Le Metier de Beaute Whisper Radiance Powder Rouge Review, Photos, Swatches
Le Metier de Beaute Whisper Radiance Powder Rouge
Le Metier de Beaute Whisper Radiance Powder Rouge ($30.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a soft, peachy-beige with a frosted sheen. It has definite warm undertones, and the finish isn’t subtle. Urban Decay Glint is lighter. bareMinerals The Love Affair is more beige. Bobbi Brown Rose Gold is pinker. See comparison swatches.
After swatching, I was quite worried that this was going to be frost-overload applied and make every single pore I had (and ones I didn’t even know I had) stand out like beacons in the night. I was completely wrong–the resulting finish was just right; glow-y without being too oily, a luminous sheen that wasn’t metallic. The texture was soft, buttery, finely-milled, and a little powdery (the surface of the pan was very soft, so if your brush is stiffer or “scratchy,” it can cause excess product to come loose). On the skin, it wore well for eight hours, and after just under nine hours of wear, I saw some light fading. If you have fairer skin, you may notice this adds warmth as well as sheen, but on more medium and darker complexions, it will be primarily sheen.

I guess because I’m so pale, I think of rouge as something with noticeable colour – whether pink, peach, plum, burgundy, etc. I’d never think of this as a “rouge” and was actually surprised, reading the heading of this post, that it was for blush because to me, this looks more like the Hourglass Ambient Light Powder.
‘Rouge’ is another term for blush. There are so many shades of blushes that aren’t typically colourful like Burberry earthy,MAC harmony, NARS miss liberty and Zen(to name a few) that still enhance the cheeks 🙂
I know that – that’s why I found it odd that this would be called “rouge” (also the French word for RED!) since it really isn’t like a rouge or blush at all but more like a highlighter or finishing powder. It just seems an odd way to categorize it.
I found it odd too don’t worry!
That looks gorgeous on you! It gives you a healthy without being glittery glow. Perfect.
This looks absolutely amazing!
Nice..i’d eventually like to check out their counter see
the products in person. LMDB is not
sold any where near me, our small Saks does not carry it.
what foundation are you wearing? You look stunning.
I can’t remember 🙁 This photo was shot maybe a month or two ago!
I can get so suckered in by products like these. I like that it appears far more subtle on than it does swatched and the peachy undertones are pretty too.
