Too Faced Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Too Faced Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses Palette
Too Faced Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses Palette ($34.00 for 0.55 oz.) includes three eyeshadows, two bronzers, and a lip gloss. You may recognize the eyeshadows from Too Faced’s The Chocolate Bar. Both bronzers have routinely been featured in other palettes and are available individually as well. The lipgloss is a new formula called “La Creme Lip Gloss” that will officially debut next spring. The palette has a strong, chocolaty scent, so if you don’t dig sweet chocolate smells, you may want to look at other Too Faced offerings this holiday.
I think they could have chosen a more versatile set of shades, as I found the three odd to combine; the matte didn’t play as well with the shimmery shades, and when I tried to layer, it tended to look a little powdery/chalky. I think perhaps a more satiny finish for the lightest shade would have helped for combining the three, and if the darkest shade was darker, you could get more versatility out of these three. I just don’t love the way this is done, though the quality is good with the exception of the lip gloss, which was a total miss for me.
White Chocolate is a pale, light beige with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a soft, silky consistency that had good color payoff without being powdery. However, when it layers or blends with the more shimmery shades like Creme Brulee and Haute Chocolate, it seems to make them appear a little chalky at times. I think the thinner texture (in comparison to the other two shades) also makes it less easily blended with them. It wore well for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Creme Brulee is a brightened, medium-dark gold with a frosted, metallic finish. It is a little drier and thinner compared to the version in the Chocolate Bar, though the pigmentation was still good. It wore well for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Haute Chocolate is a meidum-dark, bronzy brown with a frosted sheen and warm, reddish undertones. It had good color payoff, and the texture was soft and blendable, though it wasn’t as buttery or as dense as the version in the Chocolate Bar. It wore well for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Chocolate Soleil (Bronzer) is a medium-dark, tan brown with warm, yellow-ish undertones and a satin-matte finish. It’s a permanent product in Too Faced’s range, and it’s in nearly every holiday palette from them this year (and was often included in their various palette/sets released in the past). The texture is soft, silky, lightly powdery, but blendable and fairly pigmented. It lasts about eight hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Snow Bunny (Bronzer) is a warm, light-medium gold with orange tones and a frosted sheen. It had a slightly thinner texture, but it was still smooth and blendable on the skin. The more frosted sheen did emphasize pores somewhat, so that may be a deal-breaker. I like it better dusted lightly over Chocolate Soleil as a highlighter, as that lighter application helps to minimize how much gets emphasized on the skin. It wears seven and a half hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Naked Dolly (La Creme Lip Gloss) is a pink-peach with a cream finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, but it settled into lip lines and applied unevenly. The texture was somewhat thick, and it was tacky on the lips. The gloss lasted two hours, and it was neither drying nor hydrating. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I really like the eye shadows, the gold and the chocolate are pretty! The lip gloss would work best on paler skin tones I guess.
The formula of the gloss was disappointing to me 🙁
I actually really like the fact that everything is neutral in this! What can I say.. there are very few all “neutral/bronzey” palettes!
I had the exact opposite reaction, lol!
I find most palettes tend to run mostly warm but with a cooler shade tossed in randomly, while a cooler palette almost always has a bronze or warm gold thrown in. This palette isn’t for me, but I could see it working well for someone younger, who doesn’t really do anything too elaborate in the way of eye makeup.
wow, me tooo…this is SO boring!
I’ve already got all this stuff in other palettes (Chocolate Bar, Enchanted Glamourland)! And the lip colour is totally NO for me. I never quite understand why they call Snow Bunny a “bronzer”….I’m pretty pale and even I can’t see using this to “bronze” or to contour….if anything, it’s a highlighter or luminizer unless you use a slightly larger eyeshadow brush to pick up the darker colours in it. But for someone who wants a wearable palette for travel and for quick looks, this would be a nice palette, I guess.
It reads more like “one look” to me – I feel like you just can’t get much variety out of it. Everything is so, so warm and gold/orange once applied. A smaller, well-edited palette can be great for quick trips, but there aren’t a lot of combinations here.
This seems so basic. Pass.
It’s definitely dupable!
I agree, does not seem versatile! I like the idea of three eyeshadows, two bronzers and a lipgloss as a set though!
I think if they had done very light, medium, very dark, plus maybe a cool-to-neutral blush paired with a warm-to-neutral blush, it might have worked.
