Sleek Makeup Sunset i-Divine Palette (Quick) Review, Photos, Swatches
Sleek Makeup Sunset i-Divine Palette
Sleek Makeup Sunset i-Divine Palette ($12.99 for 0.36 oz.) consists of twelve eyeshadows that are supposed to be intensely pigmented and long-wearing. All twelve shades are, in fact, richly pigmented, wear well, blend beautifully, and are all-around fantastic eyeshadows. To get the same vibrancy as seen in the pan, no primer is needed; I had no trouble applying these to bare lids to get bright, true-to-pan color. Even better, they lasted well for a full eight hours. There was some faint signs of fading with some shades (as noted) after nine hours of wear but very little. The texture of these is very soft, dense, and buttery, and at times, they’re almost so soft that they can crumble, but once you’re using a makeup brush and a light hand, you’re unlikely to encounter any issues. The only thing I’d have loved to see were actual shade names (that desire had no impact on rating, though).
Sunset #1 is a medium-dark black with a satin finish–not quite matte but nowhere near as shimmery or as metallic as the other shades in the palette. It had good color payoff with a soft, smooth texture that wasn’t powdery or too soft. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #2 is a vibrant red with warm, orange undertones and a frosted, slightly metallic finish. The texture was soft, buttery, and smooth, and this shade had excellent pigmentation. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #3 is a warm, somewhat dulled, copper with brown undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. It was richly pigmented, and the texture was soft and dense, though it was just slightly powdery. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #4 is an intense and incredibly bright tangerine orange that leans yellow. It had intense color payoff and a buttery, dense consistency. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #5 is a medium yellow gold with a frosted, metallic finish. It had good pigmentation, and the texture was smooth but not quite as soft or as buttery as other shades. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #6 is a brightened, light-medium blue with cool undertones and a silvered shimmer and frosted finish. It had fairly good pigmentation, and it applied smoothly overall. It wasn’t as intensely pigmented as other shades in the palette. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #7 is a muted, dark burgundy-brown with warm, coppery undertones and a frosted sheen. It had excellent pigmentation and a really smooth, buttery consistency. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #8 is a muted, coppery-red with warm undertones and a frosted finish. This isn’t quite the same as the red in the palette–it is definitely browner/more orange and muted. It had good color payoff and applied smoothly. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #9 is a rich, rusty orange-brown with a golden shimmer-sheen finish. It had nice color payoff, and the texxture was soft, buttery, and smooth. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #10 is a lightened copper with gold sparkle and shimmer. It had a frosted, metallic finish, and it was more sparkly compared to the other shades. I noticed some slight fall out over time with this shade. The pigmentation was good, though. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #11 is a rose gold with a frosted, metallic sheen; it is warmer, less rose-tinted than it is orange. The texture was soft, smooth, and buttery, while the color payoff was great. See comparison swatches.
Sunset #12 is a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had really nice pigmentation, and the texture was easy to work with it as it was soft, smooth, and blendable. See comparison swatches.
P.S. — Technically, this palette is $9.99, but unfortunately, it can’t be purchased direct from Sleek Makeup due to U.S. shipping restrictions. However, there are a few reputable sellers on Amazon that have it available for $12.99 (plus $2.50 shipping). Some Sleek Makeup products are available for purchase directly from the brand but not all.

HOLY MOLY. These colours are gorgeous and so pigmented! The quality looks better than a lot of high-end makeup, which shows that drugstore makeup is often underrated because people can be such brand whores (pardon my French). Definitely need to invest in this.
wow…that’s a very vibrant palette…..awesome pigmentation and a budget friendly pt compared to high end brands:)
great review 🙂
wow super impressed with these shadows, gorgeous!
Loved the palette all the shades are so pretty and uberly pigmented .. Sleek definitely makes one of the best Eye Shadow Palettes .. 🙂 🙂
Hope Sleek comes to INDIA soon!!.
I have extra palette of this and other palette by Sleek for sale if anyone interested.
