Christine, I think you accidentally posted the Metal shadow names under Matte and vice versa.

Also, this looks really interesting! Great option for someone who doesn’t want to shell out for the entire pro palette.

Kristina Avatar

Oooo, definitely need to pick up those Matte and Metal palettes! I have the original Pro palette & I absolutely love it! The only thing I’m a bit wary of is that the black in the Matte palette looks like a deep plum, and the black in the Metal actually looks black. But I guess I’ll just have to see them in person.

Also, I think you mixed up the shades listed for the Matte & Metal palettes, Christine. Lol.

MissJae1908 Avatar

I don’t own any of the Lorac Pro palettes, so this Matte palette should be perfect for me! The Pro metal compliments the pro matte beautifully. You could take this two palettes on vaca and be able to create every look that you could ever want!

Christina D. Avatar

Although they look repetitive, I will purchase the Metal and Matte Pro palettes as long as these are LORAC’s high-quality (a/k/a not made in China) products.

Alyssa Avatar

I think the company messed up with the release info, as the colors written for the matte palette are shown in the metal one. Very cool though that they’re splitting them up so in case you just want one half you don’t have to over pay (but on the contrary if you want both its the same price as a normal pro palette). I’ll have to hear review on the pencil before I get too excited. I love their liquid liner (far better than KVD trooper if you ask me) and wish they just expanded that line but maybe next time.

Jessica Avatar

These look wonderful!! Do you have a stock photo of the Romantic Eyes Palette? Also correct me if I am wrong but I think you have the metal shadows listed under the matte palette and vice versa. Love your blog!!

Interesting! The 1st palette has gorgeous fall colors but hope the shadows aren’t too soft in texture, interested in fiber mascara and I like their Front of the Line Liquid Liner, hope these pencil ones perform well, some interesting shades

Jaymi Avatar

I think you got the matte and metal palettes mixed up in the description. 🙂 I’m pretty psyched for the metal palette, the four shades in the center are awesome.

Christina Avatar

Hi Christine! I think you got the first two palette names mixed up. The image and description is of the metal palette, but the title is for the matte palette. 😉

By the photos, it looks as if Lorac reversed the color listings of the matte + metal palettes. Lorac’s formula, in general, is a winner. Each palette piques interest, but, as always, will wait for your opinions. Ulta seems to have a better relationship with Lorac than Sephora; more exclusives and the better offerings. Pencils look like twist-ups, but the copy reads ‘sharpener.’ The colors aren’t ‘inspired,’ but for a core collection would be rather standard. How I would love these to be ‘the right stuff’ for the waterline. All in all, looks pretty solid. Waiting patiently for your reviews, should you choose to do them.

I thought you had copied their promo copy. Another of your constant honesties, young lady! Nobody but the secure admit their mistakes. Most folks shift the blame. We love you.

Pigment called Royal Blue. You’d love it! 😀 If you can’t find it but are interested, I’m not opposed to sending a small amount for you to play with in a sanitary twist off capped container! Sharing is caring! And I care for my pigments. Nothing nasty in them! Oh No! 😀 Pigments & Armani ETKi & MJB Highliners.. LOVE! My inventory is swallowing me, though! Lol! 😀

Louisa Avatar

Lotus, I’d be interested in maybe buying a “tester” off you!! 🙂 I’m a studying MUA & I’m in Melbourne/Australia so it’s impossible to test almost any eyeshadow here! I don’t even have a Sephora here 🙁 Do you have any other pigments that you’re willing to share 😛 If you’re not interested though, it’s all good, just thought I’d ask!

Lotus Avatar

Hi Louisa! Please give me some time to check mailing expenses to Australia! If it’s not insane, I’d be happy to do it with whatever! I feel everyone should have a chance to experience everything that is no longer available! So absolutely! I just need to see what mailing is like and if they’d wreck them at customs or anything.. Any info you have is greatly appreciated! 😀 Cobalt is insane! 🙂 reminds me of Full Force Violet MAC pigment as well as others! Cobalt is one of favorite colors! 😀

Lotus Avatar

Hi again! Louisa, I learned that to ship such a lightweight package will not be worth the cost and time involved. But I’d like to add that there are many places in Australia with viable options! If you just google or even check YouTube, there are many brands there that we don’t have in the states. And they’re loaded with greatness! Color options galore! There should be a sephora somewhere.. They welcome you to swatch away! And if you call places to reach out about samples, I’m sure they’d be willing to help, even if for only a small fee. All hope is not lost! Just look harder! XOXO! 🙂 You’ll find it! 🙂

Ashleigh Avatar

Oh wow, these look great. Is it just me or are they creeping the prices up a notch? Lorac has been pretty affordable in the past but $28 for 8 eye shadows seems a bit much for them. They went from $2.63 per shadow in the pro palette to $3.50, that seems like not an insignificant jump.

Erica Avatar

Is the matte palette permanent?

Also I got verification from Lorac on Instagram that the Metal palette will be available June 14 on ulta.com 🙂
And I heard the matte palette will be released July 5th…I’m trying to confirm 🙂

Tami42 Avatar

I really wish the ‘burgundy’ shade in the matte palette was just a little more burgundy!? Maybe a little deeper in color, does anyone agree? It looks like a great all matte palette except for that, and we’ll have to see how black the ‘jet black’ is of course. I can’t wait to see your reviews!!!

Cat Avatar

Based on that photo of the PRO Matte Eyeshadow Palette, it seems that Lorac and I have a very different opinion about what “burgundy” looks like. It appears more like a dark peach in their photo. Some of the liners could be interesting, especially the aqua.

Rachel R. Avatar

I like the looks of the Pro Metal Palette and the eyeliners. I thought there was supposed to be a Romantic Eyes set coming out, as well.

Liz Avatar

Oh no, another amazing matte palette!? I was already convinced of getting the Kat Von D Shade & Light palette, but this seems like a nice, more simplistic one too. Decisions, decisions…!

Lotus Avatar

Will you be reviewing these or is this just a heads up? That metal one.. Ooohooohooo!! 😉 I like! I still have Lorac singles and they are just SO good.. I’m craving s little Lotac texture right now in those metals colors! 😛

brittany Avatar

Oh great…..the metal palette is an ultra exclusive. I live in canada and we don’t have ultra. Talk about leaving a great market out. Smh.

Chelsea Avatar

Thank you Jesus that the matte palette is permanent. I cannot control myself with matte browns. I really don’t do metallic or shimmer on the eyes, but the metallic palette is really pretty. Cobalt and Quartz alone might make me purchase this lol.

sarina Avatar

I don’t own any Lorac eye shadows. How do these differ to mac eye shadows in terms of colour and wear? I’m tempted by the pro palette and the metals palette as I have seen so many good reviews. Having said that the unzipped really appeals too for summer. What would you recommend as an entry in to the world of Lorac?
