Hourglass Dim Infusion Ambient Lighting Blush ($35.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “subdued coral.” It’s a light, peachy-orange with a subtle satin sheen. Tarte Darling (LE, $26.00) is darker, less shimmery. bareMinerals The Adrenaline Rush (LE, $29.00) is lighter. MAC Cream Soda (LE, $21.00) is more orange, lighter. Estee Lauder Sensuous Rose (LE, $28.00) is darker, less warm-toned. Bobbi Brown Nude Peach (P, $26.00) See comparison swatches.

The texture was interesting; it was soft, yet there was a slight difference between the light beige (“Dim”) and the more coral-hued shade, as the latter felt a little stiffer, but together, I didn’t really notice a difference in texture. It had true-to-pan color payoff, which could be applied at true intensity or more softly, and then blended out to whatever desired sheerness one wanted. The color is on the lighter end of the spectrum, so it is a shade better suited for lighter complexions. It just barely shows up on my medium complexion, and I’m about NC25/NC30 for reference. I get just a little warmth and color, which can work, but it’ll depend on what you’re after in terms of blush colors. The texture didn’t emphasize pores and had a fair amount of sheen. It wore well for eight hours before starting to show signs of fading.

It’s beautiful but way, way too warm for me and, as you said, Christine, it would be nice to see some definitely cool toned choices with these. I’m going to Sephora today or tomorrow after school and I’m hoping they’re in-store so I can check the relatively “cooler” shades “in the flesh”/on MY flesh!

I’m wondering how cool Ethereal Glow might run, though I feel like basics such as a really cool-toned, cotton candy/bubble gum kind of pink and then a cool-toned plum would be great for the range. They just seem part and parcel – peach, coral, rose, cool pink, plum.

I really don’t like this. You manage to wear it pretty well because of the warmth in your skin tone but for me, much paler, it looks like the sort of product that would make one look unintentionally ruddy.

I’m a lot lighter in skin tone and this color looks very different on me! I found it super pigmented and had to apply lightly or sheer it out. It was clown bright…but definitely stronger on my skin tone. These are so pretty! I’d love to know your favorite, if you have one (or two) after you’re done reviewing them all!

Just want to tell you I really appreciate your descriptions and photos. You give a very accurate appraisal of the product that has reduced my buyers remorse.

Even though you say this barely shows up, I think it’s beautiful on you! Very natural. I having a really hard time choosing between this and Mood Exposure.

How would you say Dim Infusion compares to NARS Sex Appeal?

I think Estee Lauder Sensuous Rose is a permanent, not Limited Edition color. It was one of the first of the new pure color blushes. Its a beautiful color, but they still haven’t changed their terrible packaging, so this may be a nice option. Many, many years ago I found a Color Me Beautiful Blush called Sandstone. It looked like a pale, peachy pink in the compact, but was the perfect color blush on me. Just the right amount of warmth for my pale, redhead complexion, and just enough brightness to light up my face. I’ve never quite found a dupe, although I think MAC tenderling may be close, they used to have a color called Bardot that may have been closer. This is definitely in the ballpark, I will check it out. Thanks!

They are missing a good nude in the collection. I”ve been considering Benefit Dallas or the Tarte brownish nude (can’t remember the color name) as my next blush purchase, but this willl make a great spring color for light complexions who like warm tones.

Oh man…this one looks divine. I don’t know MAC’s coloring system but how would this work on MUFE HD #120? xD

Also, if anyone knows, how does this compare to Nar’s Final Cut (the LE one for spring?). 🙂
