Dior Ambre Lumiere (227) Addict Gloss ($29.50 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is described as “peach copper shimmer.” It’s a warm-toned, medium copper-brown with peach and gold shimmer. MAC Get Rich Quick is similar but has less shimmer. Revlon Rosegold is a touch lighter (almost looks pinker on me). MAC Deliciously Demure is lighter. MAC Hearts-a-Beatin’ is a bit more plum in the base color.

On lips, it looks surprisingly opaque, though it does have translucency to it–the natural lip color will come through, but there is a lot of shimmer so the shimmer makes the gloss appear more opaque. This means that your natural lip color will affect the overall coloring; e.g. if you have redder lips, it will appear almost coral-like on. Dior recently reformulated and relaunched their Addict Glosses, and the formula is supposed to feel featherweight, contain Hyaluronic spheres that “keep lips smooth and moisturized,” and also has “mirror-like micropearls [that] reflect light.” It has a lightweight, gel-gloss hybrid texture that feels smooth and is comfortable to wear, and lasts about four hours on me (about average). The gloss is moderately hydrating, and it doesn’t feel gritty even as the gloss wears away.

Dior glosses are very good, I took 3 ( Première Soirée, Spring Ball and Dormeuse ). I love the texture, so lightweight on the lips, the subtle colours and the packaging. I have some very good Kiko glosses and a gloss d’Enfer from Guerlain ( Red Pow ), honestly I think Dior, Kiko or Guerlain glosses are equally good, not drying and pretty. I am slighly disappointed by the Guerlain packaging, the Dior one is impressive and so is the formula.

Before I read what you wrote, my first thought was that looks similar to Revlon Rosegold. But I agreed Rosegold is probably a little pinker.

I agree. I need to replace my Dior gloss but I wanted to wait and see the swatches of the new formula. I hope she review more of these!

I am not crazy about this color but I have the new formula in Dormeuse and Etoilee and the formula is fantastic! So comfortable to wear and good pigment for gloss (I hate when a gloss looks gorgeous in the package but goes on nearly clear). The packaging feels weighty and luxurious, too. I definitely want more colors and I think the formula is better than the old ones.

I was thinking it might be originally, but this ended up being a lot lighter and warmer – like more of a coral/peach than Beach, which looks rather brown (almost taupe in comparison)! http://www.temptalia.com/bobbi-brown-beach-high-shimmer-lipgloss-review-photos-swatches

How would you compare the quality to any of Mac glosses? I have plenty on lip glosses especially from Mac. Are these equal to Mac dazzle glasses? I am lusting over Dior addict gloss in Paradise and Rouge defendu and maybe Spring ball but they would need to be something really special/ unique for me to get them.
