Best illuminating product? Becca highlighters in Opal and Moonstone
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Yes on special occasions 🙂

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Probably gloss on the lips. Not a huge fan of glitter on the eyes due to the fallout.
Best illuminating product? NARS Copacabana
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? I usually don’t. I just use concealer to cover up dem dark circles. I don’t want a ton of attention on that area.

Skin Tone – light w/ neutral undertones
Favorite way to add sparkle – i love the way sparkly liquid eyeliner looks! I also love a good illuminating/finishing powder and I like using metallic gold eyeliner in the corners of my eyes for a lovely evening look.
Best Illuminating product… I don’t have too much experience in this yet – out of the three illuminating products I own (highlighter in Guerlain’s terra ora, guerlain crazy meteorites, and kevyn aucoin celestial liquid), I would say the meteorites is the best one I own – it’s so subtle and makes my skin look luminous without looking like i am wearing anything! The Celestial liquid tends to emphasize my pores and is more gold, and the terra orra i prefer blended together with the darker shade as a bronzer, not so much just highlighting.
I do not highlight underneath my eyes! Is that a thing I should be doing? Lol. Concealer there brightens enough when I use it. Just the corners and brow bone for me, thanks.

Skintone/Coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark-featured.

Add Sparkle? Definitely eyeshadow! Or, nail polish. Then again, I tend to match my nail polish to my eyeshadow…

Illuminator: Maybelline Master Hi-Light Blush, either the pink or mauve. I have sooo many products to choose from that I love, but I prefer specific ones for different purposes. However, the Maybelline is great for everyday, and acts as blush & highlighter on days I just want something quick.

Highlight Under Eyes: Sometimes, when I’m doing full looks, which typically call for darker eyeshadows on my already dark eyes. I haven’t found “the” product yet, but I plan to look into a few this week. I set concealer with NARS Nico, though-most times.

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look?: Highlighter on cheeks and nose!
Best illuminating product?: The Celestial Skin Liquid Illuminating Emulsion
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Nope! Too much undereye darkness, illuminating only seems to highlight the fact that the area is less-than-perfect..

■Best illuminating product? MAC Extra DImension highlighters… Whisper of Gilt, Superb… SIGH.

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Different kinds of eye shadows but I’m not into chunky glitter.
Best illuminating product? Becca or the Balm highlighters!
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Sort of because I use the Bobbi Brown tinted eye brightener & either an Hourglass setting powder on top or the Anastasia Beverly Hills powder in banana.

Jessica Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Deep Dark/ NW47

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? I love to highlight my face using Lorac Tantalizer and the balm Betty Lou-Manizer

Best illuminating product? I love NARS Orgasm Liquid Illiminator or Loreal Dream Lumi. I mix them into my foundation to give me a nice glow.

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Yup! I use a mixture of LA Girl Pro Conceal in Fawn and MAC Pro Long Wear concealer in NW45. Then I set it with a mix of Ben Nye Banana Powder and Topaz.

Your skin tone/coloring: Deep with yellow undertones
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look?: I honestly hate sparkle nowadays. The most I’ll do is a glittery or shimmery eyeshadow on special occasions . I’m way into mattes and satins now. Sheen over sparkle for me!
Best illuminating product? I have never used a luminizer before the Hourglass Ambient Light palettes. I like Incandescent Light to highlight. My skin is naturally really luminous, but this helps recreate that light when I have a ton of mattifying products on because of my oily skin! And doesn’t look obvious once oiliness has broken through.
Do you highlight underneath your eyes?: I’ve never tried that. My makeup looks are always super natural, so I’m kinda scared it would give me that “obviously wearing makeup” effect. Maybe I should give it a try one day! I’ll read all these comments to get some ideas. 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? I like eyeshadows with shimmer on my lids – that more than anything makes me look brighter, fresher but I also like a little hit of highlighter on my cheekbones now and then (The Mary Lou Manizer is my “old reliable”)
Best illuminating product? IT Cosmetics CC Radiance Powder (I think that’s what it’s called) from a face palette I got recently
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? no, but I do use some setting powders for my concealer(s) that purport to have highlighting properties.

Nina Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light/Medium

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? I love a sparkly bright liner on my lower lash line. It really brightens up my eyes and makes my eyes look shiny.

Best illuminating product? MAC Lightscapade Skin Finish. My favorite face highlighter of all time. I have oily skin so I don’t like something with lots of shine and this is the perfect subtle highlighter.

