Dior Etincelante (432) Addict Gloss Review, Photos, Swatches

Dior Etincelante (432) Addict Gloss ($29.50 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is a softened, copper and bronze-shimmered peach. Revlon Rosegold is very similar. Revlon Peach is warmer. MAC Social Light is more frosted. MAC Pure Flattery is lighter. MAC Satin Slip is similar. See comparison swatches.

It’s semi-sheer with a lot of shimmer and sparkle, so it seems like it has more coverage than it does. It’s a bit lighter than my natural lip color, but much warmer, so it gives my lips a warm, peachy color overall with finer copper and bronze shimmer. The texture is not too thick or too thin, non-sticky, and comfortable to wear. It lasts four hours and is moderately hydrating during that time. Despite the amount of shimmer in the gloss, it doesn’t feel gritty as the gloss wears away.

I’m always on the lookout for the most saturated, golden shimmer lip gloss . I’d want it to offer a nice wash of gold when layered over lipstick, but also buidable to where it almost looks like a bar of gold with additional layers. But what I’ve found is that most aren’t very saturated, and simply look like clear gloss with a small amount of shimmer. Would you say this one fits the bill? If not, which lipgloss would you recommend that would show up on dark (NC45) skin?

Hi Tam,

The problem is opaque gloss and sheer gloss are kind of different in a way – like a truly opaque gloss is going to be difficult to get to be just a sheer wash of shimmer because the base color has to be more than clear. Bobbi Brown’s Canary has a LOT of gold sparkle, so it can look more opaque when applied or sheerer – but the base color is very much clear. OCC Triptych is super opaque and gold.

Oh gosh this looks really good on you, Christine and I like it paired with your gorgeous eye look. I scrolled down expecting to find it rather ho hum boring, but far from it. I may have to pick this up. It’s really really pretty!

Oh no. This may be the perfect neutral I’ve been looking fro. Had one for a few years and then it was discontinued. This looks very close. If not, it will add to the collection of “almosts.”.

This is gorgeous! I recently tried my first Dior Addict gloss in 013 Etoilee. The base is basically clear but it has a lot of iridescent, fairy-dust-esque shimmer. I really enjoy the formula of these!

I have a question~ Given the fact there is an obvious dupe for the color (Revlon), what is your preference? Is it all about price or is there something about a luxury brand (consistency, smell) that can’t be replicated? Please let us know!!!
