Iconic London Fresh Faced Sheer Blush Review & Swatches
Fresh Faced
Iconic London Fresh Faced Sheer Blush ($27.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a medium-dark peach with moderate, warm undertones–not too pink, not too yellow–paired with a matte finish. The formula was quite watery and fluid initially, which made it easy to spread out, while the gel-like quality allowed it not to lift up base products.
It had sheer coverage and was only buildable after letting each layer set and dry down before applying more. It showed signs of fading after seven hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$27.00/0.42 oz. - $64.29 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "veil of soft-focus colour" with a "gel-to-watercolour formula" that can be built up if desired. The characterstic that will make or break whether this is a go-to is in the name: sheer. It ended up have incredibly sheer coverage--a veil, indeed!--applied, though it could be built up after waiting for each layer to drydown. The formula was less dewy than I expected and had a more full-on drydown, but it was conducive to building up product.
The consistency was thin, watery with some susbstance to it (the "gel" feel) and spreadable. I liked applying some to the back of my hand, then gently tapping a small amount to my skin and going back for more as necessary. The formula dried down in about 10 to 15 seconds, faster when less product was used (and more didn't give more coverage, just required one to spread it out across a larger area).
Once in place, the product lasted between seven and eight hours on me.

Beautiful shade on your skintone and depth or lighter, but I already know that this would never even show up on me. Which is okay, because everyone deserves options for their various skin depths and tones!
I only have one product from Iconic London – their facial mist – and hadn’t even heard of them til a few months ago. This blush sounds pretty but it also sounds like way too much work for me!
I am torn–I love the color, and doubly so if it’s a peach that doesn’t turn orange on me. In fact I’ve gone to wearing neutral and warm pinks because I have such a problem that way. But $27 for .42 of an ounce…no. There’s so many companies out there, I feel I should be able to find a decent cream blush for $17 instead.
