Lisa Eldridge Dance Card Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, pinky-coral with moderate, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-sheer to medium pigmentation in one layer, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer.
The texture was lightly emollient, smooth, and very thin, which made it necessary to exfoliate prior to application or else the product caught around imperfections. There was a bit of product that settled into my lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It lasted well for two and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

The formula is supposed to have semi-sheer, somewhat buildable coverage with an "ultra modern, comfortable, and luxurious texture" that "feels smooth, light, and pleasurable on the lips." The pigmentation was semi-sheer and buildable, as described, with semi-opaque coverage achieved after two to three layers of product.
The lipstick had a smooth, waxier, balm-like feel, so it had a thinner consistency and glides on easily. The texture was prone to catching on any imperfections I had on my lips, and I had to ensure my lips were well-exfoliated prior to applying. The waxiness helped prevent some transfer onto glasses, too. It has a lightweight feel, is comfortable to wear, and was lightly hydrating over the four hours they lasted for. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Kitten Mischief
Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mischief Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, muted coral with warmer undertones and a satin finish. The lipstick had a lightweight, thin consistency with light slip, which helped it apply comfortably in a single pass.
It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly but settled a bit into my deeper lip lines. It was also less forgiving of imperfections, so you’ll absolutely need to exfoliate prior to wearing the formula (and if you have naturally dry/cracked/peeling lips, I’d avoid the formula). It stayed on nicely for two and a half hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

Lisa Eldridge Spirited Away Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with moderate, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-sheer to medium pigmentation, which was as marketed, that could be built up to more semi-opaque coverage with a second or third layer.
The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had light glide, so it applied comfortably across my lips. This formula is less forgiving of lip texture, especially dryness/flakes, and I had to exfoliate thoroughly immediately prior to wearing it to get a smooth application of product. It wore well for two and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

I was thinking that same thing to myself, but in her launch videos they look so different. I guess the color of ones natural lip color will ultimately determine how these color look. I ordered Rose Official and Painterly
Well, little wonder that I loved Kitten Mischief, I have BB Juicy Date!
Spirited Away is also my sort of shade. To my eye, it is a rosy terracotta. Which is something that works great with my coloring. But with a B- grade I’m just not sure it’s worth the money.
It looks like such a lovely finish on the lips but I no longer have the tolerance for lip products that cling to dryness.
This formula sounds a little bit like the Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks that were in the sheer formula. Semi sheer but buildable.
Not up to their usual standard here, very disappointing.
I must say I’m not impressed by these lipsticks, but then I’m not much for the sheerer formulations. I also don’t care for lipstick that enhance imperfections in any way, nor do I care for very short wear time, as I tend to get an even shorter one.
For me there were nothing interesting in this release. A pity, but money saved.
I actually really love the LE lipstick I bought (Dance Card). This was my first purchase from her, so I was a little nervous (they’re not cheap!), but I took the plunge and pre-ordered the lippie as well as a gloss and one of the blushes.
I love the semi-sheer look, especially for spring/summer, and found this actually made my lips look better, healthier and smoother overall. I didn’t exfoliate, and I didn’t find it settled into lines or enhanced texture, but I also didn’t try building up layers of color to make it more opaque- as a fair-skinned gal, I was happy with the lightweight texture and color I got from light application.
That being said, I can echo Christine’s comment about the longevity- it’s not a long-wearing lipstick by a long shot. It did, however, leave a really pretty flush/stain IMO, and it wore evenly as it did fade. If you already have similar products/colors in your kit, it may not be worth it to invest in these; the color was just something I desperately wanted, and I wanted to test the quality of LE’s line since I’d seen glowing reviews from YT videos about her products.
I was going to return this based on your review. But Tried it after checking out the swatches and formula review on Kinky Sweat(youtube). I am glad I tried it. This is really nourishing and I am going to buy more. i agree the colors are way too similar and there is very little color payoff. As a lipstick, this is close to being a fail. BUT, if you think of this as a lip treatment–it goes above and beyond. I am way past 40 and even though this settles in my fine lines(nothing horrid) it feels so soothing. I didn’t have any exfoliation issues. But everyone’s skin is different. I really recommend this if you’re looking to heal your lips. I got spirited away and it is a pink-brown-warm berry on me. Not too cool, not too warm. I also got painterly which looks nearly identical–except for a blue tone. Really wish I got atomic cherry instead. I bought the island glow blush, meh. It’s too hot pink/orange with the appearance of a black base to it. I wore this as a blush with nebula today and I swear it feels like it took five years off my face!
