LORAC Vivid Color Source Buildable Blush
LORAC Vivid Color Source Buildable Blush ($22.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a brighter, light-medum cotton candy pink with cooler undertones and a moderate shimmer. It’s hard to say that it’s a pearl finish, as it has more noticeable shimmer than that, but it’s not quite frosted either!
The Color Source Buildable Blush formula is supposed to offer–you guessed it–buildable color coverage with a “silky-smooth” consistency available in matte and satin finishes. This was the most pigmented of the three I tried–more medium coverage to opaque coverage, but the blendable, thinner texture was easy to apply less of or diffuse for sheerer color, if desired. The more shimmery finish on this one imparted a healthy glow to the skin that didn’t read as frosted or metallic, and it didn’t emphasize pores. The texture was a little drier and more powdery, but it didn’t seem to impede the application (I wouldn’t have really noticed it if I hadn’t swatched first). The color lasted for seven and a half hours on my skin when I tested it.

This really screams spring 🙂
true 😀
Very pretty, but a little too intense and shimmery for me, I think@
I totally understand! There are quite a few mattes in the line, I think, so maybe another one 🙂
It seems to be a very popular shade as there are loads of dupes, I have 2. I prefer a slightly warmer tone to this shade, like Tarte’s Dollface.
It seems to be the kind of shade brands usually have in their line-ups!
I have dupes, but I like the amount of pigment here !
Glad you have a color like this in your stash, Katherine!
Not quite as smooth as the others but nice.
It is nice!
Oh my, I think I love this one much more than my MAC Pink Swoon blush! This has such a lovely GLOW. Whereas Pink Swoon can look rather “fake” and flat on my NC37-40 skintone. (Although using Pearl Blossom in conjunction with it lessens the flat, almost ashy effect)
The shimmer in this one is nice! It’s soo hard for me to wear a totally matte blush.
It’s really pretty. I’m covered with dupes, though.
Phew 🙂
Being a bright color I like the idea of it being “buildable” so it’s easier to use on paler skin. It looks like a slightly warmer version of NARS Gaiety which I have and love, and is pretty much impossible to over apply (not to mention I have several blushes that are very similar), so this is a pass for me. It looks like a great shade for someone that doesn’t yet have any like it in their collection! 🙂
I like buildable blush formulas, too! I think medium coverage in one pass that is still blendable (or you can use a really light hand) so you can sheer it out while being more pigmented with a heavy hand or two layers is a great way to make something easier to use across the skin tone spectrum.
So pretty! I like the shimmer.
Me too!
Such a good color on you with the other products. Not sure if it’s a color for me but certainly willing to try as I really love the color.
Thank you, Susan!
