Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

There’s a nod to history here. Dior’s ‘New Look’ was what revolutionized fashion after the scrimp and save years of WWII. 70 years….There’s a Met (museum, not opera) collection, iirc. I like the plum tulle best, as it avoids the ubiquitous black. BB 1 and PT 4 are on my current shade street. Thanks for the swatches.

Back in the late 80’s or early 90’s, Vogue sewing patterns had a modernized version of his New Look suit – the full skirt, the fitted, feminine jacket. A friend of mine had the pattern and it was lovely but it fell to pieces with heavy use (I’ve now taught her the advantages of pattern tracing fabric).

All of them are a nod to history.

As for New Look, it has featured in several of their makeup products. A lipstick and a nail polish at least.

OMG Dior is back!!! Eeeeek!!!! These swatches look awesome! I’m so glad they’re using a better shadow formula now. The last time I bought a Dior quint was maybe 5 years ago? Then they reformulated, and the shadows were awful. I wish they had combined Black Bow and Plum Tulle together in 1 palette but of the two, I like Plum Tulle more. Hope they test well!

These look really good.

I used to have such a soft spot for the Dior quints – Mystic Jade was my first ever high end purchase when I was 18 and I used Crush Glow on my wedding day 8 years ago… and Petal Shine, swoon!!!

I have officially graduated to buying dior. Ever since I started collecting makeup 10 years ago I always wanted a dior quint. I remember as a broke college student wanting the Dior Incognito quint. I am still not rich by any means but I have paid off all my debt from school and medical, so at long last I am able to splurge. I ordered Dior Tutu. Although you did not have swatches of that particular palette… I felt secure enough in the quality of the swatches of the other palettes to go ahead and spring for it.

New Look is permanent? I was told it wasn’t, it was some odd asian release that may be exclusive to some stores. I wish it was permanent. I want it.
