Here are the last three shades of the new Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) range. You can check out all the shades reviewed here. To recap: the KissKiss formula falls somewhere between Rouge Automatiques and Shine Automatiques; it has more of the slip and feel of the Shine (and also a glossier finish), but the color payoff is more in line with the Rouge. I don’t think they are comparable to Rouge Gs; they have a thinner, more emollient consistency and wear shorter (on average). They have a violet scent but no discernible taste.

Guerlain Red Strass (327) KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium, orange-toned red with gold shimmer. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but there was a light translucency where the natural lip color came through and kept the color from looking “heavy” on. The shimmer is fine, and I didn’t notice the texture of the shimmer until the very last hour of wear. It lasted for five hours on me and left a light stain behind, and it was lightly hydrating. Kat Von D Adora (P, $21.00) is more matte. MAC Head in the Clouds (LE, $16.00) is brighter. Estee Lauder Envious (P, $30.00) is less shimmery. MAC Cherry Glaze (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, brighter. Revlon Provocateur (135) (P, $8.99) is less shimmery. Chanel Enigmatique (135) (P, $34.00) is more matte. Chanel Dialogue (P, $34.00) is redder. Guerlain Coque d’Or (P, $35.00) is sheerer, more muted. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Guerlain Red Hot (328) KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a luminous finish. This one didn’t have any shimmer. The consistency had a bit more slip than other shades, so the color had a glossier look, and it didn’t apply as evenly as other shades I’ve tested. It is moderately hydrating, which was a plus, and the glossier finish makes lips appear smoother. On me, the color wore well for five hours. NARS Audrey (P, $32.00) is darker. Revlon 5th Ave. Red (LE, $7.99) is slightly brighter, warmer. MAC Viva Glam Rihanna (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery. NARS Hyde Park (P, $25.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Guerlain Very Pink (360) KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brightened, fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a luminous finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but like Red Hot, the consistency had a bit more slip to it, so it didn’t apply as evenly as other shades do in the range (but it is not too noticeable). The color wore well for four and a half hours and was nicely hydrating. Too Faced Melted Candy (P, $21.00) is darker, brighter. MAC Red Balloon (LE, $16.00) is pinker, lighter. Guerlain Rose Grenat (864) (LE, $51.00) is darker. MAC Quite the Thing! (LE, $17.00) is more muted. MAC Feeling Amorous? (LE, $20.00) is sheerer. Revlon Whimsical (115) (P, $8.99) is sheerer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

What a pretty set of shades! Red Strass reminds me of a more opaque, less orange-y version of Coque d’Or from the Automatique line. (I like the warmth in that shade because it keeps it from pulling fuschia on me as most sheer reds are wont to do.) I suspect Red Hot will pull a little more neutral-cool on us English rose types, which makes it very flattering across the spectrum. If I wind up grabbing anything from the Kiss Kiss line, it may very well be one of these shades. I’m really digging the new packaging – the gold was always just a tad overdone for me, but this new black cases are so nice and chic!

Beautiful colors and beautiful on you! That first one is very, very tempting. We’ll see if I bite (buy).
But you say Adora is more matte. And Adora, in my mind, isn’t so very matte at all….so it’s (obviously, I suppose) more shimmery than Adora? But it’s still very pretty on?
Thanks!

I like the sparkle in Red Strass! 😀 Heh, the minute I saw the lip swatch of Very Pink, I immediately thought ‘hmm, Revlon!’. I was wondering about a lip butter, but I see Whimsical on your list! 😀

God help my wallet, but the Rouge Automatiques are just wonderful on my lips T_T. It’s not often that a product leaves your lips feeling better after it has worn off than before it was applied! I wonder how I’d fare with these…

This formula intrigues me because I feel like it might be more wearable for me than some others due to its slight sheerness. I have a couple of Rouge Gs, and while I don’t dispute that they are top notch lippies, I find them a bit too opaque on my thin-lipped, small mouth, which I think makes me look severe. What other brands do a formula somewhat in line with this one, Christine?

harder to not buy this knowing how much I love the feel and wear of Guerlain’s lip products. I will have to add Red Strass to my Someday Wishlist.

So pretty. I’m loving the Red Strass. I haven’t tried Guerlain, since they are kind of spendy. Or at least the stuff I want it is. 🙂 All their stuff always looks so pretty, though.
