Yes — “no makeup” makeup. My SO prefers a more “unmade” look, and I’m happy to oblige since it means less effort and maintenance for me. I love my wild lipstick colors, but save me from the annoyance of having to touch them up on days where I’m just chilling … no thanks!
Since weekends are for playing with makeup, I don’t have a particular go to makeup look. It’s whatever I feel like depending on what makeup I want to show some love. It may be minimal, glam or experimental. Depends on my mood!
On weekends, I tend to wear lighter more natural make up, i.e. very light complexion products, blush, mascara and a lip balm.
Unless I go out to dinner, an event etc. , minimal makeup on the face, which in my case means just a tinted sunscreen/ moisturizer (DE, Suntegrity 5-in-1). Monochromatic eye look (I might add a topper for an illuminating effect, like the new Laura Mercier Caviar Chrome Liquid Eye Colour), subtle eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. I try to give my skin a break from makeup during the weekend 🙂
No. I tend to either wear makeup or go without. Weekends have no bearing on this.
It depends on what I’m doing. It can be anything from natural to 90s!
No; I just wear “appropriate” makeup for whatever I’m doing, regardless of what day of the week it is. That said, if I’m actually leaving home, but not doing anything particular, I may experiment with different combinations of base products, just to see how they work together, and/or hold up. I do typically do this on Saturdays, though, because I take my daughter to her Social Skills group, which means I’m doing a bit of walking around outdoors, but I don’t really care if my makeup breaks down…
Since my skin has been acting right these days on the weekend I am just doing mascara and brows with a tinted gloss. It feels great and I have been literally waiting years to roll like this!
I just don’t do anything on weekends, because usually it just means indoor and chill and reading and meeting up with friends who don’t care about how I look.
No, not really. About the closest I get to any sort of “weekend” look is that I (finally!) do try to tone it down a bit for when I go to my house of worship on Sunday. Mostly because I realized that this was probably not the most appropriate place for me to go to with my more OTT makeup looks. This is a more conservative area when it comes to makeup, and not everyone attending our meetings is one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and could be put off by my wearing something that falls way outside the norm for our locale.
I wear a lot more eye makeup on the weekend with bolder, more stylized looks. During the week I tend to do neutral eyes that can go to and from work depending on lipstick.
No. I work from home, so I wear whatever I feel like regardless of the day.
Recently I’ve been training for what’s called an “ultra walk” so most of the weekend I am sweaty and in no shape for makeup. But I do like to put a swipe of Tarte’s mermaid glitter gel on each cheekbone up toward my temple, so it’s mostly hidden by my glasses but still catches light. If I’m not walking for 5 hours that day, I’ll run Maybelline’s Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer through my brows, and whatever mascara I’ve got lying around.
No, my choice of whether to wear makeup or what makeup to wear is pretty much based on a whim. I have gone around my small town without makeup, although this tends to get me more looks since people are use to seeing me with makeup on. I have also walked around in what would be considered very bizarre makeup for the area I live in. I pretty much just do what I want and since I am retired, I only answer to myself.
My answer is similar to yours Deborah S. I wear what I want anytime. But it’s rare that I don’t at least wear a bright lip color! Gotta use all my makeup up lol
For me the days divide into ‘seeing clients’ or no client days – I play more with texture & color when I’m off-duty – the kinds of things that might be too distracting to wear when I’m working. Recently got some Stila shimmer/glitter & glows (thank you Marshall’s) that may or may not be ridiculous on my over-60 eyelids, but are very fun regardless. I’m glad to not care if the other Costco shoppers have to blink at all the light bouncing off me.
I rarely wear makeup on the weekends. If it’s a special thing, I might. This is when I might break out the bolder lipsticks I rarely wear in the office, so that’s always fun. But it’s rare enough that I don’t have a go-to.
Not now I don’t but when I was working, in corporate America, weekends were when I wore bright colors and a lot of shimmer. Workdays were brown and occasionally olive green
I’m retired so I only wear makeup if I’m going out, whatever day that may be. Neutral during the day and nice eye looks for the evening.
Nope – I wear makeup every single day and the weekends aren’t any different to a week day. What I wear really depends upon what I am wearing, the season and where I am going.
I don’t really have a weekend look. Probably only definable as less or lighter than workdays, or sometimes experimenting with colors or products I haven’t touched in awhile, maybe trying out some or another technique.
I Don’t. I like make up and I use it for everyday and for week end. It’s a different make up everyday, but I can’t stay without it.
I don’t use no make up make up, because I’ve little eyes and I’ve to make them bigger everyday, and therefore lipstick etc.
Not really.
We live on the coast, a few blocks from the ocean and walk everywhere; for groceries, lunches, dog walks… but I’m also not a Birkenstock and sock girl (unless I’m on a boat :).
I might tame the glow a bit and put on a more neutral eyes than typical, but it’s more my clothing is reflective of the weekend, than are my face and hair.
Nope. I’m full glam 7 days a week. I do work two jobs, but they’re pretty different. I just love doing my makeup and change up the products and colors all the time, without regard to what day it is. Depending on where I’m going, I MAY tone down or amp up the application, but it does’t affect what products and colors I choose.
