Cosmic Eyes (359)
Dior Cosmic Eyes (359) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($62.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition gold-themed color story accented by a dark, smoky taupe and a matte black hue. The eyeshadows performed well; they were pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with overall.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and comfortable texture" that is long-wearing and has "intense color" (or "high-pigment"). There are five finishes that can be found within various palettes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, highlighter, and glitter, though there aren't specific descriptions by finish, unfortunately.
There were a few shades that seemed more sparkly and were sheerer, more like layering shades, while the other finishes tended to be pigmented. In general, the texture was moderately dense with the matte shades being slightly thinner and a smidgen powdery in the pan compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades.
Aside from those more sparkly shades, the formula was blendable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted an average of eight hours on me (without a primer).

This is a beautiful quint and I love the colour story here – although the taupe and black shades are too dark for me. But I know Mariella would love this one!
The TAUPE is too dark for you???? That’s the shade I probably love the MOST (though you will see that in my post, I referred to you regarding the black shade!).
If I’m not able to get my greedy little mitts on this one, the thing that will make it almost bearable is that Christine hasn’t done an eye look with it…I know if I’d seen an eye look from her, I’d be having a tantrum over losing out on this (and I’m still living in hope…)
As much as I do want it, I have a feeling that the the similar, but bronzier and darker leaning PML quint is probably going to win out for me.
Yep, that’s my call on this as well! I ordered the two 5 pans from PML yesterday. I was curious about this one. I love the taupe here.. gorgeous!
Oh how gorgeous! I daresay I’ll be echoing Genevieve’s words when I say that I could happily live without the black shade but if I can EVER get my hands on this, I’ll gladly accept that black shadow just to have this lovely creation (I keep checking The Bay’s website and Shoppers and while The Bay has the other 5 pan, they don’t have this one – they did for about 5 minutes a few days ago and then it was gone but even the other one isn’t available within 100 kms). I’m hoping that it comes into the store before my surgery (a week from today) or that I can order it while I’m recuperating. I can pretty much dupe all these shades (including #4, which I like best) but I don’t want to have to dupe them….I WANT THIS!!!
Although I can dupe all of these shades, this would make a GREAT holiday travel palette! As someone who uses black shadow to tightline, its inclusion is helpful in a quint.
This is such a pretty little grungy palette.
Though I like dark, with age and the fact that I’ve always had a naturally dark undereye area, this would make me look overly done and like I’m dying.
I miss your eyes looks with the palettes and the list of dupes instead of these automatic “possible dupes” that I often find off. I hope you’ll bring them back!
The list of possible dupes is the same list that I input, so they are not different and are as off as much as if I would have done (for better or for worse!), they just don’t have the ratings in yet. It’s quite literally the same list that I enter on my end, just before I’ve assigned them a similarity rating.
I want this quint soooooo bad. I went to add it to my cart at Sephora but it’s not available there yet! Nordstrom might end up getting my money if Sephora doesn’t stock soon…
