Guerlain Rosy Silk Kiss Kiss LipstickGuerlain Rosy Silk Kiss Kiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “silky pink.” It’s a soft, light-medium pink with warm undertones, gold shimmer, and a luminous finish. Tom Ford Beauty Flynn (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, less glossy. Tom Ford Beauty Ian (LE, $32.00) is less pink, less warm-toned. Tom Ford Beauty Addison (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker, less glossy. Too Faced Shimmering Marshmallow Bunny (LE, $22.00) is lighter. MAC Dream Daze (LE, $22.00) is warmer, less shimmery. MAC Soft Savour (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, more matte. Estee Lauder Impulsive (P, $30.00) is less shimmery, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It had semi-sheer color coverage; enough pigment to alter the lip color but still translucent so the natural lip color will come through. The consistency was emollient with a fair amount of slip, and though the color could be smoothed into place, you will see “lines” if you press your lips together, as the color moves around. It pulled into lip lines slightly, but it didn’t seem to worsen over time. This shade lasted for three hours on me but was nicely hydrating, at least. This is the type of color that is right up my alley, but it seems hard to execute.

WHY Christine, WHYYYYYY. I’m on a strict no-buy for a whole 365 days!!! This reminds me of a L’Oreal Lipstick I had years ago. It’s the only lipstick I’ve ever worn down to a nub, which makes me think I’d get a lot of mileage from this one, too! Maybe the purchase is excused since it’s LE?

No, Estefania! Pull yourself together! *slaps self*

Btw, Christine, what is the difference between the Guerlain Rouge G and the Guerlain Kiss Kiss lipsticks? I know the Rouge G line also has some more neutral shades, right? Is is a matter of opacity?

It looks nice on, but in a way I preferred the way it looked in your arm swatch – less of the white base comes through! It’s exactly like what I just experienced with the Bare Minerals one – the arm swatch looks one colour, and then the white base comes through on the lips… interesting!

Love it !!! Even tho it’s not a pigmented color nor a full-coverage finish. But that’s something I call it a “blind-application”, something I can put on without looking closely into a mirror in where it’s well lit. The price maybe a little higher for something “balm-like”, but I trust Guerlain with their ingredients so it still live up to the price tag imo.

The shade looks pretty in the bullet with lovely shimmers but on lips it didn’t look impressive.. I guess some colors look better in bullets.. 😉

So happy I read this review. I was sad I missed out on this color has it looked so pretty in the tube – but now I feel much better. Hehe. 🙂
