Lady’s Just a Little Less Diva

Dior Lady (039) Diorific Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is lightened coral-red with a natural sheen. And yes, it does look a lot like Dior Diva, which is just slightly darker. Edward Bess Midnight Bloom is redder. Guerlain Habit Rouge is darker. Guerlain Rouge Sensuel is sheerer and a smidgen lighter. MAC Cockney has golden shimmer. Chanel Cambon is a bit less warm.

This formula is supposed to be long-wearing with rich color payoff delivered in a single pass.  Lady is incredibly pigmented and yields opaque color coverage in one pass, just as advertised.  The texture is creamy enough to enable the lipstick to glide across lips without tugging or dragging, but it doesn’t feel heavy or slide over itself once it is applied.  When I tried Lady, it lasted for eight hours, and my lips felt lightly hydrated even after that time period.  Like other Dior lipsticks, this does have a light floral scent.

If I had an unlimited budget, I would pick up all of Dior’s holiday collection. I love how rich the Diorling lippielooks, but this one looks so wearable! Alas, I will have to pick one to put on my wishlist. Le sigh…

I agree, it took me a few seconds to figure out that that was the tube :-/ I looks very 1980’s too me- like shoulder pads and big hair. Not sure if that’s the image they were going for…

What sex toy are you referring to? I bought Marilyn. Then I took the old container which has the blue lines packaging and then switched it to this one…..looks so much better with some color. They should had done it with a red coloring stripes instead of all gold. Makes the container stand out a little better.

Oh, I’ve seen other pictures of people wearing and just loving these… They do look beautiful, but I cannot get past the very, very odd packaging! 🙁

What a unique lipstick…the packaging is very peculiar…not sure if I like it or not, however the color is nothing out of this world, it´s not ugly, it´s just not special. Christine, may I recommend the haute couleur lipstick line from Dior? they are amazing! my favorite lipsticks of all time, and this is coming from a die hard Chanel fan. The packaging of these is not odd like this one, they are classic Dior in that aspect, and they are not limited edition either, but the colors are so gorgeous! stunning, like pink cocotte and devilish pink! I would love if you decided to review them 🙂

I just mentioned this Dirorific in 020, as a Stocking Stuffer Idea on MakeupByMerry yesterday, Christine! It looks lovely on you. I would LOVE to find this at the bottom of my Christmas Stocking! Feels and looks gorgeous. xo
