If you had $100 to spend on beauty products right now, what would you buy?

It might be a Ted Baker makeup bag, because I love the aesthetic but cannot justify yet another makeup bag at that price point!

I’d order the Morphe 12NB palette ($15), the 9C palette ($23), and a few brushes (let’s say $30 for an assortment). With $32 left–not including shipping here!–I’d get BECCA blush in Wild Honey ($32). $100 exactly with plenty of product to play with! In fact, this is almost exactly what I’m ordering next week when I get paid. Lol

Laura Avatar

I bought that blush (along with several other goodies) from Dermstore during one of their periodic site wide % off sales. Becca and a few other cosmetic lines are generally not excluded from the promo. That plus free shipping made me a very happy girl!

Maggie Avatar

I might drop that much on a few lipsticks (currently looking for a hydrating everyday lipstick formula). The one’s I hauled during VIB sale sadly didn’t work for me. Going to try Shiseido Perfect Rouge next and maybe another formula next.

Give the Rimmel ones a try (Moisture Renew or something like that). My lips are dry as a desert in winter, and I was on the hunt for something with lots of moisturizer, opaque color, and relatively long lasting. Tried many high end brands and bought the Rimmel one on a whim while browsing in Ulta – I’m going back for a few more. They are about $6 each

Momo Avatar

Haha! $100? Let me bust out my makeup calculator!
I’m assuming shipping cost is excluded?

• Artist Couture Blush/Highlight in X-RATED = $24.99 ➢ $$75.01 remaining
• MAC Prep and Prime Fix Plus in LAVENDER (if it were in stock) = $22.00 ➢ $53.01 remaining
• Morphe Brushes M500 Deluxe Pointed Blender = $12.99 ➢ $40.02 remaining
• black|Up Sublime Powder in NPS 03 Medium = $37.50 ➢ $2.52 remaining

I don’t know what else I can get for $2.52. Maybe another brush from Morphe? But those four items would be suffice.

The Tarte Contour kit & one of the Besame brushes but if i use my Sephora gift card and have enough money I would also get a KVD liquid lipstick.

LMAO!! I actually did exactly that! I will be receiving Wayne Goss’s Holiday Brush today… and I can’t wait!! (Only problem is, in November he came out with his Anniversary collection and of course, I just HAD to get it! It appears that I owe the $100 Fairy some (OK, A LOT) of money ? back! LOL!

Tracey E. Avatar

Hi Donna, I couldn’t resist buying Wayne Goss’ Anniversary Collection when I saw Brush 1. (At the time, I was considering a Tom Ford cheek brush and waiting to no avail for Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Complexion brush). I also bought the former holiday brush/Brush 00 when it became permanent and I did buy the new, gorgeous 2015 Holiday/Finishing Brush. I am just tickled to have these brushes plus 2 from the his face set. I decided it was time to invest in higher-end brushes this year.

Jane Iredale! In the Blink of a Smoky Eye shadow palette, Lip Fixation in Passion, and Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain in Forever Red. (Can you tell I’m thinking of a shopping trip soon???)

Mariella Avatar

I am honestly so totally maxed out on makeup that there is nothing that comes to mind as something I’m really itching to own. It would probably have to be something low on my list – a YSL eyeshadow palette or that new Dior one that looks so nice but isn’t so good….or else, I’d just stock up on the UD and BITE lipsticks I use a lot!

Megz Avatar

Totally unfun stuff, really. Organizing items, freshen up my stock of bases, concealers, powders, primers, mascara etc. Well, I might splurge on a couple NYX wicked lippies, but thats it!

Haley Avatar

While visiting my friend and her baby in Colorado I lost my life source. A makeup bag filled with $350-$450 worth of foundations, concealers, brushes, and sponges. I use drugstore dupes a lot for eyeshadow, bronzer, mascara, etc.but I spend lots of money on choosing top brand foundations. I would easily use the money to get my estēe Lauder double wear foundation & concealer + a beauty blender sponge!

