Shiseido Fuchsia RS 320 Perfect Rouge Lipstick

Shiseido Fuchsia RS 320 Perfect Rouge Lipstick ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a magenta fuchsia with a creamy finish and a natural sheen. The way this shade differs from your more typical fuchsia is that there’s magenta mixed in, so it has more blue in it, enough that it starts looking a little purple-like. It’s still more pink than it is purple, which is kind of how I think of magenta! MAC Zen Rose is a bit darker and pinker. MAC Candy Yum Yum is pinker and more vibrant. MAC Pink Pigeon is pinker and a little more vibrant. MAC Love Forever is a touch lighter. NYX Pink Lyric is pinker. NARS Schiap is more fuchsia, less magenta. MAC Petals & Peacocks is a touch lighter. MAC Gladiola is also a bit lighter.

I don’t hear a lot of love for Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge formula, but it’s always a joy to wear one. It’s unscented, and there is no discernible taste. The formula keeps lips feeling soft and moisturized while you wear it, and the hydration extends for a few more hours after most of it has worn away. When I tested this particular shade for wear, it was there for the long haul–six and a half hours. The consistency is soft, creamy, and glides on easily and evenly while delivering opaque color coverage in nearly one stroke. It has some slip, but it doesn’t feel heavy, so it doesn’t bunch up on itself or slide around. As a nice bonus, it’s one of the larger-sized lipsticks on the market (most are 0.10 oz. or 0.12 oz., with the occasional formula at 0.14 oz.).

Gorgeous color! I agree with you, Christine, that Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge line deserves more love – I have such dry lips but this formula goes on smoothly and wears comfortably. Shiseido really is an underrated brand, at least here in the U.S.

It is a pity Shiseido is not that popular in the US and in some European countries for the brand is awesome! Its packaging is always reserved and simple, but the quality is gorgeous. I personnaly fall for their lipsticks and blushers.
The subj lipstick is so pretty! 🙂

IKR. This is why I usually avoid drugstore makeup, too many brands test on animals, including drugstore skincare. These brands include, Maybeline, Loreal, Sally hansen, Rimmel London, Covergirl, New York Color, and the list goes on. As for skin care Olay, Roc, Neutorgena,Clean n’ Clear, and Aveeno, are guilty of animal testing. The good news, NYX is 100% cruelty free, and Michelle Phan wrote on twitter a couple of years back that Lancome no longer tests on animals in Western countries, *Heck it’s banned in the EU* but they only have to do it where it’s required by law such as China. It’s sad but true all makeup being sold in China has to be tested on animals. But you can’t blame them since there were so many outbreaks of tainted food. *Remember what happened Halloween of 2008?*

i have the red one-it’s called dragon- and i love how moisturizing it is on the lips and the pigmentation is amazing!but it did bleed on me like no other!i don’t put the blame on the product though as every lipstick bleeds on me if i dont blot-powder and reapply:(

What a beautiful color! I know it wouldn’t look good on my skin, but it’s still fantastic. I really like Shi’s lipstick formula.

A Shiseido lady at Macys got me to buy one and I love it! Its not this shade, is another one, but the formula is fantastic and I just love it! It was my first high end lipstick and I am not disappointed! I will get another one! And I also love this shade!

I found and fell in love with this shade, Fuchsia/RS320, months ago. It’s a beautiful shade and looks fabulous against my mocha complexion. I really love Shiseido PR lipsticks. They are more expensive ($30cdn), but the quality is wonderful: great pigmentation, great wear, no scent, no taste.

I have this color, it pulls purple on me or rather it looks the same way it does on you as it does with me (which makes online shopping for lipsticks so much easier for me thanks Christine lol). I have to agree, Shiseido lipsticks are amazing. When my lips were peeling like crazy a while back, I couldn’t touch my MACs and Guerlains because they burned my lips. My Shiseidos were the only ones I could wear – and I only had 3, this RS 320 included 🙂

OOOH. This was my most FAVORITE lipstick ever, until my then 7 year old discovered it and twisted it up, THEN put the cap on, realized what he’d done and tried to “wash” it. sigh