Where do you put up Sarah, i would like to connect with you regarding the same .. u can reach me out at beautyandmakeupmatters@gmail.com .. waiting for ur email 🙂
Hey Sarah let me know i could get it from you.. 🙂 🙂
Love this! I have the Sleek Acid palette, which is the least wearable thing ever, but this looks amazing.
wow! are you going to do more sleek makeup reveiws?
One of the benefits of living in the EU. 😀 I love Sleek. They’re cheap yet very high quality. P.S Christine, I’d love if you could review la Mer when you have a chance. (My hopes aren’t high, I know you are busy.)
La Mer? As in the skincare?
The La Mer brand has makeup products now 🙂 I heard the setting powder is great. i’d love to see your reviews of the brand’s makeup offerings!
I think they’ve always had a setting powder both loose and press (I remember trying some foundation/concealer/powder from them many years ago, but the shade was really off), but I don’t have anything from La Mer to review. Sorry!
I love how rich and pigmented that black eyeshadow is! MAC can learn a thing or two from Sleek. 😀
I was thinking the EXACT same thing!!
I really like the pinky shades. Your eye look is pretty. I wish we could have seen your whole face, because I imagine it really suited you.
I think that day I probably did three or four looks per eye (for various photos). I usually do multiple eye looks, snap photos, and then I keep one on, then recreate later on for actual testing. 🙂
Ooh, this is interesting to know 😀
This is a beautiful palette! I’ve been wanting this, but needed some good swatches, so thanks for posting them! That blue is a little of out place, and I’m not a fan of light blue eyeshadows, but for $13, it’s so worth it. Have you tried the Blush by 3 by Sleek? They all look so pigmented, perfect for my skin tone.
I agree – the blue is odd among an otherwise very warm-toned palette. I haven’t tried it!
Its a sunset! Blue skies 🙂
WOW, I recently found out that we had sleek in my country and this is getting me excited. Number 11 is so pretty. Will you be doing more sleek reviews?
BTW your eyes are beautifully complex! They look like snake skin.
Thank you, Cel! 🙂
So glad you did a review on this palette, Christine! I love the Sunset palette! Funny though – I was able to order it last year from Sleek (??), it was only the matte and acid palettes that were restricted. But some of my viewers said that they’ve been able to add those to their cart and purchase them as well…interesting!
I will say that I was able to add Sunset to the cart, check out through a few steps until it said payment… I wasn’t going to attempt that portion, lol! My fear would be they’d cancel?
TBH, I’d buy through Amazon since it’s not much more (think it works out to be $1-2) and probably would get here a week faster — and would be easier to deal with if anything went wrong since they’re in the same country (as well as it’s Amazon, lol).
Amazon in Canada has this palette for $43.99!! Just a bit of a mark-up, no??
You can have it shipped from Sleek, yeah? I think it’s just the U.S. that has some of the dye restrictions that’s probably keeping some from here.
Omigosh! I’ve loved sleek for years, happy to see you like it! I have most of their palettes, some of the shades do come with names, on a thin plastic sheet.
YAY!!!! You’re reviewing Sleek! LOVE IT!
Hey Christine, would you mind posting a link to Amazon where they sell this palette. I have a hard time finding it.
Hi Agata,
It’s linked in the post as well as when you click “Where to Buy!”
OMG LOVE these colors and I just bought from Amazon ~ still an amazing price considering all selection of colors in one palette!! Thanks for the review and keep up the amazing work!!
Really only maybe $2-3 more than if you paid Sleek – when I tried, it was $9.99 + $3.10 for shipping, and you should get it faster since it’s within the U.S., not coming from the UK. Plus Amazon = great CS in case you have any issues!
Those colors have awesome pigmentation! Love the look you created, Christine!
SUEPR GORGEOUS.
I love Sleek Palettes since they’re so cheap and of great quality but the colours are so vibrant, I don’t really know what to do with them!
I have it and I LOVE it 🙂 One of my favorite Sleek palettes.
