Dior Fusion (764) Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky Eyeshadow
Dior Fusion (764) Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky Eyeshadow ($29.50 for 0.06 oz.) is a light-medium rosy pink with warm undertones and warmer gold sparkle. It had good pigmentation applied dry (though I also tried it damp, where it was smoother in appearance) and a glittery, but fairly smooth, texture that applied well to bare skin. For as much sparkle is in it, there was only a little bit of fall out after eight hours of wear. I had noticeable creasing after seven hours of wear. Dior Temptation (184) Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky Eyeshadow ($29.50 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark purple with warmer, pink undertones and a glittery, sparkling finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage with a drier, dustier texture that didn’t adhere as well to bare skin, and it was one of the weaker shades in the new formula. I would recommend using an adhesive base with this one to help amplify the color, but you could try it damp (I haven’t had anything happen to the surface of mine from using them damp). This shade wore well for seven hours before it creased a bit, though I had very little fallout. Sydney Grace Awakening (DC, $8.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). MAC Butterfly Party (LE, $32.50) is more shimmery (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Violet Argente #4 (Eye Color) (LE, ) is lighter (95% similar). Sydney Grace Sovereign Rain (PiP, $6.25)(90% similar). MAC Highly Charged (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Sydney Grace Abigail (Deep) (PiP, $6.25) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Grape (LE, $32.50) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Sydney Grace Midnight Amethyst (P, $6.25) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty TFX7 (LE, $36.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). KVD Beauty Lunacy (LE, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Viseart Agate (GPV2 #10) (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Vice (DC, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Glamethyst (P, $28.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Sydney Grace Awakening (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Dior Plum Tulle #3 (PiP, ) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). Dior Constellation (864) #4 (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). NABLA Cosmetics Delirium (PiP, $8.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). MAC Satellite Dreams (DC, $17.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Ciate Wicked (P, $24.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Badass #2 (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. Dior Gravity (094) Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky Eyeshadow ($29.50 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep, smoky purple with cooler shimmer and warmer undertones. It looked more like a deep gray in the pan, but it ended up swatching more purple, so that was interesting! Though I’m not rating it on damp usage (it doesn’t say it is a wet/dry formula), I did notice it was much smoother and more pigmented damp than dry with the dry application being mostly opaque and more noticeably glittery. On the lid, it was a little challenging to blend out the shade without it looking a bit patchy and uneven, so I would recommend using a primer with this one (and an adhesive base would be even better). The color started to crease after seven and a half hours of wear with minimal fallout. Anastasia Osiris (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NARS Debauched (Right) (DC, $25.00) is less shimmery, more muted, warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Half Truth (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Ardency Inn Purple Hearts (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). L'Oreal Purple Priority (758) (P, $7.99) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Starless Night (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Dominique Cosmetics Black Matter (PiP, ) is less shimmery, darker, more muted (85% similar). Sydney Grace Glee (P, $6.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). Tarte Graphic (LE, ) is less shimmery, warmer (85% similar). Make Up For Ever D830 Black Rose (P, $17.00) is less shimmery, warmer (85% similar). NARS L'Amour, Toujours L'Amour #12 (DC, $25.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). Formula Overview
Dior Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky Eyeshadow ($29.50 for 0.06 oz.) is supposed to be a metallic, shiny, pigmented powder eyeshadow that will mimic a “wet lid.” The texture was smooth, but I could feel the texture of the glitter and sparkle, as several shades are full of glittery bits. The good news was that the texture is also denser and creamier, which enabled the sparkles and glitters to bind better with the base. I noticed the sparkles would separate from the base when I would diffuse and blend out the edges, but the flecks tended to move rather than fall off the eye. The formula varied from semi-opaque to totally opaque. The eyeshadows wore six to seven hours on me before they started to crease, but I had very minimal fall out over time, though. I didn’t see any mention of using these wet, but I had no issues using it wet as well as dry, for reference (wet application was not considered for purposes of rating the products).
I’m not certain if these are limited edition or permanent, because Dior’s website doesn’t call them out as limited edition (as they did for their fall quints). I’m also not certain about what retailers will get these, because Dior is the only U.S. retailer I’ve seen carrying them, but they are available at a slew of international retailers: Selfridges, Harrods, John Lewis, Escentual, House of Fraser, and David Jones.

Yep, I have Natasha Golden Rose, one of my fave shadows ever, and I knew Fusion was a dupe, so will skip. But I like how Dior added in an elegant black case, mirror, and applicator for about the same price, whereas Golden Rose looks like it’s housed in a disposable plastic DS pillbox, with no mirror or applicator (ok, will stop ranting for now). I also LOVE Temptation and noticed that all of the close dupes are LE (of course! ) but after my Dior Capital of Lights disaster, I will only buy from a retailer with easy returns. Hoping Nordstroms, Macys, or Bloomingdales will get these
Golden Rose is like the less OTT sparkly version of Fusion!
Dear Makeup God, they are gorgeous, especially Dior Fusion (764) !!
It’s a very sparkly shade!
Gravity and Fusion, oh my! Love them both so much, but do have L’Oreal Purple Priority. Which I *never* remember to use, unfortunately. Because it really is a beauty, especially for bringing out the green in my eyes. So, I suppose that leaves just Fusion? Yet I want both, as redonk as that is! ?
lol! 😉
Temptation is very… tempting! For the weakest shade of the range I’d say it looks pretty good, especially wet!
Haha! 😉
Gravity is so stunning.
It is intense!
These are so gorgeous!
They are!
Wow, your Gravity is really showing a pink/ purple mixed there Christine. Mine doesn’t wear like that at all. Product contamination from the manufacture or missed pigment in mine?
That’s strange.
Mine is super reflective, but it’s got a really dark, dark like asphalt color base to it. I wish I could sample it in a store for comparison.
Very weird! I did buy Gravity from Selfridges, but it shouldn’t vary by region.
