Lustre drops is a highlighting liquid that you can blend with your moisturizer, foundation, etc or add on to the areas on your face that you want to highlight. I love this product and have been stocking up for all-year round usage. It’s the same idea as NARS Illuminator. It looks really good on a tanned skin and give it a healthy sun-kissed glow.
The bottles are very small but you need very little (a few drops).
Hope this info helps! 😀

And…once again they leave out Metal Rock MSF for the brown girls. They haven’t repromoted this in…never. This collection would have been perfect to repromote Metal Rock…

Mina Avatar

I know, they seem to be making alot of collections lately for lighter-skin tones, while us brown girls have to wait for the spring or summer for our type of makeup

Ivy Avatar

I think the Micky Contractor collection was good for a lot of brown skin tones. Personally, I’m looking forward to the MSF Naturals in this collection.

Corliss Avatar

YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THE LUSTRE DROPS HAVE COME OUT THE LAST 2 YEARS AND NO BRONZE HERO. I WAS LUCKY I FOUND IT AT MY CCO. SHAME ON MAC FOR LEAVING OUT THE BROWN GIRLS 2 YEARS IN A ROW!!!

Aubrey Avatar

Wow! I will need to save for this one. This looks like it will be one of my fave collections. I can not wait for the surf baby one either! What will the skinsheen leg sprays be though?

Lucie Avatar

NO MORE MAC. NO MORE. All of these collections make me never want to buy again! And I haven’t for quite a while actually and am not suffering from MAC withdrawel. It’s a new collection every week…so gimicky.

Brenda Avatar

AAHHHH!!!! I HAVE to try to get those lustre drops!!!! I ordered them this past year when they were out but stupid UPS delivered my order to the WRONG PEOPLE and I wasn’t able to reorder – they were all sold out!!!

ak Avatar

Which bronzer is better for an NC45 though? I’ve forgotten the name of the one that I finished that came in seafoam green packaging from a MAC collection from Summer 2006 (?) that I finished years ago!

Vivian Avatar

oh my goodness! lustre drops are coming back out! i wanted to get it when it first came out but didn’t get the chance to – now i do! 😀

Karen Avatar

I will definitely be getting both of the lustre drops. I have sun rush and love them for highlighting in the summer. I may also get Give Me Sun! since I have no MSF’s yet.

sherri Avatar

The Mineralize Skinfinish Natural description sound like they would match the 2 bronze strips from the wonder woman msf…kinda makes me think twice about getting them now and just holding out for these 2 msf.

livnzoe Avatar

so much stuff is permanent in this collection!
the lustre drops are a repromote from last summer’s “to the beach collection”..
so sad about that..

Kat Avatar

The Give Me Sun! MSF sounds a little interesting, but other than that I’m dissapointed. If MAC had made this a collection full of LE bronzey eye makeup, I’d be all over it, but this…meh.

Annick Chantal L. H. Avatar

My wish-list contains: MSF natural sun power (I hope to buy 2) and bronzing powder. Which one? I need to see your swatches to have a first idea.

Maham Avatar

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be picking these up. Can you tell me about the MSF naturals though? Aren’t they supposed to be skin toned? Whats with the colors?

53 Avatar

love a collection that doesnt have too much effort on their side and that i don’t have to buy a lot of things. hah. really looking forward to the skinfinish naturals

Codiee Avatar

When I seen “Bronze Everyday” I was looking forward to see bronze eyeshadows, eyeliners, blushes, and maybe even paintpots! Since I have blue eyes, it would really make me look gorgeous, but most of these are permanent and repromotes! ): Definitely passing! And I like being nw15, and pale so 😛

Julie Avatar

I love bronze! Sounds just like my kind of collection. 🙂 I’ll definitely be trying those Lustre Drops! Anything that involves bronzy, highlighted, sunkissed skin… I’ll be all over it!
Can’t wait for the promo pics 🙂

Becca Avatar

wow… uhm, I wouldn’t really consider this a collection considering almost everything is either permanent or a repromote, but give me sun! and sun power sound interesting enough. We’ll see…

Trisha Mae! Avatar

I think it’s fine that MAC spotlights their permanent items, makes much sense to me!

I’m SO looking forward to Sun Power MSFN. I♥ matte bronzers, & I’m hoping this one would be deep enough to contour my NC42 skin! [:

Thanks for the info, Christine!

Hi there,

can you please clarify something? Every single item on this list says “permanent” next to it, even though its clear that lustre drops, the leg spray, and the two msfn’s are not current perm items. Are they becoming perm? is that why they say perm? or was it a mis-print?

thanks

xo

MAC does not have a bronzing unit right now, all of their bronzers are mixed in with powders…. This collection is going to all be permanent (even the re-promoted limited life) and have its own permanent unit/displayer with all of these things together. The MSF’s are bronzing MSFs, so they have the same satin finish as a mineralize skinfinish but they are in shade that are more suitable for bronzing.

Gabriella Manuli Avatar

Confused… The title for Lustre Drops says ‘Limited Edition’, but next to each name/ description of the Lustre Drops it says ‘Permanent’. Which is true?

Cathy Avatar

I bought and used up Kinsheen Leg Spray a few years ago and OMG I am so happy it is back. I am a professional entertainer and am on stage a lot in the summer. It gives my legs a beautiful glow without me having to get skin cancer getting a real tan! It is better than any leg product I have ever used and i think I have tried them ALL!

Leash Avatar

Just a question, why does everything say permanent? I was so excited and waiting for this collection becuase I want the Give Me Sun! MSF Natural, but it says permanent so I was thinking I can go pick it up tomorrow so I went to the MAC site and it’s not there…I’m confused.

Lilly Avatar

Holy crap!! I need those lustre drops even if I already have them!!. And the leg sprays!!

I was kinda hoping that they would have repromoted the cream bronzers from “To the Beach” ’cause I missed on them, but I deffinately am digging the sprays and the drops!
