Are there any products you're trying to use more often?

I am currently trying to use my skincare more often, particularly things like body cream/moisturizer and face masks.

Yes I have a whole sleuth of toners, cleansers, hand lotions and what not I’m trying to use up and move out of my collection. I’m trying to reduce certain areas so it can be more minimal and practical so I can enjoy other areas that are purely fun and joy!

I’m trying to use up a couple of deluxe lip glosses I bought last year to justify buying more cute holiday lip sets when I’m only wearing eye makeup during mask times.

1. Use things I already have! 😊 I have really been into my project pan & I have been using the Dupe feature a lot this year.
2. DIY facial….when watching tutorials by Lisa Eldridge, Mary Greenwell and Charlotte Tilbury, they essentially do a quick facial with skincare every morning. I have been using skincare from my stash, but incorporating this technique. My dermatologist has positive comments!

I’m very satisfied on my use of products, especially skincare and body care.
I’m trying to push myself to use lipstick more, even if it’s just around the house or during the day when I walk in my apartment complex (easy to social distance and not wear a mask). Just to make use of what I have now.

I have fallen out of the habit of using primers since I’ve mostly been putting makeup on just for myself and only wearing it for a few hours since lockdown started back in March, but I’m trying to get back into the habit of using them. I have some nice primers that really do improve the look of my makeup that will go bad before I can finish them up, so I’m trying to remember to use them more regularly! In the same vein, I’m trying to get in the habit of wearing lip color around the house more. My old habit was to apply my lip color right before I left the house, and since I’m not really leaving, I haven’t been using my lip colors as often.

I’m also trying to get through a couple of open eyeshadow primers that are just fine, but not my favorites, before I repurchase my favorite (NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base). I guess that isn’t a case of using more often, as I’m using one or the other every time I wear eyeshadow, but more a case of trying to continue using them regularly instead of giving in and buying a new primer before I finish off those two!

Trying being the operative word, though not succeeding, I’d have to say my makeup stash? It’s not like I *am* using it much more than a few months back, but I sure am trying to rise above the depression, anxiety and stiffling inertia. Just wish it would get easier.
As for something I actually *do* use more frequently of late, sunscreen and skincare!

Using more body and hair care products in general. I’m trying to fall back into the habit of shampooing and conditioning more often. Apparently, your hair density and scalp health suffers if you don’t clean your scalp enough. I dislike getting my hair wet bc it gets so heavy with that sudden added water weight (which gives me neck tension and sometimes will even set off a headache) so I’ll probably try to trim a few inches off this week: I’m fine with sacrificing some length for density and health.

I’m trying to use up my body care more too. I have a foot cream I’ve forgotten about that I found while decluttering that I’m using. I also unearthed about 8 jars of body cream that I need to work on as well.

There are many skincare products that I am trying to use more regularly: one is the Dermal Body Lotion for very dry skin on my arms and legs every night. I really recommend this product for dry skin.
Another is the Dermal Heel balm for my feet – my heels can get very flaky and this one works also.
Now that our summer is coming around, I have been purchasing more sunscreen for both my body and face -it’s just that with our daylight saving in place, it is still quite chilly in the morning, but sunny in the afternoon, so I have to remember to apply it.

I’m pretty consistent with my skincare use but I’d like to incorporate more masks into my routine. Makeup wise I’m trying to use lip liners more frequently for a better defined lip. Right now I do okay without it but I’m not entirely happy with the outcome, especially with bolder colors.

So glad you started this topic! Since I am at home so much this year due to Covid restrictions in my city, I have made an effort to use this time to try all the testers I have from monthly beauty subscriptions and excess products I seem to have overly stocked up on. I have been going through sheet masks (expired even) and facial moisturizers. If the facial moisturizer makes me break out, even if I think it might, I don’t take the chance. Instead I use it on my neck, feet or hands. I do have an accumulation of foundations that I may start wearing around the house! I also label everything so I know which ones are oldest so I can use those first.