Pretty look you did with this! i have of their 5 palettes and i love them
All I see are tiny colorful Eggo Waffles! Heheh 🙂
This is an awesome palette! The color of #4 is to die for!! So glad it’s permanent so I can add it to my “someday” list :>
Just curious, will you be reviewing Sigma’s Crème de Couture collection Christine? I’ve been seeing a lot of reviews on it, but I keep hoping you will be reviewing it too!
Sorry, I don’t review Sigma products!
Tehehe, this may be the reason I have never been interested in their products.
Just curious, any particular reason why you don’t review Sigma products Christine? 😀
We had a difference of opinion after my original reviews of their brushes came out, and since then, I haven’t felt any need to support the brand.
Does anyone have any amazon sellers they would recommend to get this palette from?
Hey Cat!
The one I linked to above and in the Where to Buy area had over 1,000 positive reviews when I checked!
Thanks Christine!
OMG I need this in my life! I have seen so many You Tube Gurus using Sleek products, like Pixiwoo. I sincerely hope they are available in USA too.
For $13, this is amazing! But the picture on your amazon link is completely different to your pictures, do you know why that is? I want to get this but I’m afraid of accidentally getting the wrong one.
If you went through their photos for other Sleek palettes, they’re all off (looks like it was saved with the wrong color profile, so it over-saturated all the colors) – but you can tell that it’s mostly warm and has a blue and pink on the end, so I’d say it’s the right one. You might be able to email the seller to verify, though.
Where can you buy Sleek Makeup in the USA?
Only online as far as I know!
from their website or rm cosmetics on amazon!
Oh my gooooosh. This is stunning.
OHHH WEEEE. I think Sleek’s chemist need to meet with MAC’s chemist and give them a lesson or two
I thought about purchasing this palette a long time ago, now I feel tempted again…
A warm toned pallette full of colours I don’t have dupes for gets an A, AND it also happens to be super cheap?
Definetly getting this. Anypne have any idea if it’ll be in (or already is) available in Superdrug in the UK?
I’m not familiar with UK stores or retailers and I am assuming Superdrug has a store front, but they are sold via their website at the very least! http://www.superdrug.com/sleek/sleek-makeup-divine-12-piece-shadow-collection/invt/412317
Yes, it’s one of their permanent palettes! <3 I've had it for a while. You'll need to go to a city-based superdrug, generally, I think, to get the brand. They didn't sell Sleek in the large Bangor, Gwynedd store, but they did in the tiny Preston one because IDK they're backwards?
Sleek can be a bit harder to track down because the stores chosen to stock it can seem a bit randomly placed so if you are travelling a bit to find it, phone the shop first. I work in a ‘Prestige Beauty’ store but we don’t have it but the next town with a smaller selection of make up does stock it. I think each store is assessed to see the best brands for the store as we had to debate with head office which stands to keep during a re-fit. Some smaller shops do have it but if you go to a store with a huge make up section (my closest ones would be Brighton Churchill Square or Kingston) then it should be there.
Hiya, Sunset palette is in the permanent range so any Superdrug with a sleek stand will have it provided its in stock. It’s an older palette so it’s been around for 1 year+.
The colors are all so gorgeous, and I had to double-take on the price!! $12.99?? WHAT?!! That’s kind of amazing!
I’ve been thinking about getting this palette for such a long time, the colours are all pretty. But I have cool undertones, so this would propbably make me look sickly. Ordered the Vintage Romance palette instead – those are all my colors.
I have cool undertones too, but have found that I can really make this work for me. I’ve found that I can wear warmer eyeshadows, so long as I use black liner, and a neutral blush and lip shade to balance it out 🙂
This is an absolutely gorgeous palette. It kind of reminds me of Sephora’s Jasmine palette that I missed.
Love Sleek! Great blushes too!
the sleek shadows i’ve bought have had a plastic piece on top of the shadows in the palette with the names on it! so they usually have names, it would’ve been pretty convenient if they had the names on the back though!
