Giorgio Armani Incognito (06) Eye Quattro Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Incognito (06)
Giorgio Armani Incognito (06) Eye Quattro Eyeshadow Palette ($60.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a new, permanent set of earthy neutral tones; three shades had definite shimmer, while the deepest shade had more of a natural matte finish–not flat but not shimmery either. The four shades complemented each other, and I felt like the pop of green added dimension without being a punch of color (and so it still ended up being a more “wearable” take on green). Giorgio Armani’s newest formula has a much more silicone-heavy feel: velvety, smooth, less dusty, and not as thin, which I think is an upgrade overall.

Incognito #1
Incognito #1 is a muted, medium-dark beige with soft, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had a soft, smooth consistency that was a smidgen dusty and sheered out a touch when applied to bare skin (better over primer). It had good color payoff that stayed on well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Incognito #2
Incognito #2 is a dark, sooty brown with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered well to bare skin and blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was smooth to the touch, firmer without being stiff, and had some slip–velvety in a way. It lasted well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Incognito #3
Incognito #3 is a murky, medium olive green with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a creamier consistency, which I found made it harder to apply evenly initially, though I was able to build it up and blend out the product enough that it looked opaque and even. This shade applied better with fingertips or with a dampened brush. It wore well for eight hours before it started to fade on my lid.

Incognito #4
Incognito #4 is a medium, golden taupe with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had rich color coverage that applied evenly to my lid and blended out with little effort along the edges without losing its intensity. The consistency was soft, lightly creamy, not too firm or too soft in the pan, and easy to work with. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before starting to fade on me.

#4 is especially pretty. I really like all the colors.
I love these colours but shudder to think what the price will be in Canada and for something that is just a B+ (not a bad grade but for this price, it should be an A+). It puts me in mind a LOT of a Smashbox trio I got last year – “Showmance” – with a dark brown (a colour I have a-plenty) tossed in.
Okay – I checked and these are $75 in Canada so not quite as faint-inducing as I thought (hey there, Tom Ford – are your ears burning?) but still awfully steep for something so dupe-able.
I love this combination (especially the green), but I can easily dupe it from my stash. I wouldn’t spend $60 on this palette.
This is a beautiful autumnal quad of cohesive shades that work so well together. However, I have lots of dupes for most of these shades as I love the colour combinations. It is also expensive and I think there are more inexpensive options for this quad.
So I’m thinking you folks are looking toward autumn (we had at least a foot of snow yesterday and spring can’t come soon enough for me after a day of shovelling out) – autumn is my favourite season!
Pretty, but these colors are easily duped for less money.
This little quad colour selection is very interesting. Very chic. I hope this sets the tone for 2019, I would love to see more green in general in palettes!
I love this combination of shades although I am sure I have many similar colors. The brown does swatch “sooty” – not sure I would want that. But the green looks unique enough and I really love Armani eyeshadows. You say the formula seems better than prior quads and that’s a huge plus for me!
The price point is reasonable as well but I may wait for a Sephora rouge discount for 20% off since its permanent.
Thanks for the review!
