Gucci Agatha Orange, Three Wise Girls, Vantine Fuchsia Sheer Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Agatha Orange (302)
Gucci Beauty Agatha Orange (302) Sheer Lipstick ($42.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, medium orange with moderate, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had medium coverage that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without settling into my lip lines, which is a nice surprise as more emollient or luminous formulas can often have that as a downside.
The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and comfortable to wear, though it wasn’t as hydrating as marketed (but not drying at least!). It wore well for four and a half hours.

Formula Overview
$42.00/0.12 oz. - $350.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "moisture-rich" with a "luminous shine" that "delivers sheer color." The brand went further and described the coverage as "semitransparent color with luminous shine." The shades had semi-sheer to medium coverage, often slightly buildable, so it was enough pigment to look like something when applied but definitely let the natural lip color come through (so your mileage may vary if you have more pigmented lips than I do).
The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had a light creaminess to it; the formula didn't feel as luminous as it looked, which was a good thing as it prevented the product from sliding around too readily. The most impressive part was that most shades applied evenly and didn't settle into my lip lines initially nor over time. The wear time was as expected, but it was shorter than more pigmented and less shiny formulas; most shades lasted between three and four hours. The formula felt lightly hydrating but not what I'd call "moisture-rich."
They have a moderate, sweet floral scent (the brand says "floral fragrance with violet notes and a soft, fruity scent"), and I felt like I occasionally could taste the fragrance, though it was a lot less noticeable and present compared to Gucci's original lipstick range (many years ago). I could definitely smell the scent with the product applied, so it was stronger than some formulas where the scent is only noticeable in the packaging/tube.

Three Wise Girls (401)
Gucci Beauty Three Wise Girls (401) Sheer Lipstick ($42.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It wasn’t as glossy or as shiny as other shades in the line-up, though it had a similar feel: lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had enough glide to apply in a fluid stroke.
The semi-sheer- to medium coverage applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip texture or lip lines. It stayed on nicely for four hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Vantine Fuchsia (402)
Gucci Beauty Vantine Fuchsia (402) Sheer Lipstick ($42.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a glossy shine. It had semi-sheer color payoff in a single layer, which didn’t build up beyond that. The color didn’t seem to apply as evenly as other shades, though it didn’t build up in my lip lines, but there were areas where the color seemed to adhere better to than others.
The consistency felt lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had moderate slip but didn’t feel as wet as it the gloss-factor would have indicated. This shade lasted well for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

I love sheer lipsticks that still have some punch. And lasting power. These look wonderful! So happy to see the pendulum swing away from mattes.
All 3 of these scream spring and summer to me. And I am truly enjoying the resurgence of super shiny, semi sheer lipsticks that remind me of stained glass!
Agatha Orange is a gorgeous orange shade of lipstick that I would wear.
I am liking an awful lot of these Gucci shades!
I love these Gucci lippies but just can’t wear orange. The remainder are a go.
Do these have a scent? As I don’t really like lipsticks with a heavy fragrance..although I don’t mind the mild vanilla scent in Mac
Please read “Formula Overview!” Instead of repeating myself in each shade’s review, there is a Formula Overview that goes through all of the claims and formula-level characteristics, e.g. scent, taste, etc.!
These are all really beautiful and I am a sucker for a nice sheer, glossy lip… but gosh, the price point on these for that very thing makes me wince. I know these kinds of formulas don’t have lasting power on me, and need frequent reapplication, so I am so much more comfortable seeking out “drugstore dupes.”