Interesting! I didn’t see any names on mine 🙁
the newer palettes have names now! the one you picked up didn’t have names
Thanks 🙂
I’ve had my eye on Sleek products for a while, but hesitated to purchase b/c of the complaints about their customer svc and shipping times. But you’ve now given me the courage to buy, especially since they’re being offered via Amazon (don’t know why I never think to check there…). Thanks so much for posting!
Sleek is so intriguing – I just wish it was paraben free! It’s rare to find parabens in powder based formulas but it’s an issue in all of their eyeshadows. I know I’m probably being nuts but I do try to avoid them in anything I’m going to be wearing on a regular basis.
🙁
Finally I see a Sleek palette reviewed)))) I have a Lagoon palette and it was my fav in summer. Their blushes also are fantastic!
I love Sleek palettes! I’ve just picked up the Vintage Romance palette, which I can’t wait to play with. The only thing I feel that the Sunset palette is lacking is a decent highlight colour. I find that MAC’s Nylon works well with this though.
Christine please, more Sleek makeup reviews!! 😀
I remember I saw on Snobka (Polish fashion website) about a look they replicated from Gucci’s runway using this palette. I have searched high and low for this palette! Thanks Christine for the review and link to buy. And wow, they really do look awesome. This looks like my kind of palette.
AND NO PRIMER NECESSARY? Winning! 🙂
Thanks for reminding me that I have this. I forgot how awesome it was. I’ll have to get it brought over when the parents visit, haha.
Wow! This is a stunning look Christine, love it!! I have promptly ordered my palette on the back of your review and can’t wait to receive it and have a play! I was wondering what lip colour you would pair with this?
I’d do maybe a golden beige or a beige lipstick with a little coral gloss on top – so it would be warmer than beige but not a true coral.
I just got mine in the mail today! I was actually able to order this from their website despite living in the US..weird! I would agree with your review 100%, they’re amazing and just as good as many of my high end palettes.
Going to London in November, I will definitely check out their products at that time.
This can’t be bought direct from Sleek? :/ I really hate the shipping restrictions! That aside, that orange is gorgeous and I really dislike orange. Hopefully I can find the Acid palette (also restricted!) on Amazon.
Sleek is awesome! I do wish that they would get rid of that diamond pattern in their shadows. Cheapens the look!
The new ones don’t have it.
Sleek Cosmetics are not available in Australia but I have 22 of their eyeshadow palettes, 13 Sleek blushes and an assortment of their other cosmetics.
I can categorically say that I adore every Sleek Cosmetics product I own. I have found that I have to be quick if I want to grab any of their limited edition items as they sell out very quickly.
I have bought about 50% of my Sleek items from their website and the rest I have purchased from one particular eBay seller in the UK who is outstanding.
🙁 i don’t need it. i don’t need it. I NEED IT. LOL. SPONGEBOB.
Ahhh, LOVE Sleek makeup – I have 4 i-divine palettes already and another one on order.
The blushes are great too!
These are absolutely not my colors (SO WARM), but it’s nice to see such a quality palette at an affordable price. 🙂 Shame we don’t have Sleek in the States.
I just ordered a boatload of products from sleek a couple of months ago, eyeshadow palettes, blushes, lipsticks and I loved everything. Shipping wasn’t that bad and it arrived in 7 days, I just made sure I had a large order to justify the shipping price. I’ve already planned my next order.
Nice palette. Can’t wait to pick one up. It’s affordable too.
Ooh I need this! I have about 6 Sleek iDivine palettes (and have just ordered the new Romance palette) The Sunset palette is gorgeous. I’m a big fan of Sleek – such great quality for the price. Their lipsticks are excellent too…and the contour kits….and the blushes….
These colours are so beautiful, particularly #4 and #2. But I hate the pattern they’ve pressed into them, I want all the wafer patterns to be in the same direction.
Gorgeous. I love the Sleek palette I own. There were a couple I wanted but they couldn’t be shipped here due to some FDA restrictions or something along those lines (the red dye thing I believe)
Very pretty! Would like to order it,but the Amazon link photo looks totally different than this. It has a lot of purples in it, not the same palette as above.
