I’ve tried most of them, DS to HE, and the *only* one that lasts & doesn’t sting/burn is Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil. I do a lot of walking in the SoCal heat & humidity, and it does not budge. I do have to touch up after a few hours some days, but at least it never smudges. The best part, it’s only $3, and easily obtainable. It’s also an “automatic” pencil, so I don’t have to worry about having a sharpener, or small particles getting in my eyes.

I haven’t tried the “new” Jordana liners, but even the “regular” ones years ago were awesome, and pretty much the only brand I used. Then, they just sort of disappeared from the shelves, at least in local stores, so I was forced to move on… I need to give them another try, though!

The only one in my life, tried DS – HE, that survived one of my Depression-troubled days was Bobbi Brown’s Gel Eyeliner waterproof. (Automatic Pen)

I forgot about that one! I just bought it recently, so I haven’t used it a lot, but I really love the color. I’m quite fair, and many nude pencils run too peachy for me, but not the Rimmel. I guess it’s one of the few truly universal products out there!

I’ve been really enjoying Marc Jacobs for the waterline lately. Which is a little unexpected since the formulation is so soft and (obviously) gelled. But the Ardency Inn Modster liners have stolen the show for me. So far I only have the black and lilac shades, but those babies truly stay-put top or bottom, lashline or waterline. Even on my very deep-set and oily-lidded eyes. They’re truly, truly lovely. Highly recommend giving those a shot for anyone who regularly has waterline issues (as much as I love and covet UD liners for their colors, their staying-power on my waterline is not that great).

Great question! I have a wet waterline, and have tried many eye pencils – MUFE, UD, Marc Jacobs, Mally, IT Cosmetics, Loreal Silkissme, BH Party Girl liner, and Jordana without success. I found a a few that work, and even these only last 3-4 hours before I need to re-apply–Too Faced Bulletproof 24 Hr Eyeliner, Essence Gel Liner, and Prestige Total Intensity. I’ll be reviewing the readers comments for suggestions.

Drugstore – Jordana 12 hour made to last liquid eyeliner pencil.
High end – It Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliner
and honestly for $2 the Jordana is better.

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Waterproof Eye Pencil & Senna Ultra Last Eyeliner! Greaaatttt staying power! I have dry eyes, I use rewetting drops several times a day and my eyeliner just stay put until the time I remove my makeup.
I prefer Armani because it’s softer, but the longevity between these two are very similar.

PS: both outperformed UD 24/7 & MUFE Aqua Eyes. I used to love UD Perversion, but then I found both Armani & Senna…..

The UD Velvet pencils have been a gamechanger for me – they stay on the waterline all day and don’t run out the corners, which is a problem for me with virtually every other product I’ve ever used there, including UD’s regular liners.

Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eye Liner! I know this is a controversial one that doesn’t seem to work on a lot of people, but it’s really the only eyeliner I’ve found that can last a few hours on my lower waterline without triggering a nasty allergic reaction. The others either fade within 10 minutes or make my eyes so, so itchy 🙁

Gee, I was hoping for more comments::
Plus more comments about eyeliner pots.
Pots:
Iglot: is very good
Mac: Black track and Black Ivy are my favs.
Bobbie Brown I haven’t tried. But I will.
Pencils:
Pretty much all of these are good, I use all of these too.
Lancôme
Iglot
Gherlain
Mac
Estée Lauder
Makeup forever
Armani
Marc Jacobs

Gherlain’s
kohl powder in “tube” for lack of a better word.
It just is a bit messy.
The blue is beautiful!!

If I need a black for my waterline….I am very loyal to my Nars eyeliner in the color Ruebonnapart. (Sp?)
It’s definitely my HG for the waterline. I’ve never used it 4 anything else now that I think about it.

i feel like i’ve tried a ton and none work as well as i want them to. the ones that last the best on my waterline are trish mcevoy gel pencil and the l’oreal in the pot. both of these last fairly well, but only the black ones. i’ve tried every color in the trish and l’oreal and black is best. what i like most about these two is that they just sort of fade into nothing rather than smudging under the eye or causing eye goop in the inner corner.

Another vote for Guerlain. I use their liquid liner on my top waterline everyday, it’s amazing! It does seem to last all day too; unless I tear up or take a lengthy nap.

Anastasia Beverly Hills metallic luster liner in gold and silver have been working very well for me this holiday season. Usually never put anything in my waterline because it either bugs my contacts or does not stay put. These stay all day and really pop the eye. Also love love LOVE the Eyeko Making eyes Automatic gel eyeliner they stay put in the waterline. Powder pink is perfect in the waterline for a pop of light. The plum wine color is amazing on green eyes.!!

i really love the tiny hourglass gel liner that came out recently, otherwise mac’s smolder, kat von d’s black eyeliner pencil, i do like UD’s perversion, but that one is sometimes troublesome with my contacts =/

Mina Avatar

try bobbi brown’s new waterproof gel eyeliner as automatic pen. It will do! I never had one staying, until this year and I am 34. But try not to blink, so it can set and dry (I do this by gently holding the lid up)

Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Sticks. I know these are cream shadow sticks, but they can be easily applied on the lower waterline, with a fine brush or just straight from the tube (not sure about upper…haven’t tried). You’ll have a minute to blend, if needed, and then it stays put like nobody’s business. I haven’t found anything else that stays put on the lower waterline (and I’ve tried almost all). Plus, the colors are gorgeous. I happen to use the warm brown.

For a pencil, I thought the original Bare Minerals Round The Clock in black was amazing, but is now discontinued, I believe. As far as gel goes, I like MAC Blacktrack but occasionally need to re-apply/touch up. If you really want a NO BUDGE waterline liner, try Inglot #77! OMG, it stayed on so well, I actually got nervous trying to remove it that night!
