Bronze (10)

Giorgio Armani Bronze (10) Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer Highlighter ($44.00 for 0.61 oz.) is a darker, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had sheer coverage, which was as marketed, but it was nearing that point of sheer that it was closer to translucent. There was faint, visible pearl and a barely-there sheen but very little color and warmth translated.

The texture was very fluid and runny, so it lacked some of the more gel-like quality of more recently-released liquid highlighters that it might be compared to. As a result, I liked using a brush better for applying it as a standalone highlighter as it helped to absorb some of the moisture and gave a better, more even finish. I noticed this shade seemed a little more prone to lifting up base products when I used a fingertip to apply.

The formula dried down to yield a soft sheen that was dewy but not glossy, and the shimmer was fine so it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture at all. It lasted for eight hours before fading visibly on me.

Formula Overview

$44.00/0.61 oz. - $72.13 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "ultra blendable" with "sheer coverage" and have a "natural dewy" finish. It can be applied on its own, on top of products, or mixed in with foundation.

The coverage was very sheer, and the more fluid, almost watery, consistency made what was already sheer coverage have a tendency to be even sheerer. I found that the effect of it on its own, as a standalone highlighter, on top of products or bare skin was very subtle to the point where it looked more like faint particles of shimmer but little color and subtle luminosity.

Applied over bare skin, fingertips or brushes worked well, but I preferred a duo-fiber, more feathery brush for applying it over foundation as it seemed more prone to leaving behind fingertips when I tried patting it over foundation. It mixed well with different foundations, and it also was something that mixed well with moisturizers or more fluid primers.

It dries down for the most part, so it wasn't prone to sliding around while worn nor did it feel tacky on. They wore around eight hours on average before fading.
