Sneak Peek: Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette Photos & Swatches

Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette
Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette

Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette ($21.50 for 0.50 oz.) is a taupe-themed palette that features ten eyeshadows. Currently, for U.S. readers, you’ll only find it through Zoeva’s website, which will ship, but at a flat rate of $16.50 (so make your order count). Here’s hoping that SpaceNK gets it soon (they have their last release, Cocoa Blend, along with two others). Full review to come, but here are some swatches to enjoy for now 🙂

P.S. — Gallery really is a mystery to me. It really does look that light and warm-toned in the pan yet ridiculously purple and cool-toned swatched.

This is my favorite Palette ? I don’t know why ” Gallery” looks so warm in your picture, when I look at it in the pan it looks greyish/purple/taupe to me 🙂 maybe it’s your lighting.

Y’know people always seem so shocked when it comes to shipping, but this palette at .5oz is bigger than the Lorac Pro at .32 oz, and the Lorac Pro is 42USD where as this, which is 21.50 plus 16.50 shipping, comes out to about 38USD. So it’s STILL cheaper and bigger. Laura Mercier Artist Palette is 55USD for ,38oz too. Some perspective might be good. Especially since these seem to run 32USD each on SapceNK anyways. It’s not that much more expensive off Zoeva’s website.

People get shocked by shipping prices, but sometimes you have to add them to the retail price and see if it’s worth it. I just paid 15USD shipping for 3 Saucebox eyeshadow singles. Shipping was at least 1/3 of my order cost. But to me, I wanted them, so it was worth it. They were on sale for 7.50 each, plus 15 shipping, so that’s 13.50 per single if you divide the shipping times 3. THAT is how you decide if shipping is worth it and what the real cost of it is.

These are luxury shadows at a cheap price point. Well worth the cost of shipping. I couldn’t agree with you more! The texture and longevity of these shadows are fantastastic.

For me, I’ve been unwilling to spend $37.50 on one of their seemingly beautiful palettes because I have no experience with the brand. On my mature skin, things perform very differently than on those who are ten or twenty years younger than me. Because of too many disappointing purchases in the past, which were based off of other people’s experiences with the products, I can’t force myself to take a chance. But… yeah… some of those palettes look amazing! I hope, at some point in the future, I have the opportunity to try some of their shadows. (Especially that Cocoa Blend palette!)

No Zoeva in Canada (what else is new) but this puts me in mind a fair bit of Naked3, which I was able to skip because of the pinker tones. What a great value, though, for those who can get their hands on it without having to lay out a lot for shipping.

Brittany Avatar

Zoeva ships to Canada! I received an order for makeup brushes from them about 2 weeks ago. I received it in about a week from the time I placed the order.

Janelle Avatar

I am debating placing an order for Zoeva brushes. Did you have to pay extra to DHL for shipping??? Any additional taxes, duties or brokerage? If you don’t mind me asking, was your order under $200?

Clidre Avatar

It seems nice… But nothing really stands out… Please Christine, try some Natasha Denona’s eyeshadows! I heard only great things about those eyeshadows but I only trust your reviews! So I would like to know your opinion before buying some of those

Traycie Avatar

I agree! If you can get ND eye shadows for review that would be great. They are on many Y Tubers list of great eye shadows and I am interested to know if they live up to the hype.

This is up my current makeup alley, groanable pun intended. Do want to try some Zoeva. Have been favorably impressed, overall by Catrice, so want do do more German product, when possible. (Minor, dachshund, VW, all over things G.) Like Cosnova GmBH. I find that Catrice products are diff-from-pan more than occasionally. Occ. it’s a rather pleasant, but WTF moment. C’s l/s Goldy Brown is neither gold, nor brown. It defies description. This can make for some rumbling on the websites, with folks being very annoyed at how non-representative the color swatches are. Sometimes, U, for example does change them, but it does not really fix the issue AT ALL. There’s a lot of beyond the pan experience w/ my limited exposure to German cosmetics. My true comment is a question. Christine has enough to do, so readers, help me out. I don’t understand Space NK. It’s an out of London website, but many Bloomingdale’s online products are sold through them, and there are SNK boutiques within Bloomingdale’s? Does anyone know the business relationship, or even HTF it works? Assume the website has US based order fulfillment and shipping. I don’t live particularly close to a B’s now, so seldom go, esp as Barney’s left that mall and the S is smaller than my locals. No point. I don’t get why some online is through B’s and some is SNK. And you KNOW they had no idea, when i asked. They didn’t know that some online products redirected or were sold through SNK.

