cream I use it in the evening as a night cream.