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? I’ll highlight with concealer under my eyes because I do wear glasses and they cast a shadow. If I didn’t wear glasses I most likely would not bother highlighting underneath my eyes.

Renee Avatar

Skin tone/coloring: NW25-30
Favorite way to add sparkle: facial highlighter or glittery nail polish
Best illuminator: Kevin Aucoin (sp?) Celestial Skin Highlighter
Highlight under eyes?: No, I just use concealer because I tend to get bags and have fine lines under the eyes and I don’t want to draw more attention to that area.

Jennifer Avatar

Coloring: Snow White (character)
Favorite way to add sparkle: Glitter. LIT Glitter Base ftw.
Best Illuminating: I rather like Benefit’s Watts up. I use Silk Naturals Splendid more often though.
Highlight Underneath the Eyes: No, but I conceal the heck out of my dark circles there.

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? A metallic shadow, the L’oreal infallible shadow in amber rush is brilliant for doing that.
Best illuminating product: Wet n Wild reserve your cabana
Do you highlight under your eyes? I use the Maybelline age rewind dark circle concealer in brighten to highlight under my eyes

May Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Medium with strong yellow undertones
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? When I just want a subtle glow (because I’m generally already a greasy person hah), I set my undereye area/cheekbones with Hourglass ALP in Diffused Light.
Best illuminating product? Hourglass for subtle looks, theBalm Mary-Loumanizer for the perfect golden glow, or MAC Prep+Prime Light Boost for brightening the high points of my face.
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? For more “serious” looks, yeah. If not, I just correct my undereye area.

do you highlight under your eyes: yes. i use a concealer that is a shade lighter than i am and then i use a highlighter over it. sometimes cream sometimes powder

🙂

Skin tone: medium dark with golden undertones. (NC 50).
Due to really oily lids, I unintentionally “sparkle” by the end of each workday (lol). It’s subtle and actually I like it. For intentional sparkle, I like a shimmery eyeshadow.

Best illuminating product: Hourglass Radiant Light. It’s subtle and beautiful. I also love Revlon’s Photoready Skinlights in Bronze. This is a drugstore bronzer which works beautifully mixed with foundation or tinted moisturizer.

I use color corrector under my eyes or use a subtle highlight with concealer.

◾Your skin tone/coloring: I’m around 330N in my Lancôme Teint Idol Foundation. Around a NW25
◾Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? High lighting my cheeks, with shimmer/sparkle. Sometimes adding glitter liner on the bottom lash line on the outer corner, usually in a gold shade.
◾Best illuminating product? I love MAC MSF in By Candlelight of Petticoat. Their Oldies but goodies.
◾Do you highlight underneath your eyes? I used Maybelline Fit me Concealer to conceal/highlight if my dark circles are looking pretty bad.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/neutral; auburn hair, hazel/green eyes

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Either sparkly lip gloss or a sparkly eye shadow on the lids.

Best illuminating product? Too Faced Candlelight (yellow); Benefit’s Dandelion (pink).

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? No, because I have pretty deep creases under my eyes that I don’t want attention drawn to. If I have dark circles, I use a brightening concealer. I usually just line my lower lashes, though. My cheekbones are high, so if I highlight them, that takes care of brightening my upper face.

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Chanel Fantasme – I use it anywhere and everywhere, from eyes to collarbones!

Best illuminating product? You know, I don’t really use highlighter!

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Not usually, unless I got overenthusiastic with my inner-corner highlight or lower lash line shade… 😉

Diana Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: NC40
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look?: Eyeshadow or Highlight Cheekbones or glitter liner!
Best illuminating product?: TheBalm Mary Louminizer
Do you highlight underneath your eyes?: Not always but on dark, dark circle days a I do a bit. I conceal with a concealer one shade lighter/peachier than my skin tone, set with RCMA No Color Powder and then dust the tiniest bit if Inglot 612DS eyeshadow.

Your skin tone/coloring: MAC NC15/ NARS Gobi

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte on the inner portion of the lids. Instant shine without going overboard.

Best illuminating product? TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer; hands down the easiest product to use with the biggest impact. It makes my skin look smooth and glowy and radiant.

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? As subtly as possible. Sometimes I’ll use YSL’s Touche Eclat or a concealer that is slightly lighter than my skin tone. My current obsession is the Dior Star Concealer in 001. It is incredible.