KJH Avatar

Yes, there is a SNK within my pseudo-local Bloomie’s, but it wS pretty much under construction the last time I got up that way. Thanks to those of you who helped me with this. I think I’ll try for this in the NY. Looks as if SNK (logically) will add this palette. Either way, guess I’ll be trying anew outlet. I guess SNK in Bloomie’s is like their dedicated boutiques, except it is multi brand. Gotta go back on Zoeva.de. To think that Catrice’s .de website blew me away. Thanks again.

That purple shade with gold flecks is really interesting! And the warm/purple difference is really stark in the third shade haha, how interesting. I love the packaging on this one, and I have the Cocoa Blend palette, which I love, but I hardly reach for it since it doesn’t have a mirror in it!

Maria K Avatar

It is 🙂 eventhough I for once have the advantage of living in Germany (normally it’s harder and more expensive for us to get some products, e.g. Too Faced, Tarte, ColourPop). But I really love Zoeva Products. I have many brushes and 4 eyeshadow palettes: Cocoa Blend, En Taupe, naturally Yours and Smokey. I use these more than my Naked and Naked 3. they are not expensive even with the shipping to the US and maybe you have a friend or 2 who want one, too, so you can split up the shipping.

All in all I can totally recommend them!

IDK, many of these colors are tricky for me. I’m worried the lighter shades are going to look too chalky on my skintone, and the darker purplish/taupe shades are going to look like bruises or shadows. I find that warmer, brighter purples look better on me than darker, cooler-toned ones. As for the swatches, the shimmery shades look good, the mattes look a little dry, but work-able with primer.

Nicole Avatar

This is totally what I have been looking for! I just returned Bobbi Brown’s Greystone today because at $49 for 5 shades I needed a base to get any pigmentation. The high shipping fee hurts. But, considering the usual $40 at least for most palettes- and I honestly would consider that a lower prices one. I just paid $62 for a Chanel quad for example. So, with the shipping, if this gets an A, this may be my Christmas present to myself. Christine ,or anyone, what are some other Zoeva products I should consider to make “my order count”?

Maria K Avatar

The Cocoa Blend palette but you could also try the blushes. I have the colour “Love lust” and really like it. I never tried the lipsticks, but want to. The brushes are also really good 🙂

Oh and I also have a pigment which I really like!

It is so affordable even with the shipping and you could split it up when you have someone that wants something from them, too ☺️

Traycie Avatar

Christine, just asked a Space NK about this. Unfortunately, they don’t have it and they are only carrying Zoeva through Dec. They will no longer carry the brand in 2016

Traycie Avatar

Do you think people didn’t know enough about the company and the results were poor sales? Maybe they wanted to do a trial run and it didn’t get the sales they expected? They , did tell me the smokey eye palette was sold out. They carried 3. This is weird.

Maggie Avatar

Beautiful. Glad that you mentioned that Gallery looks so different swatched. I was scrolling and was like, “did she get things mixed up?” I can’t quite believe my eyes actually. I want this but don’t need so I believe I will wait til I see more must-have’s.

SuzieQ Avatar

I actually bought this palette from the Sephora Australia website (which it just Luxola re-branded under LVMH) for $32.99AUD with free shipping. I love the palette and can’t wait to see how it it rated here.

I’m also now holding out for the restock of the matching brush set.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

I have so many similar colors in existing palettes. Nothing wrong with that but I don’t need them. I’m certain others will love the colors. Please remember that I am insane and have two big deep drawers of shadows at present, even after a two grocery bag gift to my daughter. Actually made me realize how OCD I Really am when it comes to eye color.

Karen Avatar

This looks really pretty just the kind of colors I go for. I would order 2 to offset the shipping it brushes which U hear they have a lot of dupes of high end brushes. There’s always a way.

Zoe Avatar

Spun pearl is the weak link for me here. I swear every eyeshadow palette has a frosty white! A pink matte would be my replacement, haha.
Otherwise, this is a surprise! This palette looks really good, and the price seems to be right.

Abir Avatar

The shade Gallery looks like it would be perfect for that grey contour like Chanel notorious. What do you think, Christine?
I asked the question again because I forgot to add to be notified of follow up comments.

Claire L Avatar

I’ve seen this palette around online and really liked it, it’s unusual and features cool browns for once. I don’t know how I missed that you swatched this earlier but am torn between this and Too Faced’s Chocolate Bon bons lol.
