According to Dior, the formula is “highly concentrated with illuminating pigments” that gives you a “radiantly luminous complexion.” There’s not a lot to infer either way about pigmentation, but in general, the Diorskin Nude Air products are touted for natural, lighter looks, which tends to be code for sheerer. #001 has medium coverage, which is somewhat buildable, but it is such a close color to my actual skin tone that it’s hard to distinguish coverage when I’ve applied it as a highlighter (as it is blended out)! The texture was firm in the pan, smooth to the touch with a slight dryness on the brush (liked baked and hybrid gel-powder formulas), but it sat on the skin well and did not emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture. I liked it, but it’s very dupable (even within past Dior releases), so whether it’s a must-have or not will depend on your stash. I really think it’s just a re-release of the Nude (002) from earlier this year; it’s at most, slightly more golden than #001. On me, the powder wore well for eight hours.

I’m a fan. I’m not sure how it would look on me. On you it’s super subtle, perfect for day time!
I bet you’d enjoy it, since it isn’t too shiny at all! Shouldn’t emphasize pores.
Looks really pretty!
It does!
Considering the popularity of the spring highlighters, I wish Dior would just make one permanent!
I’m curious if this is permanent or not (there’s no real info either way – sooo difficult to tell on the reatilers’ websites at the moment) – if I have to assume, I always assume LE!
It’s beautiful, but I’m well stocked up with highlighters in this color family. Love that new Shiseido lipstick!! I’ve been looking for that kind of color for a while, will put on my wish list.
I’m not surprised! It’s very dupable.
Hi Christine, Thank so much for the review I ordered this a few days ago but I haven’t received it yet. The color is perfect. So glad that it received a good review. It looks beautiful on you.
No problem, Maria! I hope you get yours soon.
I think a lot of illuminzers look the same – great rating, but expensive and I am sure that most will have this in their stash.
That’s very true, Genevieve! There are many that overlap.
I love the color but feel I’m well stocked with my current stash. Christine, your eye makeup is gorgeous!
Thank you, Tracey!
This highlighter is absolutely lovely on your cheeks :).
I already indulge on the Dior Glowing Nude (001) this year and I have the feeling that this new version of the Dior Glowing Nude (002) won’t be much different once applied than what I already have (I love a subtle highlight!). Even though I like the fact that it is slightly cooler…
It would be wiser to indulge on something else or keep my money for later, especially with the holiday products coming out soon enough! Hehe
They swatched the very nearly the same for me – heavily or sheered out!
Easy pass then!
I’m really satisfied with the one I already own, and I always go for a subtle glow anyway :).
It is beautiful and visible different enough from the spring release Nude glow. At least on the lighter skin.
Awesome to hear!
This looks very pretty but with this price tag I’m sure I could find something else that looks just as good for less. I love the design though!
I bet you could easily dupe it!
I’ve been dying for a product that would work for me to come out packaged in this compact; I think it’s one of the prettiest and classiest (read: not tacky) that I’ve seen! The other Dior nude air products, like the healthy skin “bronzers” and pressed powders, have all pulled really orangey on my skin, no matter how light. Those glowing gardens highlighters were absolutely perfect, but they sold out so quickly I missed the boat. Even though I would’ve chosen the pink version of those two, I’ve had my eye on this!!
Christine, do you think that this is a bit more sheer than the new tarte highlighter? and/or more or less shimmery/shiny? I definitely prefer the Dior, but I worry about the warmth on both of them for my fair skin!
Yes, I think it is sheerer than the Tarte one and less shimmery!
Like you said, if this is a re-release of the glowing gardens highlighter that came out earlier this year i’m kinda disappointed because i was hoping for a new color, but i guess it’s a good opportunity to get a back up for anyone who wants more or who didn’t get a chance to purchase it at all when 001 & 002 came out.
I couldn’t help but notice the product info page for this lists it as $65 instead of $56. Also, it appears that Dior has more shades of it on their own website. Sephora still only has this shade, but it isn’t listed as Limited Edition (I don’t remember if it ever was).
