Fenty Beauty Eclipse 2-In-1 Glitter Release Eyeliners Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Later, Crater
Fenty Beauty Later, Crater Eclipse 2-In-1 Glitter Release Eyeliner ($20.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a light, golden brown with warm undertones and flecks of gold sparkle. When rubbed to reveal the sparkle, it became a bit less warm-toned, more gilded and sparkly. This one transformed the most for me to my eye. The consistency was very fluid, which made it less easy to control, though it was opaque and long-wearing (10 hours with minimal fallout).

Formula Overview
$20.00/0.13 oz. - $153.85 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to transform from "low-key metallic" to "high-impact sparkle" after rubbing lightly across the dried-down eyeliner. The texture is incredibly fluid, which worked well for getting really smooth, opaque lines that went on forever, but it was harder to control the lines themselves. Someone who prefers or is used to a brush-type applicator and a more fluid eyeliner formula may have no trouble but those who aren't may find it more challenging. They were incredibly rich in pigment, so any wobbles are extremely obvious and harder to correct. I recommend waiting a couple of minutes to ensure the eyeliner is completely dry before rubbing. They were long-wearing--they were going strong after 10 hours of wear--with minimal fallout over time.

Nepturnt
Fenty Beauty Nepturnt Eclipse 2-In-1 Glitter Release Eyeliner ($20.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep black base with fine, emerald green shimmer and larger medium and deep green sparkle. When rubbed, the eyeliner went from an opaque, deep, emerald green sheen to a brighter, warmer forest green with a stronger, sparkly finish. This shade took 30 to 45 seconds to dry down (I even thought it was dry, but alas, it was not when I went to rub!). I would recommend waiting a couple of minutes before rubbing to reveal the sparkles, just in case. It lasted for 10 hours and had almost no fallout.

Alien Bae
Fenty Beauty Alien Bae Eclipse 2-In-1 Glitter Release Eyeliner ($20.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep black base with flecks of light blue, navy blue, and greenish-blue shimmer and sparkle. The close-up photos reveal that they are actually metallic initially, and the act of rubbing seems to reveal more of the shimmer and fade the base (not dramatically). This one seemed to have the most metallic finish upon dry-down (but before rubbing). It had opaque coverage that lasted for ten hours with minimal fallout.

These 3 shades are so gorgeous Christine! Thanking you for reviewing them and putting out so many reviews so fast this holiday season!!
I hope to add one of these to my Christmas wishlist to try! Maybe Nepturnt or Later, Crater… can’t decide which one yet, lol! Later Crater for softer looks, and Nepturnt for something more dramatic! I wish they would release some sort of plum/purple shade too since it seems the formula on these is really nice.
Nepturnt and Alien Bae are really pretty. Cute names, too.
Serious question – even if a product like this looked great, are there a lot of people who would buy it and use it? Many are averse to rubbing the delicate skin on their eyes in the first place, aren’t they? And we do that enough when removing eye makeup and mascara. Or are products like this more attractive to younger people who may not really be thinking about this because they haven’t experienced any signs of aging?
I’m heading towards my late 30s but I’m genetically blessed to have great skin with really no signs of aging and I LOVE sparkly things. But I don’t want to take that for granted because my skin is for sure going to start changing at some point. So even though I look way younger, I’d be hesitant to use a product that includes rubbing around the eyes. Though I’m sure you can just apply with no extra rub, or use it occasionally only. No one said you have to rub or use this eyeliner every day!
Rubbing is no more than taking a brush and lighting moving it back and forth… something that many of us do every day to apply eye makeup! 🙂 It’s not like you have to rub vigorously or anything.
That is very neat!!
Yessss! Rihanna can have my money ?
Is rubbing them to revieal the sparkle part of the usage instructions? These are all pretty neat. Liking today’s Fenty.
Yes, that’s why they’re called 2-in-1! 🙂
Oooh! Nepturnt and Later, Crater are definitely interesting! I was playing with these last week, and almost did buy Nepturnt. The long drydown on the back of my hand made me worry that if I didn’t hold very still for several minutes, I’d wind up with this all over my lid. Which was why I didn’t get it.
Later,Crater is my favorite product from the Fenty holiday collection.Im hoping to get it and one of the other 2 shades.I haven’t decided which one yet!
I didn’t think I would like these, but that Crater one is gorgeous! It could be a totally work-safe neutral with a twist, I love it.
I purchased Later Crater shortly after its release. I like it for my lower lash line. It is very fluid with prolonged dry down . When I first applied it, it looked much like my foundation shade. I am hoping, that with more practice, I will learn to love it!
These are all beautiful and with really good reviews. I hadn’t really paid any attention to these as I don’t use eyeliner very often and with my hooded lids I figured they would be a recipe for disaster but hadn’t thought to try them on my lower lash line. With that in mind I am going to pick one up and give it a try. I am thinking Nepturnt to satisfy my green desire!
Stunning, stunning and stunning! These are all so beautiful that it’s hard to pick a favourite.
later crater is so unique !!!
i’d love for them to come out with a red shade with gold sparkle .
Nepturnt and Alien Bae are really sophisticated and pretty. I might actually be able to pull this off.
Ugh I don’t know if I should get Nepturnt or Alien Bae. Why do they have to be so pretty?!
