Dior Dazzling Beige & Dark Sparkle Diorific Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Dazzling Beige (070)
Dior Dazzling Beige (070) Diorific Lipstick ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a darker, more orange-leaning peach with strong, warm undertones and barely-there pearl and gold micro-pearl but the lipstick had more of a satin-matte finish. It looked more complex and shimmery when I twisted up the tube initially, but most of the pearl seemed like an overspray.
The consistency was lightweight, more of a cross between creamy and velvety, and it was unforgiving of any imperfections in lip texture. It applied unevenly and looked crumbly in areas, despite having exfoliated my lips prior to applying it. It had higher medium coverage that stayed on decently for three and a half hours on me, and the formula felt non-drying.

Formula Overview
$40.00/0.12 oz. - $333.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high-color" and "long-hold." The shades were typically semi-opaque to opaque, though it depended on the shade as some were overly emollient, which resulted in sheerer, more uneven coverage. Most shades were smooth, lightweight, and creamy without being too slippery, so they applied evenly, softened the look of lip lines, and were comfortable to wear.
They lasted between four and six hours and felt hydrating while worn. The formula was floral-scented with a very slight taste at times, though I did not consistently taste it.

Dazzling Beige (070)
LELimited Edition. $40.00.
Dark Sparkle (073)
Dior Dark Sparkle (073) Diorific Lipstick ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deeper burgundy with cool undertones and barely-there pearl. The tube was deceptively pearlescent and more duochromatic… as the actual result seemed like the majority of the pearl was an overspray, though there seemed to be actual–albeit faint–pearl strewn through the interior of the lipstick.
It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied fairly evenly, but it could have applied more evenly along the inner area of my lips. The texture was lightweight, creamy, and smooth without being overly emollient, so it did not slide around. The color lasted well for six and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Dark Sparkle is super pretty for wintertime (or anytime for me, actually). But I do have Nars Siouxsie, a listed possible dupe, and I’m thinking I could get a similar effect by applying Siouxsie, lightly blotting, then adding a blueish sparkly gloss like Bite Peacock or something like that.
I hate it when products have misleading overspray 🙁 This being Dior, I’m sure they will sell out but it would have been nice to have the exterior color.
Dazzling Beige is the kind of shade that would leach colour from your face and it’s poorly rated as well. Dark Sparkle is a lovely burgundy shade, but at $40 USD a pop, it is quite expensive.
I feel betrayed by the overspray 🙁
I usually buy a couple of items from Dior’s festive collection because of the packaging, but I guess it will be another nail varnish bottle this year!
Last year’s beige shade didn’t interest me. Looks similar to this one.
At $51, I expect more than overspray. The red and the pink shades usually work better. I was hoping that these would be sparkly.
