Jouer Frost Bite & Rose Gold Long Wear Lip Toppers Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Frost Bite
Jouer Frost Bite Lip Topper ($16.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a clear base with silver, gold, and violet particles of shimmer and sparkle. It had sheer coverage, which was as described, that applied evenly across the lips. There was a nice amount of shimmer all over the lips, and it had a strong, mirror-like shine. The consistency was lightweight, smooth without being gritty, and felt like a cross between balm and gloss. The color wore well for three hours on its own but was hydrating over time. The formula has a sweet, sugary scent.

Rose Gold
Jouer Rose Gold Lip Topper ($16.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a muted, golden copper base with flecks of pink, gold, and copper sparkle. The texture felt slightly grittier due to the larger sparkles in it, though the base itself was more emollient and a little oily initially. The sparkly bits spread well across the lips for even distribution. It wore well for three hours and was hydrating over time.

Hi Christine, would you be able to try lip toppers with another lip colour underneath them for your reviews in the future? I think it’d be really helpful to see how well they work as a literal ‘topper’ for other lip products! Even just a pic for comparison would be cool, especially since you’ve got heaps of other stuff to review.
Thanks 🙂
Hey Vivian,
Since they can be worn alone, I present them alone, but like any sheer product, you can definitely layer – I don’t have the capacity to really add on more lip swatches like that on a regular basis since I’m perpetually behind on swatching lip products. I did show a Lip Topper over another lip product in my first review of the formula 🙂
Those lip toppers look pretty! I just got my first Jouer lip toppers yesterday and thought they seemed unique and fun to wear =) Those sparkles are something else and I love the sweet scent.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying them, Lex! Which one is your favorite that you got?
thank you Christine! I really like Skinny Dip! I’m shocked that they aren’t sticky, either haha
Yayy!!
I swear to heaven these are the exact same product as the Kiko Milano lip toppers, but Kiko costs only 8 or 9 bucks. Why not just get the Kiko?
Everyone has their own preferences — that’s why you can buy a blue-based, matte red lipstick from any number of brands! Makeup is not a purely utilitarian industry.
Rose Gold is pretty!
It is!
Frost Bite looks right up my alley! Something about icy looking toppers for summer…. even over just mlbb lip-lined barer lips, for me!
Would be very pretty over a liner!
As a lip topper these shades are lovely, not quite sure about the gritty factor though.
They aren’t scratchy on, so they are pretty comfy, even if I can feel some of the sparkles at times!
I have both of these and love wearing them over my liquid lipsticks.I find them moisturizing and they enhance the lip sticks hue. They wear a long time on me.
I’m happy to hear it, Denise! Which one is your absolute fave?
I keep Skinny Dip in my purse because it goes with everything
These are both very pretty. I rarely use liptoppers over lipsticks as I tend to eat lip products and reapplying two products isn’t difficult but I just don’t care to. I use toppers on their own, like any lipgloss and that is how I use Frost Bite.
I just realised I own it, I’ve just temporarely misplaced it. I wonder if this means I actually have too many makeup products?!?!?! 🙂
I hope you can find Frost Bite soon, Helene!
You know what’s funny — I’ll actually use glosses and products like these to touch-up vs. reapplying the original lipstick!
That is something I must try.
With the exception of Bite Opal, I’m pretty much over lip toppers.
