Laura Geller Pixie Pearl Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Review, Photos, Swatches
Pixie Pearl
Laura Geller Pixie Pearl Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator ($36.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a very light pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. The powder had a smooth, almost cream-like consistency as it was denser but not stiff or firmly pressed in the pan. It had semi-opaque color payoff that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer if desired (though the brand describes as sheer). I had no trouble blending out the powder on my cheek bones, and the highlighter illuminated without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. The powder stayed on well for nine hours on me.
Apparently, this was a one-day only product (though it appeared in one of their past palettes), but hopefully, the dupes are helpful or the brand eventually releases it into the permanent range.

Formula Overview
$36.00/0.35 oz. - $102.86 Per Ounce
The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator formula is supposed to give a ātranslucent wash of luminous colorā that can be used all-over or as a highlighter with a powder-cream hybrid texture. The consistency was denser but smooth and had no powderiness in the pan. The powder applied well to bare skin, blended out easily, and sat well on my skin. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.
The biggest ādownsideā to the formula is that theyāre really more pigmented than described. I think theyāre easy to use as a semi-sheer product with a lighter hand, but without adjusting one's tool or technique, they tended to apply at more semi-opaque to opaque coverage. To me, the formula would be better described as having medium, buildable coverage.

This is .36 oz, not .16 oz. It is much bigger than the usual size. On IG, Laura Geller said it would come back in June.
Hey Sue!
Sorry about that – it’s a one-off size and so it automated the price/oz based on the regular line. Dummy over here for not remembering to manually change it!
This is simply stunning! Too bad it was just a one day deal, though. What startled me was that when I went to the Dupe List, it turns out I have a ton of the dupes on my WL already! So then, MUR Liquid Starlight will be the one.
I am not going to pick this up because I have MANY dupes, but I just wanted to say your makeup in that shot is so, so lovely and everything I want for spring. I was trying hard to resist the Tryst palette but you are selling it in that picture, lol!
It’s a really pretty shade and not overly glittery or shimmery, as far as I can tell. A really good product.
It looks like something Iād like to eat..love the name!
I have several of the listed “dupes”, and most likely several similar shades not listed, but after recently picking up Diamond Dust & Charming Pink, I’ve come to really love this formula. Hopefully it comes back!
This looks so, so pretty. I have seen other highlighter/illuminators from Laura Geller that have made it to my wishlist, it seems like these are a great product xoxo
I just love the look of these highlighters in the pan! The ones I’ve swatched from Laura Geller are always so pretty, and this is no different!
