Weekend plans: I’m spending time with my bestie this weekend because she’s having her first baby! Can’t wait to meet the little lady, but for the moment she’s still taking her sweet time 😉
Do you like gardening?: Do potted plants count? I don’t really have a garden! I’m pretty good at keeping fern and succulent plants alive though :p
Unless it’s food, he doesn’t really seem to care, LOL! We put stuff on him all the time, and he’s like, “Eh? Oh, you again, doing your weird things…” Now, if it was food, he’s more like a crocodile.

Haul: Didn’t buy anything, but a friend of mine is an internship in Chanel (marketing), and she got free leftovers (unopened and unused!) from a shoot. So she gave me a glossimer (Amour), an Illusion d’Ombre (Abstraction) and a cream blush (Inspiration). Talk about luck! 🙂

Weekend plans: To the market and perhaps a little experimenting with food. Otherwise, a lot of tea and a lot of writing.
Do you like gardening?: Love! My grandmother on my father’s side would spend every day in her garden. I spent the summer with them every other year and just loved it. This huge section of their backyard just felt like an overflowing garden. I’d help water, pull out weeds. I just came to associate gardening and the smell of roses (there were many) with her.
I live in an apartment so I only have a patio and the inside to work with but I’ll take it. My parents live in my grandparent’s old home now so I have an internal happiness in just knowing that garden is still there.
What type of garden did your grandmother tend? All roses? Sounds so idyllic!

Haul: Not much this week- but I’m hoping to change that over the weekend!! Sephora Brush #56, LORAC spray tan- was soo cheap!!! It applied so nicely, I really enjoy it!
Weekend plans: Hoping the mall.. I got a pair of shoes that don’t fit my feet so well, so I’m hoping to exchange them. Also having my brother-in-laws girlfriends (mouthful!!) birthday party in Atlantic City on Saturday, so that should be fun!
Gardening: I LOVE the idea of it. I have always wanted to plant a garden in my backyard. But I get so squeamish with the bugs!!!

Weekend plans: Recover from my beastly sinus infection…. 🙁 If I’m not too sick, I want to visit my oldest friend and her newborn baby, but I don’t know if she’ll be comfortable with a sick person near her young child!
Do you like gardening?: I have a love/hate relationship with gardening. I love how pretty gardens are, and I love to harvest herbs and fruit and veggies from my garden! But I really loathe how my gardens quickly turn into jungles if I don’t weed constantly. We are attempting to beat back the weeds and re-seed the lawn, but it’s a challenge. The woes of owning an ancient house with equally ancient gardens and weeds that choose to run amok…
And… forgot the rest of my haul, which includes 2 Real Techniques brushes (blush and powder brush), Shiseido oil-free facial SPF 42 and BITE high pigment lip pencil in Pomegranate.

This weeks haul – Chanel Tisse Venitien e/s quad – ordered from the wonderful Selfridges in the UK. I love it SO MUCH – the formula is smooth, soft and blendable with no fallout and vibrant color. Most importantly, it reminds me of Dior Bonne Etoile, which i wasnt able to purchase and have lemmed for so long. =)))
I also ordered Too Faced Melted lip color in Fuschia, MUFE HD pressed powder, 3 Salux cloths, 2 Baby Foot peels, Bite Beauty lip color in Satsuma and Maybelline Hibiscus Haven l/g to go on top. Anastasia Brow Power set with a brush, Taupe brow powder and clear brow gel and the Blonde Brow Wiz pencil to go with it. I got a TON of free samples

Weekend Plans: My temple is having a holi festival tomorrow so my friend and I are going. And then sunday I’m taking my friend’s graduation pictures for her. 🙂
Do you like gardening: My family and I loveeeeee gardening. We do it every year. We have two vegetable patches in our back yard and we usually plant tomatoes, peppers, beans, and a bunch of other stuff. We also plant tons of flowers and plants. It’s a thing we love to do together. 🙂 And we all just got lucky with super green thumbs, haha.

Haul: nadda. Rather, I have been forcing myself to use my Naked2 palette all week. Why, because I’ve been eyeballing Naked3 for some reason after dismissing it because I never use N2. If I use N2, I can somehow justify buying N3..LOL
Weekend plans: field prep for crops if we don’t end up with too much rain
Gardening: reluctant flower gardener.. our gardens are massive and require far too much work and maintenance. I do eventually want to add a greenhouse structure to my house though. I am super particular about the food I eat, mostly vegetarian, but occasionally eat fish and some dairy, and would prefer to grow my own food. We have a huge vegetable garden every year, but our growing season is fairly short and limited. I am more interested and motivated by gardens that produce food, but admire and enjoy planning flower gardens.
He’s so ashamed, I tell ya!

