Lancome Coquette (326) L’Absolu Rouge Hydrating Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium, rosy pink with moderate, warm undertones and fine gold and pink pearl that gave it a more metallic finish. The texture was lightweight, slightly thin but not clingy, and had just enough creaminess to glide across my lips without tugging, but it didn’t slide around during wear. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that wore nicely for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

The formula is supposed to be "hydrating" with "eight-hour" wear that is available in three finishes (sheer, cream, and matte). The cream and matte shades finishes highly pigmented, while the sheer finish is more medium, buildable in coverage.
The texture of the cream finish was lightly creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick, so they applied comfortably, evenly, and were flattering on lips. The matte finish was slightly thicker and "heavier" in comparison, though still lightweight to wear, and it had more of a satin finish initially that wore down to matte after an hour or two. The sheer finish was more emollient and had a shinier finish with translucency but wasn't so sheer that all the shades would look the same on.
The majority of shades did not last eight hours on me, though the wear was more between four and six hours with most mid-depth and deeper shades lasting five to six hours and the lighter shades and sheer finish shades lasting closer to four hours. The formula was hydrating across all three finishes.
There was a noticeable, powdery floral scent that translated slightly into a taste at times. It was a stronger scented product where I smelled it for a few hours into the wear, not just in the tube or when initially applied.

It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single stroke, which adhered evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize lip texture.
It had a smooth, lightweight texture that was thinner with light tackiness, which helped keep it in place while still being comfortable to apply and to wear. This shade lasted well for five hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

It had nearly opaque color payoff in one layer paired with a smooth, almost velvety consistency that was denser and slightly thicker compared to the Cream and Sheer finish shades.
The color applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines, but it didn’t slide around during wear so feathering wasn’t an issue. It stayed on well for six hours and was lightly moisturizing over time.

Berry Noir and Exotic Orchid look lovely, especially for our cooler temps in November! Of the two, I would probably go for Berry Noir.
Love this eyeshadow look on you! Too bad the prettiest lip color of these performed the worst.
I think my daughter in law would love these shades – and I did like the first one for a subtle lip look.
From what I understand it’s the longevity that made Coquette get a C+. As I have to reapply lipsticks quite frequently it’s not a problem and I love the colour. It’s on my WL along with Exotic Orchid. I have good dupes for Berry Noir, it’s a type of colour I love.