Heather Avatar

Either the ViseArt Paris Nudes + Besame Red Velvet 1946 lipstick ($103), or Guerlain Meteorites + MUFE Artist Palette Vol 1 Nudes ($104). Then again, I need a new eyeshadow palette like I need one more cat shedding all over my house (i.e., I don’t)… so I should probably sub out the palettes for a new foundation (I’m running out of my beloved super-sized It Cosmetics CC Cream! Oh no!) or brow products (my brows make Cara Delavigne’s look sparse and tidy by comparison, and I ought to do something about it now that I’m moving back to a developed nation in which employers care about such things. Like…brow wax, I guess? The brow trend started after I moved overseas, so I’m kind of out of the loop. I should probably look that stuff up. And probably figure out where I stashed the tweezers.)

I would love some new skincare, too–a combination of tried-and-true drugstore-level stuff (did you know Dollar Shave Club has an AMAZING serum?!) and Paula’s Choice (because her toners and exfoliants make my sensitive skin happy and glowy without breaking me out).

So hard to choose! 😉

Anne Avatar

Probably one or two of the Zoeva Rose Golden Brush sets. They’ve been kind of pushed aside for the limited edition things over the holidays, but aside from that, they’re the top of my list right now.

Alicia Johnson Morris Avatar

If I had a $100 to drop, I’d get the Guerlain holiday meteorites ($80) – the remaining $15 I’d drop on a lip product of some kind

jaz Avatar

Ok. I can go in many different directions. I want to try it cosmetics brushes. I also want the new covergirl TruNaked palettes with more real techniques brushes ( and maybe a good highlight brush). Then , I also want a blush palette from Inglot. Or, finally , one of those darn viseart palettes ( or Charlotte Tilbury or Tom Ford ). Yeah, I’m all over the place today

Gillian Avatar

That’s a tough one. $100 is roughly £66 so I suppose that I’d probably buy a few high-end items rather than lots of lower-priced things.

I need a new moisturiser and I’m toying between Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream or something else since my once mostly clear but oily complexion has been replaced by dehydrated but still oily, medication induced acne skin. Any suggestions people? I could really do with some advice (although I do see my doctor tomorrow)!

For simplicity I’ll stick with the Kiehl’s moisturiser, so that’s £24 gone already!

I’m needing a new mascara so that would either be my beloved L’Oréal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara or one from Lancôme. I love Lancôme’s mascaras, especially the Hypnôse range and Grandiôse.

I guess my favourite out of all the above is actually Lancôme Grandiôse. I love L’Oréal Voluminous but the results you get with the Lancôme are pretty amazing. So that’s roughly £22 (lots of deals on for it just now).

That leaves £20.

Another thing I’ve been wanting for a while, to replace one of my favourite lipsticks that is now discontinued, is the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Washed Seashell. It has the same luminous finish but it’s a tad warmer and less pink. I still love the way it makes your lips look though. The lipstick it would be replacing is the old Creamy Lip Color in Nude Pink. Why did they discontinue it? Why?????

Anyway, the lipstick is bang on £20 so that’s me done!

Three beauty products for £66 pounds. At least it’s (mostly) stuff that I need. So there you go, that’s what I would buy with my imaginary $100. ?

Beth Lincoln Avatar

I would replenish my Paulas Choice Resist line of skin care products. I did quite a bit of damage at the Sephora VIB sale so I don’t want more makeup right now. I’ve got my eye on several LE spring collections to save for.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

I was thinking along the same lines. There are some other skin care products I like but none as effective as Paulas Choice products. Believe when I say, I’ve tried tons of products before I say this. Others may feel fancier but few, if any, are more effective.

Stacy Avatar

That’s definitely the smarter way to go. I “need” more makeup like I need a hole in my head (though there’s plenty I still want LOL). And I’m right there with you on the Resist line from PC. There’s nothing better on the market, period.

Rachel Avatar

I’ve bought way too much make up this holiday season, but I really want a skincare item, the Bobbi Brown EXTRA REPAIR MOISTURIZING BALM SPF 25- $96. I got a sample of this and it is amazing! I just can’t bring myself to spend the money.

Tracey E. Avatar

Hi Rachel, for almost the same amount of money, if you are near a Cosmetics Company Outlet store, Bobbi Brown products are discounted and a boxed set of Extra Repair products (eye cream, serum, and moisture balm) would retail approx. the same price as you quoted for the moisture balm at the counter.

Twyla Avatar

Hard to narrow down…Probably the two tartelette palettes (tartelette and tartelette in bloom) or the hourglass bronzer in light and the nars bronzer in Laguna dying to try them.