Haul: Nothing this week, but over the past few weeks I’ve actually completed my NARS eyeshadow “list”! Between eBay & the sale at Sephora, I managed to pick up everything at a great price, with the exception of the Summer shadows, & Bavaria, which I plan to order next week. Actually, I did manage to grab L’Oréal Infallibles in With a Twist & Strawberry Blonde, which came in last weekend!
Plans: Just the usual stuff around home… I’m trying to save money for our annual trek to Disneyland mid-May!
Gardening: I wish I had a plot of land to try my hand at it… I would love to plant my own herbs & vegetables!

Haul: I had fun at Sephora this week. Philosophy Take a Deep Breath SPF 30 moisturizer, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, OCC Anti-feathered lip liner, OCC lip tar in Hollywood, not to mention in store samples of Boscia Tsubaki beauty oil, Glamglow thirsty mud face mask, and Clinique All about eyes rich. I also got online samples of the FAB Ultra Repair Cream, Glamglow super mud mask, Tom Ford black orchid perfume, and I used the URBANEYE code online for the urban decay deluxe sample.
Weekend Plans: I’m going for a gas run Saturday, and I’m working OT on Sunday to help finance a roadtrip with my mom next month.
I can do planter boxes and stuff, but I have an irrational fear of anything that resembles a wasp (including honey bees) so large flowery gardens aren’t exactly an option for me. I like a 3 box set up, one for flowers to attract pollinators and 2 for fresh herbs.

I tried to talk myself out of getting a second bottle, but the color is so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist!
Weekend plans: I have to plow through a ton of research for a paper I’m writing. It’s about violence and sexual assault against Native women.
Do you like gardening?: I would love to garden, but NYC isn’t the best place for that! Lol. I have this fantasy of creating a community garden in my neighborhood.

Plans: No idea! It’s suppose to rain, or just sprinkle seeing as rain is rare. We’ll see. Maybe another Ikea trip since it’s our favorite family outing. Plus, we love buying the cheap stuffed rats. My son loves them! He runs around with them in his mouth.
Gardening: I’m with you on this, Christine. My father is a retired gardener and his work was beautiful. You could tell just how much he loved it and how it calmed him. I’m still trying to get my hubby to work with my dad to plant flowers and trees in our yards. Everything is just dirt. It’s depressing.
Does your father still garden at home now that he’s retired?
Sadly no. My parents moved to an apartment with no yards. I told my dad he could come over, and tend to our garden, but we still have nothing. My dad has gone so long without gardening, he’s out of shape, and would rather watch AMC all day. 🙁

Do you like gardening? I don’t like the really heavy, hard work of weeding (we have creeping Charlie and no matter how much we weed and mulch, it seems to be winning) and the heavy, hard digging but I do like planting and also I love the results…seeing things peeking up from the soil and blooming and growing and greening up is so rewarding.
Now you make me want to try the Caviar CC!
Haul: Very smal e.l.f. haul – liquid blush in Headliner, lipstick in Red Carpet. I originally just wanted to grab the lip exfoliator, but it turns out I can’t look at a display without walking away with at least three things. 9_9 Nearly grabbed the new Maybelline Color Tattoos until I realized the one was Seashore Frosts under a different name. Very undershanded, Maybelline!
Weekend plans: Clean house, get some jogging in, and get everything in order before we leave next Friday for Florida (SO MUCH PACKING). Also, I may go tanning. I was hoping with the sun we’ve been having I’d at least be an NW13 by now, but all the rain and cold this week has knocked me back into NW10 range. 🙁 I need to get a “base burn” in before I jump into Florida’s pummeling UV else I’m going to spend the entire week mascarading as a lobster!

Oh, Fire + Ice! (Your poppy lippie) I think the original was in 1953 + one of my mother’s favorites. (She would be 103.) I think it’s also a biography for Charles Revson that I read long ago. The ad campaign for F + I was Avedon shot + also a real classic. The Hx of cosmetics is as fascinating as the products.
Haul: 2 Estee lauder colour envy sculpting lipsticks in defiant coral and (forget what its called and can’t be bothered to run upstairs to find out!) a bright pink. Love ’em both. Also got a couple of the Chanel cream eyeshadows too.
Weekend plans: Got friends we haven’t seen in a while coming for lunch and hubby is doing his famous eye fillet steak in pomegranate molasses and cranberries (trust me, its Delish!) with salad. Trying to think of something nice n easy for dessert but brain is constipated!
Do I like gardening?: Lets put it this way: i am known in these parts as ‘yellow fingers’ as I have a special knack for killing off any plants that come my way – my friends/family all know not to give me a plant of any description as it’ll be dead in a week. Dunno why…..perhaps its my overwatering or under watering skills….

Haul: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette & Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in 123 Soleil = Really happy with both purchases. The palette smells so good! *-* The lipstick shade is a great everyday coral color and comfortable to wear.

I would like to plant my own flowers one day and I probably will, but I’m also grossed out about the different types of pests I’ll encounter.

Nearly everything! LOL
She likes all kinds of flowers, but her big passion is for orchids. She learned how to take care of them years ago and now she’s a pro. ^^
