I saw this online and decided I wasn’t interested. Then I went to Ulta and saw the ‘A la mode’ eye palette. The colors look so different in person. Now I am definitely interested!

Ahh, I’m really torn on the eyeshadow palette – most of the colours look right up my alley, but the three paler ones on the right are probably too dark for my weirdly dark eyelids.

I got this the “A La Mode” eyeshadow palette on Monday at my local Ulta, and am really liking it for fun spring/summer colors. The shadows go on smoothly with minimal fallout for me, the glitter is not obnoxious, and the fuschia and deep blue shadows in the third row work surprisingly well with the copper and peach shadows in the first two rows. The magnetic closure seems pretty strong, but I still might wrap a rubber band around it if I was going to just toss it in my bag and go. No need to carry it for touch-ups, though, the shadows last beautifully.

A few of the shadows in that palette – Soleil, Cote D’Azure and De La Mer – seriously caught my eye and look gorgeous but Too Faced always gets me like this – one or 2 shadows in a 9 pan palette that I love and others I don’t love or are so duped in their other palettes – so I will try to resist. BTW, has anyone else seen that Too Faced has redone their original “Natural Eye” 9 pan palette? They took out Nude Beach (good move, as it had uncontrollable glitter fallout and almost no pigmentation) but also 2 great shades – Velvet Revolver and Cocoa Puff!!! Now I’m afraid to use up Velvet Revolver!

I swatched the new Natural palette at my local Ulta yesterday, and, even though I’m not the biggest fan of Natural/Nude palettes, absolutely loved the colors and the texture of the shadows. Now I am sorely tempted.

I really hope Sephora picks this up because I live in Canada and it’s the easiest way for me to buy Too Faced! 😀 I neeeed “A la mode!” I wish the brow palette came in a darker shade too, since I have black hair and brunette just looks way too silly on my eyebrows. 🙁

Ah! I’m loving that the packaging is looking a little more substantial than typical from Too Faced. Even though I’ve lost track of all the different palettes they’ve released, I do love them. The colors in the first one are beautiful, great rich orange which you don’t see too often. Rivera and St Tropez look a bit too similar for the same palette though

I’m the same….just when I think “Okay, I’ve hit eye shadow Nirvana and have all the shades I could possibly want” (as happened when I recently got Cargo Yukon), I see something new like this and the itch starts all over again. With lip and cheek products, you’re pretty much limited to pink/red/berry/peach (unless you work in Cirque du Soleil) but with eye shadows, ANY colour of the spectrum is both available and “crave-able”. And so that’s why you can never have too many eyeshadows (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)

I returned the eye palette when I came home and discovered that several shades are repromotes from past LE Too Faced palettes. Plus, the top left hand shade was way too chalky. 🙁

The Ala Mode palette is gorgeous but definitely too warm for me to get much use out of it. Really love that bronzer kit, though. Too Faced is one of the few brands that does a good bronzer for lighter skin tones. 🙂

I love the eyeshadow palette but I’m getting tired of buying Too Faced palettes, using a couple of colours TO DEATH and then being unable to replace them without buying a whole new palette which would be pointless because most of my pans are still pretty full! I wish they did single shades of at least some of them. Also, maybe it won’t be identical but Monaco looks very very similar to Fetch from the Pretty Rebel palette (which I have and love). The near duplication of shades and having different names is starting to bug me.

While I love the look of the Too Faced products, most of them anyways, and the A La Mode palette looks really beautiful, I am just not that impressed by the quality of the shadows. I swatched this palette in Ulta the other day and the pigmentation for the three lightest shades leaves much to be desired. Cannes also seemed like it would have fallout and is not as “rich” in color as I would want it to be. The price is definitely not bad but I have a few other TF palettes that I never use because the pigmentation is just not there and the colors don’t last on me (and I always use primer!). I want to love this but I just can’t. 🙁

I received the brow pallette yesterday and I love the black case the only thing I did not like about it is that there is no drawer for the stencils, they are in a cardboard sleeve kept in front of the mirror. oh….I would have loved the highlighter to be an ivory color as opposed to pink.

I always read your makeup blogs but never commented lol anyways I bought nude and coral today and I love how they feel on your lips, go on smooth, and stay glossy!