Hm… What this palette (and the review) have done is make me want the Chocolate Bar palette instead, LOL! 😀 mind you, a palette with bronzers and a milky pink lipgloss is not, er, precisely my cup of tea anyway 😉 You look pretty and glowing in the pictures!
Yeah, all I could think was that I’d personally skip this and just go for The Chocolate Bar… but like you, bronzers aren’t exactly captivating for me, lol!
The quality seems okay, but the shades don’t wow me.
The quality is good, but I think it’s dupable/lacks some versatility. You also have to love some bronzer to make it worth it!
How pretty is the packaging? 😀 A shame about the lip gloss though, but otherwise it’s a really nice palette.
I hope any other shades they plan to release in spring are a lot better!
It looks so pretty! The package look so sweet and beautiful pictures 🙂
Glad you like it!
Christine, what are you wearing on your lips for the bronzer photos? It looks gorgeous!
I think it’s the shimmery version of Marshmallow Bunny!
Yes- SO glad you asked. The shimmery gold toned lip gloss is just gorgeous (not the milky pink that came with the palette.) If you remember it to be different than the shimmer version of Marshmallow Bunny please let me know!
I think the colors may be meath to complement any existing collection – I do find it too warm-toned if anything. I like these kinds of kits to be honest =]
Glad you liked the set!
Is it just me or does this seem like more of a Summer palette? This is SO warm toned, that someone as pale as myself would never be able to pull this off. I wish this had more color range.
It is very yellow-based!
This one is a pass for me. Too warm and shimmery 🙁
I don’t think it looks good on me, and I usually like warmer tones on me, but it’s too similar in undertone across all the shades so it actually washes me out!
This is a pass for me. I have the Chocolate Bar palette, so I have the eyeshadows. The Chocolate Soleil bronzer is too dark, I use Milk Chocolate. The lipgloss sounds pretty bad. I haven’t tried Snow Bunny, but I’d just buy it separately if I wanted to.
Easy skip!
The Snow Bunny bronzer is beautiful!
I wish it didn’t emphasize pores, though!
Your skin looks amazing. Those colors are really flattering on you Christine.
Thanks, Fabiola!
The lipgloss and eyeshadows look nice. I’m just bored of the collection as a whole since it’s the same colours in different containers, basically.
This looks like a great all-in-one nude palette.
Mmmmm, not wowed. I think I’d prefer it if the palette was a bit smaller (maybe without the spot for the gloss) and/or they’d included more eyeshadows. I might check out the Snow Bunny Bronzer.
Loving those earrings
Wow, could they have made a more boring palette
I actually love the lip color you’re wearing in the bronzer/highlighter pictures! Do you happen to remember what that was??
Too Faced Shimmering Naked Dolly
I don’t think I could ever justify purchasing a palette like this (especially since i JUST ordered the Chocolate Bar palette hah). It seems so basic and really only caters to one look. Which I guess is great for someone who only ever wears one look. I’m a girl who shamefully hoards “neutral” palettes but this one is a big pass.
hmm I’ll skip this one :/ I already have the bronzer and chocolate bar eyeshadow palette and I dont really like Snow Bunny so I can save the money for other holiday palettes 🙂
do you think you would review Under the Mistletoe? I know they are just a shimmery version of the regular la creme lipsticks but I wonder if the shimmer would affect the performance in any ways. thanks as always!
wow havent seen this before but I need this palette in my beauty box! Thanks for sharing xxx
To me it feels a bit like something you’d get when you first start wearing makeup. It’s pretty, butI think I have enough of colours like this. I do however want The Chocolate Bar, it has a lot more options, and that is what I look for in a palette, not a one, two or maybe three look one, If you get what I mean. 🙂
This is an easy pass for a makeup junkie with a huge collection of palettes, such as myself. However, this is a perfect gifting palette for a friend or relative who is either brand new to makeup and wants a variety of products all conveniently in one palette, or that person who just prefers wearing classic neutral toned makeup for both daytime and nighttime occasions yet still wants to look glam. I have a younger cousin who is a senior in high school and just starting to get into makeup. This is a perfect introductory palette for her; the colors are appropriate for her age and she can learn how to use all the different types of products in the kit. Plus she has a beautiful golden tan complexion that these colors will compliment nicely. I will more than likely get this as a gift for her during the holiday season.
