As I mentioned in my review for Cherry Nectar, the formula is supposed to “softly illuminate” with a “veil of color.” Gucci has a bullet-point list that also calls out “sheer texture,” “blends effortlessly, and “buildable color.” I thought the quality of this shade was better than Cherry Nectar, as this was more blendable and easier to apply, but it, too, was very pigmented. The only way I could get a “veil of color” was barely dabbing the brush against the powder and then tapping off excess, then applying to the skin. The texture of the powder is soft, velvety, and very smooth with a silky feeling that doesn’t get powdery, and it looks fantastic on skin as there’s a soft, luminous glow that doesn’t emphasize pores. On my skin, this shade wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

The color makes me overlook the cons! I was hoping you’d compare it to Edward Bess Secret Affair.. this looks brighter ?
Brighter, warmer (less pink), and more sparkly!
Well, better too much pigment than too little I guess 🙂 Very pretty!
That’s probably how a lot of people feel 🙂
I just don’t know about this collection. It’s nice that the blushes offer good pigmentation (even though this fact seems to go against the “sheer” and “veil” of colour concept) 🙂
Yeah, I mean, I prefer my blushes more pigmented than not, so happy accident… but if you were hoping for sheer, outta luck!
Gives you a beautiful glow, girl! Seems like a fab product, albeit too pigmented for me!
Thank you, Sarah! 🙂
It’s a nice shade but I’m not sure it’s worth the money!
That is insanely beautiful. But no way that’s sheer.
Very pretty. I think this colour would suit a lot of people.
Urgh, the packaging reminds me so much of Burberry, but at this price, I think I’d get the Burberry one!
As fond as I am of pigmented blushes, I think this is a little more pigmented than even I’d go for, LOL! It’s a very pretty and peachy colour, but I’m pretty sure a vampire like me would have to just…wave the compact past my cheek? 😀
MAC Fleur Power! I think it’s time you just buy that blush! Haha! Oh, thank you so very much for explaining the indoor/outdoor perspective you use with the lip shots! Now I get it! 🙂
This is lovely. (On you) Have you done a best fall blushes thingy yet?
I think I have… or at least some recent fall-ish blush one (maybe it was plum?).
These blushes make me think more blushes than those lipsticks. Surprised a renown brand like Gucci never got into cosmetics until when I am old. I am still waiting for the Malachite review before I start my shopping list.
It’s a beautiful colour!
The color is really flattering on you!
And Crushed Coral gloss looks fabulous with the blush!
