Le Metier de Beaute Paris Colour Core Moisture Stain Lipstick

Le Metier de Beaute Paris Colour Core Moisture Stain Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is an opaque magenta-fuchsia with a cream finish. It has the barest of a sheen, which does wear away after a couple of hours and results in a more matte finish. MAC Zen Rose is similar, glossier. Shiseido Fuchsia RS 320 is comparable, slightly purpler. MAC Pink Pigeon is brighter, pinker. MAC Love Forever is purpler. MAC Something New is pinker. NARS Schiap is pinker, slightly brighter.

The Colour Core Moisture Stain is designed to be both a lip stain and lipstick with full color coverage and a moisturizing formula. It’s also supposed to be long-wearing without bleeding or feathering. The texture is soft, barely creamy, but somehow still manages to glide across lips easily and deposits opaque color with little product.  Paris wore for six and a half hours, and there was a residual stain that lingered noticeably for another hour after that. My lips felt hydrated both during and after wear.

I also want to note something I’ve found common with these lipsticks: more often than not, the tip of the lipstick is slightly smooshed upon arrival. It might be an overfilling problem that occurs during manufacturing, but it’s not just one but more like every other one where this problem occurs.

I think you may have made a mistake with the price and amount, Christine! I don’t foresee Le Metier de Beaute being $10, and .5 oz would be one brick of a lipstick, lol!

But that really is such a pretty pink. I have tons of corals, so now I’m trying to find a really nice bright pink for summer to break my coral routine. I might have to check this out.

You might want to fix the price in the body of the post – it says $10, and I got pretty excited (I’m not super familiar with the brand, and i was about to run out and find this if it really was 10 for such an amazing lipstick!).

Even at the real price, I’m tempted! Perfect color, and I love a moisturizing lip color!

You MUST use this lighting exclusively– it flatters your face and complexion so nicely and I get a more accurate depiction of how the shades look!!!

What a gorgeous shade! Reminded of Shiseido Fuchsia which you’d reviewed a while back though I’d prefer this as its a tad pinker!

There was a beauty blog post i came across a while ago that mentioned le metier’s lack of quality control. The blogger’d received a product that had a thumb print on it eyeshadow or something. It was pretty gross tbh.

You look terrific in bright shades Christine.  Doesn’t seem to matter if they’re cool or warm toned either.  Bold, bright lips suit you!

Can I just say you look gorgeous in this picture. I read your post everyday and I have never written or commented but this picture of you is just beautiful. you should wear bright colors more often. It truwly suits you
