Formula Overview
$36.00/0.12 oz. - $300.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "medium to full coverage" with a "velvety matte finish" that lasts for 10 hours without "bleeding, feathering, or creasing." They had semi-opaque to opaque color payoff in a single layer with a very lightweight feel--more of a velvety matte but thin (not in a bad way, as it wasn't clingy) and had a medium-firm feel in the tube. Most shades applied more evenly and were more forgiving of lip lines/lip texture than I expected, which was a nice surprise.
They didn't cling on uncomfortably, which felt good, but the wear time was nowhere near 10 hours--four to five hours with a few shades coming in at six hours, but it wasn't a particularly long-wearing/stellar wear kind of formula.
The previous formula was a denser, more velvety matte with slightly more weight and body to it, so it had higher coverage in a single stroke but was more noticeable on. In comparison, the previous formula also had a touch more shine, despite being labeled matte. The ingredient lists are quite different with the new formula being comprised of several silicone-based ingredients in the beginning of the list.
It seemed to have a faint sweet, vanilla-like scent but no discernible taste.

Just why? This was such a terrific formula, not clunky and old fashioned either. Suit up is my jam.. anything resembling UD Backtalk.
I’m wondering how the new EL lipsticks are in the cream and hi luster formula. I have my eye on a few, but if they don’t review well, I will be skipping these. I won’t buy anything unless it’s an A or A- these days.
Wouldn’t want the world to change in the direction Estee Lauder does!
Suit up is my kind of colour, think I might get it.
Change The World is a gorgeous shade for autumn/winter. I do believe that it has some much nicer dupes, however.
I really like the Change the World colour – it is very similar to the Flower Beauty’s Chestnut Red that I have been wearing a lot lately. However I am not so fond of the price and the rating for that price. I have found in the past that EL’s lipsticks just don’t last very long on me either.