Hey Denise,
You might want to check with the seller, because all of their photos are very over-saturated and look like they were saved with a different color profile/setting than what it was originally in, which is why they look off.
Gorgeous eye look, Christine!
Does anyone know where Sleek manufactures their cosmetics? (Made in which country?)
Hi Maggie,
The back of the palette (pictured above) says the palette is made in China.
WOW! These Sleek sets are always so awesome! I see some of the most AMAZING looks done with them, it drives me NUTS that we have to order them from overseas, and some aren’t even allowed in the US! (the neon one? Although people can get them, from eBay, but I mean, I would like to just be able to get it at a store! Like Sephora or Ulta!) I see your page links to Amazon, which is cool, but I worry about the shipping involved too. These are so cool, I just want to play with them in person!
beautiful eye makeup.. just loved it
Thank you, Shikha!
I love this palette (and for once, Australia doesn’t suck on the shipping. I bought my sleek stuff from their website and shipping was really, really cheap). If you’ve got time Christine, I think you’d enjoy testing the blush by 3s because they’re amazing (and amazing value for money without stinting on quality either)
These colours look so lovely on you! I wish they did on me… I bought this pallette just because it’s so pretty, but I’m very pale and can’t get them to work(
Have you tried maybe wearing just one or two and mixing with something more matte?
Lovely eye makeup!! It reminds me of sunset! Beautifully done. 🙂
ah so glad you got your hand on some sleek! i live in england so we have it all here and really needs to go global everything they do is amazing and cheap! have almost all the palettes and all so pigmented. was happy to see this review and that you liked them haha
That’s… that’s a fantastic palette. Colour me impressed (pun intended, ha!).
my jaw literally dropped when i saw #4!!! what a gorgeous palette and the look you put together is beautiful! how could i pass this up?!
OMO! These colors are beautiful and the pigmentation from the swatches are to die for. Sadly…I’m on a only need buy, not a only want buy mode.
I really wish their products were more readily available in the US. I mean, they have expanded much but I guess some of our own regulations must hinder a lot of the products from being sold here.
I live in the UK, where sleek make up can be easily found in drugstores (i.e superdrug) so im really glad to see this pallette! they have several other ones that i’ve always refrained from buying simply because i feel like they’re all very dupable (especially if you have the NAKED palettes and many MAC eyeshadows, like me), but this looks very new and fresh so i think i can talk myself into buying it. Plus, the price point really, really helps:P
Glad you’ll be able to find this in stores easily, Sabrina! Let me know if you end up trying it!
I really love Sleek makeup! I was hoping that I could purchase the palettes from eBay and Amazon with no issue due to the restrictions from Sleek. I’m so happy that I can! I’ll be ordering the sunset and acid palettes like immediately lol
YAY!
Just to update. . .I live in the US and went to the Sleek website and attempted to order a blush and the Sunset palette. Apparently, it worked because the order went through all of the stages from processing to shipping, and it currently looks to be on the way! I believe ordering from them is probably cheaper than Amazon, as the shipping was only around $4.40, but I’m not sure if that’s because I ordered more than one item.
Yay! 🙂
I know it’s $12.99 + $2.50 for Amazon. I heard some readers had bad experiences with Sleek’s customer service, so since the difference wasn’t too bad, I went with Amazon. I ordered a palette + blush and it was $3.50 shipping for me.
Oh, man, customer service issues? I hope I get my order, lol–I will update if/when I do, but I should! Looks to be promising! *fingers crossed*!
Other readers have had no problems, though! 🙂
So hopefully that’s you!!
UPDATE: Received my Sleek I-Divine Sunset palette in the mail today! Took approximately 17 days, as I ordered October 12. Seems like they fill US orders in spite of the restrictions the website conveys! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Yay!!
as of 11/29/2013 I was able to buy this directly from sleek’s website with no issue. I’m in California. 🙂
