Jouer Skinny Dip/Rose Gold/Ice Powder Highlighter Trio Review, Photos, Swatches
Skinny Dip/Rose Gold/Ice
Jouer Skinny Dip/Rose Gold/Ice Powder Highlighter Trio ($39.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes three, miniature-sized powder highlighters. The set will be ideal for someone who is more focused on having a greater variety of shades for their money than physical product, as the set was actually weak on value. The powders were nice and easy to use with a shiny, metallic finish that puts the formula in the strong highlighter category–they are not for anyone wanting subtle!–and fairly consistent with their full-sized versions.
Value
A full-sized highlighter retails for $24.00 and contains 0.16 oz. or costs $150.00 oz. The set contains $31.50 worth of product.

Skinny Dip
Skinny Dip is a medium copper with warm, golden shimmer and a metallic sheen. It was richly pigmented with a high-shine finish that just slightly emphasize my skin’s natural texture when worn at full coverage. The powder was smooth to the touch without being powdery, but it was still very blendable on the skin. It wore well for eight hours on me.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.16 oz. - $150.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "long-wearing, highly pigmented" and have a "radiant finish." They are semi-opaque to opaque typically with a denser, creamier consistency that doesn't have any powderiness or dustiness to it. The powders apply well to bare skin, blended out easily, and tend to have a stronger, metallic sheen--definitely a more intense highlighter. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

Rose Gold
Rose Gold is a peachy pink with warm undertones and a golden sheen. It was a bit drier compared to the full-sized version I had, though it applied easily and blended out without issue. The color stayed on well for eight hours before fading slightly.

Ice
Ice is a cooler, grayish white base with warmer, pale gold shimmer. It had good color payoff in a single layer with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that wasn’t too powdery nor was it too firmly pressed in the pan, so it easy to pickup product, blend it out, and adjust technique to get more or less coverage as desired. It had a shiny finish on the skin but did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight hours on me.

Yeah, I considered these during the 30% off Beauty Bay sale but it did not list anywhere (that I could find) the actual weight or volume of product. And you had to squint to find the “mini” descriptor. So they’re over $64 Australian dollars for 6g total of product… yeah, nah.
Very pretty highlighters but I have so many now I don’t know how I will ever make a dent in any of them.
I was considering getting both of these kits off of Jouer site during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday but it wasn’t included in the sale. 😛 But out of the shades in these kits, Ice and Citrine are the two shades I could probably use for my pale skin.
Ice I wasn’t expecting the lavender undertone too which is cool.
I just got rose gold this week and on my skin it reflects straight up gold, no rose. It’s a dsrker gold too and I’m not sure I can pull it off. I wish it looked like it does on you Christine!