VeraLynn Avatar

It sounds like a lot of money but it really doesn’t go very far, does it?! I’ve been eyeing the Estee Lauder Advanced Repairing Serum (or w/e it’s called) for a long time but can never make myself spend that much on something so boring as skincare…but since this is imaginary I’ll say I’d go with that ($62), then blow the last $38 on ColourPop stuff (LE Holiday lippies, plus a few gel liners).

Kayle Avatar

I would get a whole lot of Colourpop – there are so many shadows I want to try! Orrr I’d get both of the Sugarpill palettes I want (Cold Chemistry and Sparkle Baby) and some other indie brand stuff. I’ve been getting pretty deep into indie brands lately.

Nancy T Avatar

A few options come to mind for me:
1.) Viseart Paris Nudes palette with MAC Explosion Plushglass.
2.) Tom Ford Lips & Boys in Hiro and Derek, with MAC Fathoms Deep EDES and whatever would eat up $10!
3.) MAC x Ellie Goulding Halcyon Nights, Explosion Plushglass, Only You lipstick or one of the Huggable lipsticks that would look great with Explosion, also the EDES in Fathoms Deep.

Adhit Avatar

I would love to buy Burberry stuffs, as for now I only have two lipsticks, so my picks for this question would be:

Fresh glow foundation – shade Honey – 52 USD
Burberry Kisses Gloss – shade Oxblood – 29 USD
MAC Lipstick – shade Flat Out Fabulous – 15 USD

That makes 4 USD left~! Yay!

Cat Avatar

I’d get another Jack Black Oil-Free Sun Guard Sunscreen for my husband, another Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper for my oldest daughter, the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S serum and Tocca Beauty
Piccolo Tresoro Giulietta for me. That would leave $1. =)

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

It’s either too much or not enough money to decide. I’d like the holiday Metiorites and there are several palettes, mostly eye shadows that I’d like to try. There are some appliances I’d like to try but most are in the $300.00 range. Perhaps a completely coordinated skin :are line. I’m not a believer that the Uber expensive products are at all better. IMHO, they pay for advertising.
I’d love to have surgery on my hooded eye lids but that’s say out of the price range.
In summary, I don’t really know how I would spend $100.00.

Stacy Avatar

I’d get theBalm’s “Balm of Your Hand” palette, the Pur “Love Your Selfie” palette (I’m always on the hunt for be best “everything in one” kind of palettes, and those two are highest on my wish list), and… I don’t know, a good lipstick, I guess. “Sheer Beso” from Urban Decay, maybe.

Angie Avatar

i’d spend 50 on colourpop shadows. because those i have only 2 but i like them almost as much mufe artist shadows. which says A LOT of things.

the other 50 for (another) two nars audacious lipstick. like i need another audacious.
or one audacious and one burberry lippies. because yes apparently i felt like i need another lippie from those two brands.

Connie Avatar

I want the tarte tartelette palette ($45), a new customized Mac quad with Brun/satin taupe/sketch/grain ($48) and a new Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner in dark brown ($22)
Oops that happened again… I just can’t stick to a budget ?

Astrild Avatar

Ok, they’re 92,53 €. I would choose:
1) MAC 137 brush 50€
2) Kat von D everlasting liquid lipstick in Bauhau5 19,90€
3) UD Naked Concealer. I don’t know the exact price but I think I’d have enough money left.

Deidre Avatar

Nothing too overly exciting, just backups of stuff I use on a regular basis.

Make Up For Ever Brush Cleaner – $25 CAD
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla – $36 CAD
Estee Lauder Little Black Primer Mascara- $27 CAD
L’Occitane 1oz Hand Cream – $12 CAD

I would have to pay the tax as it comes to an even $100 but at least I would have backups of items I use all the time.

Erin Avatar

Probably skincare because I’m boring! I’m dying to get some Jo Malone this holiday because I love so many of the scents my favorites being Dark Amber and Ginger Lily, Wood Sage and Sea Salt, and Cedrat and Incense. I would turn my nose up at any of the ouds or the new Mimosa Cardamon either. As for makeup, I really want some palettes, MUFE and Ciaté have my votes!

Sarah Avatar

Every last penny of that $100 would go to Colourpop. Every time I go on the Colourpop website, my list of “priority items” changes because I’m indecisive. Sticky Sweet, Lunch Money, Birthday Suit and Mixed Tape are my must haves though!