Nikki Avatar

skin tone: light, neutral skin (nc 20-25)

favorite way to add sparkle: I love highlighters on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose, as well as skipping powder for a natural shine (I’m slightly oily). For eyes I really like a strong inner eye highlight; if I’m really in the mood to shine, I’ll often line the inner v with a metallic silver like UD Cuff.

best illuminating product: I love MAC Pearl CCB and Benefit Highbeam. I want to try one of the Hourglass finishing powders for an allover glow, though.

do you highlight underneath your eyes: No, the opposite actually. I have pretty average undereye darkness, but I think it looks more natural to err on the side of less under the eye than more, and a touch of natural undereye darkness doesn’t bother me at all. After a light application of concealer, I find it doesn’t make strong makeup looks appear any less polished and I never worry that I look tired.

i use the hourglass diffused light all the time all over my face i tried luminous light but it was too dark for a highlight and too beige/pink for me all over i think youd like diffused (creamish yellow) or ethereal (straight white but beautiful) or maybe dim (peachy beige)but idk dim is too dark for me and im an nc20! :))

Your skin tone/coloring: Dark NW45
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Hourglass radiant light
Best illuminating product? Still searching for a good one
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? yes with Mac pro concealer and Ben Nye Banana powder

emjay Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? I usually prefer sheen or shimmer, but every once in awhile I’ll add a sparkly lip gloss or, for an evening out, a sparkly shadow. The ColorPop cream shadows are great because there isn’t a lot of fallout.
Best illuminating product? Guerlain Meteorites – primer and pearls. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Laura Mercier Baked Highlight.
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Sometimes. My dark circles have improved since I started using First Aid Beauty’s Triple Eye Remedy, so usually just a bit of concealer will do.

Your skin tone/coloring: NC05

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look: Glitter, But not huge particles. I’m a fan of Lit cosmetics because they very the sizes. Also a fan of glitter mica (think MAC and Coastal Scents 😉 ).

Best illuminating product: I’m a fan of my Guerlain Parure de Nuit pressed powder. It has glow without the shimmer. I’m also a fan of the Gelee formula from Italy so I have a number of these “Extra Dimension” pressed powders from MAC, Estee Lauder, and Lancome. Also Watt’s Up! from Benefit I’m enjoying.

Do you highlight underneath your eyes: No, I’m more a corrector and concealer girl there. The inner tear duct is where I highlight.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fairest neutral. Illamasqua Skin Base SB02 or Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation in 001.

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? I love sparkly eyeshadow but a fun way is to use glittery eyeliner. I use the cheap Collection ones on top of a regular gel or liquid eyeliner on my upper lash line. It’s a nice look for a party or if you’re going out.

Best illuminating product? As much as I love my liquid highlighters I tend to get a glowy look by just using a shimmery blush these days. If I do use a separate illuminator then I either use a liquid such as Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl / Rouge Bunny Rouge Seas of Illumination in Sea of Tranquillity or I’ll use my trusty Prescriptives Illuminator powder that I’ve had for about a million years! It gives such a beautiful warm golden glow but it’s subtle enough for even the fairest skin tones.

Do you highlight underneath your eyes? Very rarely but I do like to use Avon’s SuperShock gel eyeliner in Golden Fawn on my lower lash line, which is about the lightest I tend to go for that area. They also do one called Flash, which is a light, shimmery, pink-toned liner that’s good for highlighting the inner corner of the eye. I love the SuperShock eyeliners in general and I’ve got all the colours they’ve ever done since they are so cheap. They have great colour payoff and just glide on. And no, I’m not an Avon representative. 😛

Favorite way to add sparkle to your look? Lancôme Les Pailletes Aux Yeux in Lumiere de Paris (taupe glitter, extremely beautiful for Christmas)
Best illuminating product? I really love L’Oréal Lumi Magique Base Concentré de Lumiére for my oily skin
Do you highlight underneath your eyes? No, I just conceal where I need it

Kat Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Extremely fair and neutral cool.
Favorite way to add sparkle to your look?: I’m not sure how to answer this. The only sparkle I ever have in my look is my eyeshadow though, so eyeshadow?
Best illuminating product?: I still haven’t found one that I like much, but the best so far is Benefit High Beam.
Do you highlight underneath your eyes?: Haha, I’d have to use actual highlighter because it’s hard enough to find foundation light enough for my skin, let alone lighter. I think that might look off.

i like to add shimmer more than glitter with highlighter, eye shadow and blush
