Giorgio Armani No. 03 Fluid Sheer Review, Photos, Swatches
Giorgio Armani No. 03 Fluid Sheer
Giorgio Armani No. 03 Fluid Sheer ($62.00 for 1.0 fl. oz.) is a slightly muted, medium copper with warm, orange undertones and fine, gold pearl shimmer. It had sheer coverage that was buildable to semi-sheer. The texture was thin, almost watery (but not in a bad way), and spread across the skin easily with even, sheer dispersion. It leaves behind a dewy, luminous sheen on the skin when it dries down. On me, the color wore for eight and a half hours before fading. This one was easy to mix in with foundation for general warmth, but it may be a little too shimmery for some, depending on what your preference is. Becca Opal (P, $38.00) is lighter, cooler. Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $26.00) is lighter. Becca Topaz (P, $38.00) is more pigmented. Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow (LE, $45.00) is more shimmery, darker, more pigmented. Becca Topaz (P, $41.00) is cooler. Illamasqua Supernatural (P, $24.00) is darker, cooler. MAC Barbados Girl (LE, $20.00) is darker, cooler. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
FORMULA SUMMARY | Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer ($62.00 for 1.0 fl. oz.) is available in fifteen shades that range from sheer beige to sheer yellow to sheer copper. The formula is supposed to “dress skin in an illuminating veil of radiance.” It’s designed to be sheer, though some shades are more buildable than others, and in general, the darker hued shades are going to appear more pigmented and can be used as highlighting blushes or even as blushes (depending on your skin tone) — the brand actually calls out it can be used as “an eyeshadow base, blush, or bronzer” as well as your typical highlighter. It can be used alone, mixed with base products (like foundation, primer, or moisturizing). Some shades are glittery, others are shimmery, and others have very fine shimmer. Alone, I tend to get seven to eight hours of wear with lighter, shimmery shades and closer to ten hours or longer with some of the bolder shades, and it doesn’t seem to impact the wear of my base products (either shortening or lengthening the wear). I like fingertips or a duo-fiber/stippling brush for application using a patting and dabbing motion rather than a lot of sweeping, then a light buffing to diffuse and blend out the edges.

Glad to see you reviewing more of these! In terms of quality, do you find the Fluid Sheer formula better than the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid for use all over the face? I’m torn between the two but I think the colour of the Kevyn Aucoin suits my skintone best (though the Armani is actually a little cheaper here in the UK).
It depends on the shade – some of the Fluid Sheers are great, some are less so. I don’t notice a difference in terms of wear when I mix with my foundation, but Giorgio Armani’s is sheerer with the lighter shades!
The gold shimmer in this one is beautiful and more refined
It is!
This is stunningly gorgeous on you dear 🙂
I missed commenting here and giving you compliments
but trust me …. my heart still skip a beat when I see highlighters reviews here
pls keep them coming
and now am waiting for your Fav Five with GA fluid sheers
Will do 😀
Thank you, Rashmi!
Too dark for me but lovely!
Hopefully there’ll be one that works for you!
This is pretty. But with the price tag, I wouldn’t choose this one. A little too warm for me. It may work in summer. But, I would rather shoot for one that would look nice year round.
I reallllyyy wish they’d do half the size and charge less. Even if it wasn’t 50% less!
Me too! $62 is just so much. I own a TON of liquid luminizers. I think I did pay a lot for my Tom ford Firelust. It’s pretty darn unique though and he put out one shade with that collection. So,I agree, I think Armani’s sales would sky rocket if they came down to real people’s wallet sight. no, $40-$45 is not “cheap”. But, it is more affordable. It’s a lot easier for someone like me to say..ehh “I’m not sure if this is worth that amount of money compare to what own” -Know what I mean?.But I do have a small “deluxe” sample sized of #02 that I found from a GWP. That will probably last me a god while so I can decide if it is worth it. But, I can really only see myself buying one or maybe spacing them over a long amount of time if I really love them because of the price. I don’t even use the liquids I own daily. I’d worry it would go bad. Any idea on how long these last?
This shade looks to be a great one for my skintone! My only hesitation is that, like you put it, it would be nice if GA offered these in a smaller size at a significantly lower price ($40?), then yes, I would grab this one up. My concern would be that it being a liquid, it would go rancid before one got to ever use up even half a bottle.
Honestly, even if they halved the size, it would be a ton of product, and I could get down with the price not even being slashed by 50% (let’s go with the idea of buying in bulk = cheaper by the oz. vs. buying in a small size) since it’s going to be so hard to finish an entire bottle.
Very true! Perhaps $45 then?
I definitely think $40-45 would be “reasonable” with respect to GA as a brand, lol, maybe not so much to us 😉
Sorry for the second post on this one Christine! But, I like this. I’m going to add one to my wish list. It will give me something to look into ordering after surgery. I may have to shave my head or half-punk style! At least I can make it glimmer, lol! Since we have similar skintones, which one so far do you think you would choose if you had to go with one? 😀
I like 11 and 12 for mixing 🙂
Looks like a beautiful formula – and it looks great on you Christine.
Thanks, Genevieve!
I am loving that eye look on you!!
Thank you, Brenda!
The shade it’s self seems too orange to me for fairer skin but the texture is very nice! I would like to see #2 in this texture.
That would be awesome!
