Too Faced Coral Fire La Creme Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches
Too Faced Coral Fire La Creme Lipstick
Too Faced Coral Fire La Creme Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “coral red.” It’s a vibrant, slightly pink-leaning, medium coral with a luminous sheen. Givenchy Croisiere Coral (310) (LE, $36.00) is less pink. Urban Decay Protest (P, $22.00) is similar, slightly warmer. Chanel Pygmalion (LE, $34.00) is a touch brighter. Guerlain Nahema (P, $35.00) is pinker. Chanel Genial (LE, $34.00) is pinker. Buxom Two-Timer (P, $21.00) is lighter, less pink. See comparison swatches.
The color was incredibly rich with full color coverage, while the texture was lightweight, emollient, and very comfortable to wear. The formula was lightly creamy, so the color glided on easily without tugging or pulling at the lips, and I felt like it went on so smoothly that it made my lips look better than they actually were–that’s a sign of a truly fantastic lip product. Sometimes the La Creme formula wears away somewhat faster than the average lipstick, but Coral Fire held on for four and a half hours and was nicely hydrating the entire time when worn.

It’s super flattering on you! Plus the colour is so versatile!
Thanks, Christine!
Love the Too Faced lipsticks! This color is so pretty and right up my alley! Thanks for the review and swatches. 🙂
No prob, Sara!
If a shade finally makes me cave in and try this range, THIS WOULD BE THE ONE! Thanks for putting it on my radar, Christine! You look absolutely stunning with this shade!
My pleasure, Sunny!
How do you compare the formula of this with Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick? I’m in love with UD but this has some colors I want so badly 😀
Revolution has a wetter feel, not as creamy – thinner in a way? Like Revolution is closer to a gel, whereas La Creme is creamy.
Hmm. As recently as this past summer, I’d been contemplating trying a coral lipstick, if I could find the right one.
I do like Too Faced, but, in spite of its name, this one looks too muted for me. I think I need a more vibrant shade.
Aww — too bad!
I may yet find the right coral for me, but in the meantime, MAC Impassioned is close enough!
A perfect day shade for you! I’ve got a couple of lippies in this formula but can’t seem to rock them out and they have crappy staying power on me so I’m ambivalent. This colour is ultra flattering on you though.
Yeah, they tend to wear away more quickly than others, which is their biggest downside!
Christine, this color looks GREAT on you!!! Are going to be reviewing anymore of these lipsticks? I’m kinda interested in trying these…but wasn’t sure how they were. But after seeing this one..it looks so hydrating and nice. Also, I know this has nothing to do with this post but I was wondering of you were ever going to get the BH Cosmetics lipstick to review??? 🙂
Hey Alana,
I don’t think I have any more that I’ve photographed/swatched but there might be one more lurking in my photos. I don’t use BH Cosmetics, sorry! 🙁
If only my lips weren’t “raspberry pigmented”. I can’t wear any coral because they all end up looking magenta/fuchsia on me. Any recommendations?
Have you tried applying a more neutral/beige lip liner first?
I don’t lipliner because I find it to be super drying 🙁
If you have dried UD’s lip pencils, they’re really great for those who find other pencils too drying!
I love a good coral, and this one is stunning! Plus the formula sounds amazing, which just makes it better. I’ll have to check it the next time I’m at Sephora.
Definitely give it a look-see!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have MAD LOVE for these La Creme lipsticks! They just feel so good and still offer me beautiful colors! The range is great too! Sometimes just to use my other products, I have to like force myself to not wear these!!
Hahaha! That good, eh? 🙂
I love the smell of these. They smell like lemon cake to me. It’s faint, not obnoxious, and really pleasant. I agree about them being emollient, they feel like a lip balm.
Glad you like ’em, Jeania!
Woah, this one is going strrrrraight on the wish list! Damn you, Christine!!! 🙂
Oops 🙂
I love this shade! The Too Faced lipsticks are fantastic. I want to get a few more.
What shades do you have?
I love the La Creme lippies, so I may have to pick this up!
What are your favorite shades?
That color is lovely! it looks really good on you
Thanks, Teresa!
This shade has been on my wish list for awhile now.
Still on it then? 🙂
Yes. 😉
Thanks for a great review – the picture of your lips with and without the lipstick is very effective.
No prob!
I wore Coral Fire for my wedding. Perfect color! It had a beautiful texture, and it showed up great in pictures. I think I reapplied once throughout the day. 🙂
Aww! That’s fantastic – great color choice!
Loveeeeee coraly colors but I may skip on this one because I just got Coral Chic from Maybelline (I dot know if the hidra extreme lipstick line is sold in the USA) and looks almost the same but Coral Chic is a bit less pinky looking
This color is gorgeous on you.
OMG!! It’s so perfect!! *_*
Thanks, I’ve been waiting for this review! Now, I know I definitely should purchase this for the holidays for myself!
Me lo apunto ya en la wishlist, me encanta!!
I’m really interested in trying this lipstick. I’m a sucker for corals!!!! ^^
How would you say this compares to MAC’s See Sheer?
See Sheer is more muted, sheerer, glossier, browner.
